Chapter One: A Fresh Egg.
South island, an island on mobius known for its nice grasslands, ancient ruins, flowing rivers, and its inhabitants. The island was mostly peaceful, and civilizations were growing large and strong. Most of the islanders were animal-like creatures dubbed "Mobians," and one of the more known ones was a speedy little bugger known as Sonic the Hedgehog. One evening he was speeding through his hometown of Never Lake, named after the great body of water that it resides next to. Sonic grabbed a spit-roasted slab of meat from a stand run by a weasel as he dashed by and left some rings behind for the stand owner, much to his dismay. "Hey!" the weasel said, "If you keep going faster you're gonna make all my Krupnik's fly off the counters, you gotta watch yourself!" Sonic turned to the man and scratched the back of his head as he gave an awkward smile and said "Oh i'm sorry, I can't really promise to go slow now. Haha."
Sonic ran off out of the outskirts of the town, running into a forest as he enjoyed his food under the full moon. He was so distracted by all the plants and animals that he wasn't looking where he was going and bumped into someone. The two fell over, Sonic ended up lifting himself up as he rubbed his eye, chuckling to himself. "I guess that stand guy was right, I DO have to watch myself." He then looked over to the man he bumped into, he was round and dressed funny, with a big mustache and glasses. Sonic, concerned about the strangers wellbeing, moved his hand towards him, asking "Hey, are you alright?" The round man grabbed onto sonic's hand and helped himself up after grabbing his cane as well, he gave a gentle smile to sonic and said "Oh thank you, yes i'm fine. My name is Ivo Robotnik, and who might you be, you indigo creature?" Sonic pointed to himself with his thumb, "I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog! It's very nice to meet you Mr Robotnik! Sorry for bumping into you." Robotnik shook Sonic's hand and smiled nervously as he said "No no, you don't have to worry. I wasn't looking where I was going either, I was too busy running from a bunch of things I saw!" Sonic raised his eyebrow at the man, his face gave Robotnik the impression that he was totally confused. "Bunch of things? Like what?" Sonic's question was immediately met with a large shaking in the ground as both he and Robotnik looked around nervously, until six ghosts surrounded the pair, Robotnik cowered behind Sonic at the sight of them. "THAT bunch of things!" Robotnik said, with Sonic smirking and stretching his arms and legs as he responded. "Oh, a bunch of Hyudoros, they're NOTHING! Stick with me Robotnik and you'll have nothing to worry about!"
Robotnik nodded as Sonic grabbed onto his hand, stretched his body a bit more and then looked back at the human. "I suggest you hold on tight," he said with a smirk, "don't want to leave you here with this group of ghouls!" Robotnik nodded and tightened his grasp on the hedgehog, Sonic looked forward as the Hyudoros closed in. "Here we…." Sonic said as he got his body looking ready to run in the olympics, he had a big pause in his speech before finally saying "GO!" And with that, Sonic boosted forward with great speeds as Robotnik held on tightly. Three of the ghosts followed Sonic as the other three disappeared. One of the ghosts managed to catch up as it tried to charge into the hedgehog, only for Sonic to sidestep and dodge the specter entirely. Sonic continued running forward as two other hyudoros managed to catch up, the two ghosts nodded and then both charged into Sonic, only for the cerulian hedgehog to leap into the air and leave the two ghosts bumping into each other. Sonic stuck his tongue out at them as he continued to boost, still holding onto Robotnik as they got closer to a clearing. Suddenly, the three other ghosts that surrounded them, closing in on the pair. Sonic stopped in his tracks and let go of the man as he looked back at him. "Don't worry," Sonic said, his smirk not going away, "I got a way to get these guys off our trail for good!" Robotnik, shaking in his boots, nodded his head and said "Please do Sonic, I don't want to see these spirits any longer!" Sonic took three steps forward and looked at the ghosts, little zolts of blue lightning surrounding the hedgehog as his eyes gleamed a similar blue. Sonic raised his hand up and shouted "Sonic Wind!" as he ran extremely quickly around the three ghosts, creating a blue tornado that trapped the hyudoros in a vortex. The tornados dissipated, and the ghosts, so dizzy by the sheer speed and intensity, faded away.
