Not gonna lie I am frustrated because I just wrote this literally 12 minutes ago and tried to publish only to lose the entire chapter. And then I lost the parts that I had saved because I'm an idiot and didn't think about it so here I am rewriting the first chapter for the Rewritten work of my second story ever on this account The 1 Who Survived which lets face it was not a good story. It had so many faults that I feel awful about it being published so here I am rewriting the work to finally fix what should've been fixed 5 years ago.
I'm kinda laughing because it's ironic how I now half to rewrite the rewritten work. Please laugh at my pain so that I can finally get over my stupidity.
Anyway without further delay here is The 1...The ONE Who Survived Rewritten.
*Prologue*
It was an average day. Much like every other day before it. The Reece's family preferred it this way. They never liked to stray from their normal. Except for when it was one of their three perfectly average children's birthdays.
You see Mary and Josh Reece had always had a soft spot for birthdays and their children found it to be the one day they could truly enjoy, for this was the only time they could be anything but average.
Who are these three children? Why they are none other than Felix Reece the only son, Kimmy Reece the eldest girl, and Anna Reece the littlest of the bunch.
Each child looked nothing like the other but still somehow looked exactly like each other. Kimmy a small brunette had dazzling green eyes much like her mother while Felix had wild red hair and peculiar golden eyes much like his father and Anna had adorable blonde locks like her mother and sweet blue eyes like her father's parents. But each child had the similar dimples and crazy skinny figure that ran in their family.
Many people actually thought their parents were starving them whenever they saw the Reece children but soon found that that wasn't the case. In fact, the Reece children ate an unnatural amount of food but it seemed that their bodies just refused to get bigger.
Each Reece child enjoyed a certain food and for their birthday their mother would buy them that food as a special treat during the supposed average day but each child knew that today was going to be anything but average for they knew today was the day they'd be going to the greatest place on Earth.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria.
It was their brother Felix's most desired place to visit ever since they had first drove past it one winter afternoon. The dazzling lights and the warm smell of pizza left a lasting impression on the three children and since today was Felix's birthday that could only mean one thing.
And that thing was three children + two adults + a couple of friends + one awesome afternoon at the only place that held each child's gaze for longer than 3 minutes in their small town.
Even though none of the Reece kids had ever stepped inside the building they knew they just had to see what was inside it's walls of fun. After all they all fell in love with the show Fazbear and Friends, the only show that featured the fun, lovable characters, that smile on the sign of Pizzeria they pass by from time to time and it was the only show the Reece children could all agree on.
The children also only had an hour per day to watch television so they knew they couldn't just sit and argue on what to watch so when Fazbear and Friends came on for the first time and wormed its way into the Reece's family's hearts they were all able to say that that was the show they would be watching for that hour.
Mary and Josh were definitely happy to bring their children to the restaurant for Felix's birthday especially since that meant they wouldn't have to pay for anything too expensive like the places they could go to for the other shows they watch on tv.
It wasn't long before the Reece family bundled their way into their family station wagon, each child bounced in their seats glued to their window in hopes of catching a glimpse of the twinkling lights to the building that was their destination.
"I can practically smell the pizza!" Anna chirped excitedly.
"I can practically hear the band singing!" Mary and Josh looked back to their children and smiled at their antics. Felix only chuckled. The two girls looked to their older brother whose hand was now patting his pocket which was full of quarters that he had saved up from the chores he had done as well as odd jobs he had completed for his neighbors.
"Oh yeah? Well all I can hear is old Fatbear's cries as I exit the arcade with all of his prizes." The two girls stared up at their brother in awe as the family pulled into their destination.
"Alright kids make sure to be on your best behavior. Remember the rules about birthdays. If you wanna continue to have fun parties like this one you half to stay out of trouble." Mary's voice harped to them. Mary never had a harmonious voice either it sounded more like the stereotypical Karen's voice but she wasn't an entitled parent and her children were far from spoiled. But you could be sure that she'd make your ears bleed if you had to talk to her for longer than an hour or 2.
"Lay off them hun. They aren't even listening to you anyway they're more focused on the fun they're gonna have today." Josh then parked the car and got out of their station wagon. Mary just sat and sulked for a moment or two as her children followed their father into the restaurant. She muttered to herself before following her family.
