Greetings here I am back with another post conquest one shot and this time about Nanaka haibara. I've managed to expand the story out a bit more now for this second one and have also included some brief dialogue between her and Tenri though I don't think that I got Terni's dialogue right.

I've not decided yet who I'll do for my the next one so if there is any particular girl that you want to see just tell me who you want in the review box or a private message and I'll try to start writing out a basic draft for the story as soon as possible . If I do get any responses and it is a few if one name comes up the most I'll do a story about her If nothing comes in I'll just choose one myself.

Also please feel free to leave a review for this story or some feedback about my writing that you think that you think could be improved. I would welcome it because I'm still quite new to fan fiction writing and any constructive critism helps.

So to wrap up I hope you enjoy reading pride and shogi – Mint-Car92

It was a warm day with clear sky's one morning in majima city and it was business as usual for everyone with people walking or driving to their destinations. Such as their places of work or school.

One person who was making their daily commute that day was Nanaka Haibara she was making her way to Maijma municipal misato east high school. Where she was a second year student as well as a member of the shogi club. As she walked to school that day she got thinking to herself about events that had happened recently. If there was one thing that Nanaka could not stand it was losing no matter what it was that she was competing to win especially if it was to win at shogi which she planned to become a professional player in one day. She had beaten all who she had played against and had gone looking for new challengers to play against. She had heard that the majimia academy shogi club was the best in the area but beating their club president had been child's play to her she didn't even find him a challenge.

Until suddenly one day out of the blue something she had not seen coming happened someone beat her at Shogi and it was not just anyone who had beaten her but it was her classmate Tenri Ayukawa. To her this was something that she could not accept how she could lose especially to someone like Ayukawa who was anti-social and always seemed to be in another world most of the time. She admitted to herself that she hadn't always treated Ayukawa in the best way possible such as telling her not to space out all the time like an idiot. So when Ayukawa had challenged her to a round of shogi she had expected this to be a quick victory. But instead to her shock she had been beaten for the first time at shogi ever and due to this had caused a gap to open within her heart so she knew that the only way to fill the emptiness within her heart was to win against Ayukawa in a rematch.

So after that she had repeatedly chased and challenged ayukawa to a rematch but she had always run off before she could issue the challenge to her. But recently she had finally managed to have her rematch with Ayukawa outside of her house which she had won and had helped to fulfil the emptiness in her heart.

By this point she had almost reached her school and now looking back on recent events she realised that what had happened with Ayukawa had actually benefitted her because even though it was painful to lose the first time it had helped her to become a stronger player and accept that she would not always win every match that she ever played for the rest of her life and that you have to accept defeat when it happens and to move on.

Having now reached her classroom she entered and saw Ayukawa sitting at her desk waiting for class to start. She decided to go and talk to her a little bit before the class Sensei came in to start class.

Ayukawa-san she said towards the girl as she approached her. This caused Tenri to quickly look and turn towards her with both a look of genuine surprise on her face when she has seen who it was that had called her name.

Haibara- san she said with not a hint of any bitterness in her voice over her recent loss to her.

Good morning Nanaka said to her with a polite nod I was thinking she said later on would you possibly consider playing a game of shogi with me ?

Okay sure that sounds nice she said back with a small smile I'll see you later on she said.

Then I'll see you later Nanaka said to the shy girl with ribbons in her braids as she walked of to her seat before the class Sensei came in to start class for the day.

As she sat there in her seat she thought to herself about how know she may have found someone who could present her with a challenge at Shogi. As well know that she had defeated Ayukawa once she saw them as both on equal footing with each other and this time she would be ready for whatever it was that may come her way because she had realised that she all that she could really do is give it her best shot from now on.
