Endeavour stands alone - but that has nothing to do with him, now. Iida and Kirishima literally stand between him and death, and Asui is everywhere he cannot reach. Endeavour's greatest pride is his solitude and so he will only ever be Endeavour -

But Shouto's friends hear him out, approve of his logic and then commit greater effort than Shouto could ever ask, taking them from zero to four.

(The villain spits fire. Shouto keeps himself between him and his friends, and thinks, 'I've seen better.')

(Asui whips them away to safety, and the warmth feels like a hug nostalgic but never forgotten. This near, he can feel both Iida's and Kirishima's heartbeats. It doesn't need to be said for Shouto to hear it: 'You're safe, you're defended; should the worst happen then we all go together.')

Shouto cannot take lasers face-on, nor can he outrun or paralyse monsters...but he has friends, and so he can.

He can see it now, what victory looks like.

(Ice rises and doesn't stop until every last droplet of blood solidifies; an inferno, his inferno, combining with existing flame to overload every last cell - )

Freeze hell over, freeze this murderer inside-out...and if that fails - they shall find out just whose flames are stronger.