The children stared at everything in wonder, never in their lives had they ever been to such a place.
"Alright kids your Mom and I will go grab us a table. Go nuts, we'll call you guys back when the food gets here." With that Josh grabbed Mary's hand and made his way to an open booth. Mary, who was very adamant on not leaving her children to go roam about by themselves, struggled on letting her kids out of her sight but dejectedly allowed her husband to pull her away from them.
"I wish you wouldn't undermine my parenting." Was all the children heard before their parents were out of ears reach.
"Alright so where do go firs-'' The youngest Reece barely finished her sentence before she noticed her two older siblings had up and left her on her own. She watched as her older siblings went in complete opposite directions, Felix going to the arcade and Kimmy going to the show stage to watch the band perform.
Anna tried to join them but found that she was much too small to see over the other children at the show stage and couldn't seem to get her brother's attention when she tried to join him and his friends at the arcade.
So she did the only logical thing she could think of, she went to join her parents at the table. But even there she was ignored for her parents were too busy yelling at one another to notice the tiny tot. So Anna just sat by herself eating a small slice of pizza from the kind waitress who smiled sadly at the poor girl.
Back with the older kids, Felix and his friends were dominating every game they played. However to Felix the games were far too easy since not many second graders and third graders were the best gamers and these were the type of children that predominantly played these arcade games. After all he was a fifth grader so for him it wasn't much fun if you won without a struggle.
Felix would never let his parents know but he'd always loved sneaking out to the old Arcade on West Clover Avenue to play every game until he was on the high score list. His friends of course would join him whenever they had money but it was usually just Felix and the teen that worked at the joint, Barry.
Barry of course was there all the time so he had a lot of the high scores and Felix knew he'd never beat them but that didn't mean he didn't try and Felix will proudly tell you that he was number one on the Pitfall machine. Barry didn't care much for the game so he just let the kid have it.
But here all the games were super easy to get the highscore first try and there's no point in winning if there wasn't a struggle when playing. If anything they just wasted his quarters especially since they only gave you two tickets per game you won. So Felix chose to keep his money and instead got himself a few baseball cards from the prize corner so that he wouldn't be stuck with the tickets.
This was when he heard it. It was the voice of Freddy which was pretty normal considering where he was but it wasn't the voice that peaked his interest it was the word "Foxy" that caught his attention. Felix and his friends turned to the show stage just in time to see the curtains of Pirate's Cove open up. The lights then dimmed on the show stage and the children surrounding the larger stage began to make their way over to Pirate's Cove.
Not wanting to miss the show Felix made his way over to see his most favorite animatronic perform. Beside him sat his sister, Kimmy, who looked just as interested in the show as he was. Felix smiled to himself, he was glad he'd get to spend some time with his friends and sister watching his most favorite character tell them stories about treasure.
Sometime during the show Kimmy noticed a silhouette in the background. She tried not to pay too much attention to it but found that she was drawn to it. She stared at the silhouette a good moment or two before noticing the shadow of ears and a top hat. She smiled ecstatically knowing immediately who that shadow belonged to.
She stood and was about to make her way over to the silhouette only to be grabbed by her brother.
"Where are you going? This is the best part of the story." Felix whispered toward his sister so that he didn't bother the other children around him.
"I wanna go see Freddy." Felix pulled Kimmy back down to a sitting position.
"No way that's the Employee's Only section we can't go back there."
"But I wanna go see him..I wanna say hi and maybe give him a hug. Please." Kimmy looked at her brother giving him the most adorable puppy dog eyes imaginable.
"Fine." Felix then stood and walked with his sister towards the Employee's Only Section.
"Why are you coming, you don't even like Freddy that much."
"Because if you get caught we all get in trouble. And I don't want Mom and Dad cancelling birthdays because of you being stupid."
"Rude." They both continued to make their way sneakily to the Employee's Only section unbeknownst to the two Reece children were the four other kids following them. That was until they heard two of those four kids start bickering with one another.
Felix turned and saw the four kids and grumbled to himself.
"What do you morons think you're doing?" He grumbled. The four kids sheepishly responded on how they wanted to see Freddy too. They were all friends of Felix so he didn't feel bad calling them morons but to Kimmy all of these kids were strangers.
