Jules watched as his sister, his beloved sister, got corrupted. Her two twins had been missing, and even said to have been dead. It got to Aleena and she finally snapped.
"Aleena, no!" Jules cried out, but he was too late. His little sister was no more. Her purple fur slowly began to darken, but became gradient to her hands. Her white minidress becoming a maxi, some of its fabric becoming a train. Her short dark purple hair grew down to her shoulders. She turned around and her once kind, ocean blue eyes, were now cold and filled with devastation and anger. She walked towards her brother, grinning cruelly.
"DADDY!" A young girl's voice cried out. Jules looked behind him and saw his son, Sonic, and adopted daughter, Sally, at the balcony door. Sonic was wearing his white pajamas with emeralds all over, his emerald green eyes filling with fear watching the scene. Sally, in her blue pajamas and watching the scene with terror basically ran over and hugged Jules. Sonic quickly followed, holding his own and Jules staff, one in each hand.
"Dad, w-what's happened to Aunt Aleena?" The nine year old questioned, handing Jules his staff.
Jules looked at Aleena and murmured, "She's been corrupted. She is a Darkened Master now." Sonic's eyes widened while Sally gasped. Soon though, Jules staff went forward as a shield suddenly manifested in front of the three. Aleena had just sent a powerful blast to them but Jules managed to shield it with a spell. "Sonic, you need to take Sally and leave. Now."
"But dad," Sonic was interrupted by another blast and the cracking of the shield. He then could see Darkened start to come and try and surround them. The blue blur gulped, grabbed Sally's hand, and they ran out. Sonic gripped his staff tightly in his other hand, ready to fight when needed.
He rushed to the stairs when suddenly he saw Darkened about to attack. He was about to use a spell but he didn't need to as Knuckles, another one of the Hunters there, attacked it. The Darkened quickly evaporated as if it was never there.
"Knux!" Sally said cheerfully while Sonic sighed with relief. Knuckles at the moment was wearing his brown jacket and cowboy hat, along with his boxing gloves and his favorite shoes. Sonic guessed he probably just got back from a mission, not a hugely dangerous one seeing as he hadn't brought his enchanted brass knuckles.
Knuckles looked at Sonic and asked, "Where's Jules? Chuck was lookin' for him."
"He's out there, f-fighting Aunt Aleena," Sonic whimpered, "S-she's a Darkened Master now." Knuckle's eyes widened with surprise before he growled. He then looked around and saw more Darkened coming.
"I need to get you two out of here, and fast," Knuckles said urgently. Sonic and Sally nodded, seeing the hoard of Darkened coming at them. Knuckles went to attack a few but as Sonic watched the hoard he got an idea.
"Multi-Me," Sonic whispered. His staff's gem glowed and suddenly there were nineteen other Sonics. Sonic mentally commanded them to lead the Darkened away and soon, there was a path for them. Knuckles grabbed the two and they were off.
At the weapons room, Knuckles replaced his boxing gloves for brass knuckles, grabbed Sally's ring blade(which she only used for Self-defense seeing as she was too young for missions), and they headed off quickly. Luckily, there was a secret exit to the underground tunnels which they took, and they headed off to escape, and Sonic wished he could know what was happening to his dad.
When they finally got out, they were met with some friendly faces.
"Ray, Mighty!" Sonic and Sally said excitedly, running over to hug the two. Ray was wearing his blue hoodie and goggles along with his blue shoes. Mighty was wearing a black bikers jacket along with black boots. They had been on a scouting mission. Their weapons, Ray's bow and Mighty's sai's.
While Ray and the kids continued talking for a bit, Mighty walked over to Knuckles and asked, "What happened?"
"Aleena's a Darkened Master, and we got attacked by a bunch of Darkened in the base. I had to get the kids out," Knuckles explained, "I'm going to go back, if you want to come? Ray can keep an eye on the two." Mighty nodded and they told Ray and the kids what they were doing.
"If you find dad, please tell him to come over here immediately, ok?" Sonic asked worriedly, Ray and Knuckles nodded and headed off. Though as they ran off back to the mansion, Sonic already could tell they wouldn't be able to find Jules. He didn't know why or how but he could just feel it.
Ok, Jade here. This story, The Hunters, is actually a rewrite of an old sonic fanfic I wrote. It wasn't finished but I may post the old version onto here for you all to see. It's kind of old and stuff that happened in there, along with a few spells, might not happen here. Though, some stuff may be brought here.
Other than some RR that would be appreciated, maybe you guys can tell me some ideas for Spells? I am not good at coming up with spell names or descriptions, and generators do help but still. It would be much appreciated if you all can help me with that!
