Twiphase: this is a rewrite of an old fanfic I wrote long ago. It involves the classic that refused to die; waking-up-in-another-world-as-another-being cliche, or "isekai" for short. The isekai-scenario involves waking up as a gemsona in the Steven Universe series.
This is also my tribute to the series. May it either rest in peace or hopefully have a spin-off.

Chapter 1: And so emerges a dark gem of a hidden trinity
Part 1: Borealis with Shades of Three...
3rd/Narrator POV
During the years of the rebellion against Homeworld, there was a project going on secretly on the depths of the Prime Kindergarten. Throughout then and even after the war, kindergartener gems were ordered by the Diamonds to work on making a geo-weapon known as the Cluster. Little by little, gem shards were collected and gathered in a chamber deep below the Prime Kindergarten. One day however, fellow homeworld gems, once a part of Pink Diamonds' court, grieved over the news of her shattering.
Unable to endure the grief any further, these homeworld gems secretly made a hidden delta kindergarten within an unoccupied facet of pink's incomplete colony. Based on the closest distance between the Prime kindergarten located in the east and Beta kindergarten located in the west, imagine the third kindergarten beginning operations somewhere in the north of the same continent. The Delta Kindergarten will be somewhere within a cavern hidden deep within a mountain next to a valley surrounded by forestry.
Although some wanted to make something similar to the original Pink Diamond, the former court felt divided in opinions. Some wanted to make a purple diamond similar to Blue Diamond, some wanted to make a red diamond similar to Yellow Diamond, and some wanted to make a green diamond similar to both Yellow and Blue. But with time of the essence, the group in question aside their difference in opinions and worked quickly. Whatever substance was used for injector drills were sampled for references in hopes of reverse engineering whatever substance was used to make a diamond. Combining references of recorded trial-and-error- of gem production data, gathered by most kindergarteners altogether, with stolen copy of data from the forbidden archives, they began working on filling the emptiness within themselves.
Within just days before what may have been the last battle for Earth, both the Cluster and their secret project were completed. What they did was never mentioned again, not even to Blue and Yellow Diamond. Some even got onto the battlefield and get themselves poofed and bubbled by the Crystal Gems on purpose, to keep such a secret too great within their silent stasis. All they can do know is wait for the emergence of the diamond of their ideals. However, some Homeworld gems, who were not fortunate enough to either get bubbled or evacuated on time, remembered seeing this weird light and hearing a song before everything went dark.
Time Skip: over 5000 years later
Location: Beach City
In a place called Beach City, there used to be an important gem known as Rose Quartz. She was the leader of the Crystal Gems who rebelled and fought against their Homeworld. Many centuries have passed since they won the war for Earth. One day, Rose encountered with a human named Greg Universe and fell in love. After many dates, Rose decided she wanted to know what it would be like to nurture life. Though many fellow Crystal Gems were against the idea, Rose was with child. However, she would have to give up her very existence to bring forth her offspring into the world. She has already made up her mind and stick with her decision. Many have grieved over her disappearance ever since.
Years have passed since Rose was no longer in the world today. In her place, inheriting her gemstone, was her human offspring. His name was Steven Universe. A lot happened after turning 13 while hanging out with the Crystal Gems. Before turning 14, he learned many interesting things. Other than facing near-death experiences, Steven was doing fine going on missions with the Crystal Gems.
Location: Delta Kindergarten
Unbeknownst to anyone, mysterious forces began to stir deep in the Delta Kindergarten. Throughout the last 5000 years, something unknown was slowly emerging from the ground. Like a shadow growing towards dusk, it spread from center out until it formed big enough before some sort of magical-circle-like platform was etched on the surface with lines that glow like the shades of a borealis...

Everything was dark. Last thing I remembered was being at home, either playing videogames or watching favorite animated series, as part of my days when I can get to relax from the stress of being hounded between many things. Next thing I knew after dozing off, I awoke in darkness.