"Felix you can't just call random people morons. Plus Mom and Dad said you can't say that word period." Felix gave his sister a harsh glare before introducing his friends to her.
"These random people our my friends." He then pointed to each of them saying their name.
"The blonde girl is Samantha, the brunette is Max, the blonde boy is Max's little brother Robert, and the black haired boy that looks like he's the president of the Bonnie fan club is Andy."
"I'll have you know I am the president of the Bonnie fan club. And the secretary." The black haired boy sassily turned from Felix rather annoyed like before giving Kimmy a Bonnie sticker.
"And we're always looking for more members." The boy smiled down at Kimmy before being shoved by Samantha.
"Enough promoting your stupid club if we don't hurry we're gonna miss Freddy."
"Fine you guys can come. But you have to be quiet or else we'll get caught and then no one gets to see Freddy." Felix then turned and started walking into the Employee's Only Section.
"Please the employee's here suck at their jobs. Last Tuesday Jacklyn said she went behind the curtain in Pirate's Cove and stole one of Foxy's teeth. She said it took her hours to get the tooth out and no one ever noticed." Max picked his nose as he talked. All of the kids made disgusted faces at the boy as they walked.
"Yeah, well Jacklyn's a liar." Samantha huffed at the boy.
"You only say that because you're jealous that she has the balls to break the rules unlike you." Andy shoved the blonde as they walked. Samantha had no trouble shoving him back as they neared the silhouette of Freddy.
"That's not true. Jacklyn lies all the time. Besides there's no way she could spend hours behind Pirate's Cove pulling out one of Foxy's teeth. Foxy always performs at a certain time and he's made of metal. Plus Jacklyn's Mother would never let her stay here for longer than three hours."
"Well she never said how many hours it took her she just that it took her a lot of hours so maybe she did it in three." Before Samantha could respond a Golden Freddy suit walked out of the room it was in.
Each child froze and looked up at the suit in awe. They had never seen a Golden Freddy before.
"No way.."
"He's golden…"
Kimmy wasn't sure which of Felix's friends had spoken but she couldn't help but nod in agreement with the other children.
"Oh Hey Kids! What are you doing back here? Didn't you know you're not allowed back here? This is the Employee's Only Section."
The children grew nervous around the golden bear. They didn't want to get in trouble with their parents for being back here and most certainly didn't want Freddy to be angry with them.
"I'm sorry Mister Freddy..we just wanted to meet you..I was hoping I could give you a hug.." Kimmy looked up at the bear in fear of his response. The bear only smiled and bent down to her level. The golden bear then opened up its arms for the girl who immediately accepted the hug.
"That's alright sweetie. No harm done. But you should know it's dangerous back here for children."
"Freddy, why are you golden?" Kimmy couldn't tell who had asked the question but she was curious to say the least. The bear released her before giggling towards the group of kids.
"I'm golden because I'm Golden Freddy. I'm the special version of the Freddy you usually see on stage. Barely anyone gets to meet me. So you should all consider yourselves very lucky."
Each child smiled up in excitement.
"But Golden Freddy, how're you not on any of the posters?" The bear looked over to Andy before giving him a very over the top smile.
"That's because I'm a secret. You see I only come out on very special days and when I come out to play only a few kids get to play with me. Those kids are special because they come with me to the secret party room."
The kids all begin to smile to one another as the bear continues.
"I probably shouldn't since you kids were being bad coming back here but do you wanna see the secret party room?"
"Oh yes please!" Samantha squealed in excitement.
"I promise Robert and I will never ever do anything bad ever again just as long as we get to go see the secret party room."
The bear then stood.
"Very well but you have to be quiet so that you don't get caught back here. Only good kids get to see the secret party room and since you disobeyed the sign that says Employee's Only they won't let you see the room if they catch you over here."
The children nod as they follow the bear to the end of the hallway. The bear then opens the door at the end of the hall and all of the children rush inside but they couldn't see anything because of how dark it was inside the room. As soon as the door closed the rest of the light in the room dissipated leaving the kids to be clothed in darkness. They could barely see each other.
There was a resounding click from the door before there was nothing but silence in the room.