"Sonic that was amazing!" Robotnik said, jumping in glee. Sonic smiled at the man and gave him a thumbs up as he responded "No problem Mr Robotnik, always glad to help someone in need!" Sonic turned around and was about to run off, only for Robotnik to quickly run up to him and put his hand on the hedgehog's shoulder. "Sonic please wait," the man said as he grabbed Sonic's hand and shook it, "before you go, I want to show you something, it's the least I can do for you saving my life!" Sonic wasn't sure what Robotnik would show him, but he didn't want to be rude to him so he nodded his head and Robotnik leaped into the air in joy. "Excellent! Thank you so much my cyan companion, I assure you you won't be disappointed!" Robotnik pointed northern as Sonic, once again holding onto him, ran that direction and ended up in a wide open area, in the area was a large amusement park covered in bright lights and colors. A large sign in front of the amusement park said the name, "EggmanLand." Sonic looked on in wonder, with Robotnik walking in front of the mammal and stretched his arms out wide with a big smile on his face. "Get a load of this, my magnum opus, an amusement park of my design, EGGMANLAND!" Sonic looked up at Robotnik, a huge smile coming across his face as he was so amazed, asking "Wow, YOU made all of this?" Robotnik chuckled as he looked at sonic, he then turned to face his amusement park and waved his hand to the right, saying "Not exactly, I had a little help from my assistants. Speaking of which, COME ON OUT BOYS, I HAVE SOMEONE TO SHOW YOU ALL!"
Three figures ran out of EggmanLand, two robots and a fox. One of the robots was more spherical, while the other had a more cube-like appearance, the fox meanwhile was in between orange and yellow when it came to the color of his fur as he took off his goggles and gave a playful smile. Robotnik pointed at the trio and smiled at Sonic once more. "These three are my assistants! The red robot over there is Orbot while the yellow one is Cubot." As Robotnik said this, Sonic looked at the pair of robots and waved, Orbot gave a formal bow as Cubot crossed his arms in slight annoyance, but then gave a little smirk. Robotnik then pointed at the fox, who was done putting a wrench he had back in a little bag he had strapped around his body. "And this," Robotnik said, "Is Miles, my apprentice when it comes to engineering! This fox boy is a genius, and he's been a great help!" After hearing that, Tails blushed and rubbed the back of his head as he said "Well, thank you doctor, and who might we have the pleasure of meeting?" Robotnik smacked himself in the forehead and then immediately pointed at Sonic while saying "Oh my, how could I forget? This right here is-" Robotnik got cut off as Sonic gave a semi formal bow and said "I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog! Your pal Robotnik got in some trouble in the woods and I just decided to help him out."
Orbot and Cubot shook both of Sonic's hands, and then the two robots floated off to the side as Miles walked over to Sonic and shook his hand with a big smile on his face. "We thank you for helping out the doctor." The fox said, in which Sonic responded with "Well it was nothing, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I just let him get hurt!" Miles walked back to Robotnik and the two robots as Cubot turned to face EggmanLand, the robot saying "As nice as it is to talk to you, we and the doc need to get back to work, we gotta make sure this place is good enough for when we open up tomorrow." Robotnik checked his watch and looked back in shock as he shouted "By Light Gaia, we might not have enough time to get things ready, oh dear oh dear!" Robotnik then jogged towards Sonic and placed his hands on his shoulders as he spoke more softly. "Sonic, you're a pretty fast guy, aren't you? Do you maybe wanna help us get stuff done? You know what they say, the more the merrier." Sonic looked at his new friend and then looked up at EggmanLand, he smirked and looked back at Robotnik, winking at the doctor. "Don't worry Robotnik, I'll be sure to help you all out! Tell me what to do and I'll be sure to help!" Robotnik once again leaped into the air in glee as Orbot and Miles jumped up too, with Cubot giving a simple thumbs up as the group headed into EggmanLand, getting everything ready for the grand opening tomorrow.