"M-Mr. Golden Freddy?" Kimmy never received a response. There were random moments when she would hear yelps from the other children around her. She didn't know what was going on and she couldn't see a thing in the pitch black room. And then she felt it.
A hand had suddenly grabbed her wrist and then swung her around so that her back was to the stranger. She went to scream when a hand covered her mouth. She didn't know what was going on but she suddenly felt some kind of sharp object press against her neck. It wasn't hard but she could still feel a stinging sensation from it.
She closed her eyes not knowing what was going to happen before she heard the sounds of what seemed to have been a struggle between the stranger and someone else. She noticed that the sharp object was no longer at her throat. Deciding this would be her best chance to escape the clutches of the stranger she began to struggle as hard as she could before finally getting out of their grasp.
Once freed the brunette quietly moved away from where she knew the stranger was and attempted to catch her breath. All she could hear were the sounds of a fight between the two individuals. She could slightly make out the silhouettes of the two fighting but in that moment she wished she was still blinded by the darkness.
The small girl fell to her knees as she heard the sound of clothes tearing as well as the sound of a loud screech. From what she could make out in the darkness she could see the silhouette of the stranger removing whatever was in their hand out of the other figure. She then heard a loud thump before realizing that whoever the other silhouette was they were dead.
Now with this added information the girl quietly laid down on the ground in hopes that the stranger would think that she was dead too.
Kimmy could hear the breathing of the monster she was stuck in the room with. She could also hear him talking to himself.
"How many were here with me again? Shit 5?..There was the blonde..the black haired one..red head…" She watched as the silhouette began to move around the room obviously looking for her. After all she was the one that struggled against him so he had to know there was at least one more kid still alive.
It wasn't long before the lights to the room turned on. She could now see the appearance of her murderer. She stared up at the man in fear but refused to close her eyes no matter how badly she wanted to blink. The man had purple hair and purple skin. That wasn't normal. But what's worse was that his body was in a golden like suit and she knew that if she looked around enough she'd find the head of the Golden Freddy somewhere inside here with her.
The man with purple hair began to frantically search around the room for her. She didn't dare move. She barely allowed herself to breath but she knew her heart was beating a million miles a minute and she did not want this freak to hear it.
"Where are you, ya little shit. I know you're in here somewhere."
Kimmy watched as the man finished searching the hiding places in the room before he turned and started checking the bodies. She wanted to flinch every time he stabbed one in the side but knew that it was best to be as still as possible.
It wasn't long before the purple man turned to her. She wanted to close her eyes so bad but she was thankful she closed them whenever he wasn't looking at her. They were so sore from staying open for so long.
The man slowly crept his way towards her and began to look over her body. He then looked at her face and pointed a finger at her eye. She immediately knew what he was going to do and she had no way to stop it. She waited for what seemed like hours before the man touched her eye. It stung worse than a bees sting. She wanted to cry out in pain as the blood from his costume soaked into her socket.
And yet still she laid. The man then removed his finger before reaching for her arm. She knew that as soon as he held it he would know that she was very much indeed alive. But just as he touched her arm he jumped away hearing the sound of footsteps making their way towards the room. He quickly moved all of the bodies into boxes minus her own and then hid his knife atop the tallest shelf.
He then made quick work of his costume before heading out the room. Kimmy could hear what sounded like a conversation before two sets of footsteps started to get farther away from the room.
Kimmy then stood and started to rub her eyes. Tears sprouted from them. She was in great pain.
She didn't know how long she had before that freak came back, all she knew is that if she didn't leave now she'd probably be dead. After all she could tell just by looking at that monster that he knew she wasn't really dead.
Kimmy was about to make her way through the door when she stopped and turned to look behind her. Her brother was in one of those boxes..and he was dead too. She carefully walked over to each box and looked over each child. Their lifeless eyes and gorey bodies made her want to puke.
The smell of iron was all over the room. She finally made it to the last box where she finally found her brother's corpse. His eyes thankfully were closed but just seeing him like this made her want to curl up beside him and hope this was all just a bad dream.
Whimpers slowly began to leave her mouth as she started to cry. Her brother was dead and no matter what she did she'd never get to see him smile ever again.
With a sorrowful heart the girl reluctantly turned from her brother and made her way back to the door. Carefully and quietly she listened for any sort of noise before opening said door.
She slowly poked her head out to check the hall before silently making her way down the empty corridor. Tears continued to fall from her eyes as she made her way back to the main area. She noticed that all the lights were dimmed and the once lively pizzeria was now quiet and empty.
She noticed her parents and sister were standing by the entrance talking to what looked like the police. She also noticed the parents of the other children talking to more officers nearby.
The girl continued to quietly make her way to her parents, too scared to make any noise. Unbeknownst to her was the shady silver eyes that followed her every move from the arcade area.
Kimmy felt like eyes were watching her but when she turned around to see there was nothing there. She did however see the silhouette of a creepy figure at the end of the Employee's Only Section. The figure seemed to wave at her before entering the room at the end of the hall.
Now out of fear of being killed the little girl screamed bloody murder before turning to her parents. But she never even tried to make a move towards them. The little girl instead laid down on the floor and began to hug herself. She was much too afraid to release herself. She couldn't even hear the voices of the people around her who were trying to calm her down.
All the bystanders could do was watch as the little girl continued to shake and mutter to herself quietly.
Anna who was now afraid of whatever happened to her sister continues to just sit and watch from the side lines.
Mary and Josh however did everything they could to calm their sweet child and when Kimmy was finally calm enough to explain what had happened, the police were too late to stop the monster who had taken the lives of so many precious victims who had barely begun to live the life they were given.
As time went on the Reece family continued to live a life that was anything but average. For instance Mary and Josh got a divorce 2 years after the death of their son and that left the girls stuck hopping between parents.
The family banned anything Fazbear related from the house and everyone refused to talk about that tragic day. Kimmy received therapy over the years especially after she started having panic attacks just from the color purple. Her parents had once tried to put her in an asylum just in case she tried to hurt herself but found that a security animal was probably the better course of action.
Kimmy slowly got better but still hated everything purple and chose to get rid of everything in her room that was purple in color just so that she wouldn't half to see it.
Anna changed her name to Lily five years after Felix's death. It was after a fight between her and her mother that had caused it. Mary had told her youngest that the reason she had named her daughter Anna was because she wanted her to be as common as her name was. (Nothing against the name Anna, I love the name Anna. I think it's an adorable name.)
Anna didn't know if it was a true statement or not but she was pretty angry with her mother so she asked her father if she could change her name to Lily so that she'd then be named after his mother which of course he'd agree to.
It did take Kimmy some time to get used to especially after their father and Anna..er Lily got in officiated and everything. But now that she was used to it Kimmy liked the name Lily for her sister.
Their Mother on the other hand was furious. She refused to talk to Lily for a good week or two and even when she did start talking to her youngest daughter again she refused to call her anything but Anna. This of course led to many more fights which finally ended when Lily refused to step foot into her mother's house ever again.
Mary tried to force her from time to time but found it impossible with how stubborn she was. So Mary then tried bribing her with all sorts of gifts but nothing seemed to work. The damage was done.
After that Mary refused to let Kimmy see her Father. She believed that it was her ex-husband that had turned Lily against her and therefore she tried to pull Kimmy to her side of this petty war between her and Josh.
This led to many more court trials but Kimmy in the end chose to stay with Mary so that her mother wouldn't be lonely. Plus that meant less moving between houses. Lily saw this as an utter betrayal and from this day on Kimmy and Lily haven't said a word to each other since.
This brings us to present time ten years into the future with Kimmy turning 20 in a month. The brunette still lived with her mother but was happily taking community college classes online as she searched for a job in the area. Mary didn't mind though all she wanted was to have Kimmy around as much as possible and to Kimmy it felt nice to be wanted.
Not gonna lie that ended up way more dramatic than my first draft but I still feel pretty proud of this. Anyway I know this isn't exactly up to date with the current storyline of FNAF but please keep in mind that this was originally written in 2015 back when FNAF was actually easy to follow. I'm not gonna lie after the sixth game I got kinda confused. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter of The One Who Survived Rewritten. My goal is for this to be a better story then the first. I also hope that this links up with the sequel that I wrote. I'm gonna try and better my other posts and finally finish my other stories. Lots of Love everyone! Bye!
