Well that was Unexpected. . .

Chapter 1

Curiosity Killed The Cat

The Castles residence was for once silent. The hallways void of life as darkness clouded its corners. . It was a rare time where you would think the Bad Sans are resting away in their own little spaces. Yet one is found to be disturbing that silence.

Killers Prov

Killer was feeling restless for once. Needing to escape the four walls of his room, he made his way through the corridors to venture a part of the castles south wing. a side that has almost never been in use from what Killer know. He's asked Nightmare about it before, having been curious as to why the Boss had said the area was to be left alone when the group was first brought here. He was met with an empty coffee mug that almost made contact with his nasal ridge had he not ducked out of its way, then told it was none of his business. . We all know how much of a good listener Killer is!

Chuckling at the thought, his ever-present grin twisted a little at the corners as empty sockets took in the windowless hallway and growing amount of cob-weds that littered the corners and small chipped out holes in the stone walls. Peculiar how this part of the castle is left in ruin while the rest is at least treated with some care and maintenance! He could not help but grumble aloud at how he was having to use the flashlight on his phone just to see where he was walking! Another thought to add is HOW LONG IS THIS DAMN HALLW- Oh wait it just opened up into a bigger room.

Giving out a low whistle between slightly parted teeth, Killer circles the flashlight beam around the open space.

"Well this is weird. ." The room appeared to be more of an open living room, some furniture laying in disarray and some even appeared to have been broken apart or shredded while others where neatly placed against the walls with growing dust and cobwebs." Heh, I'm sure Dust would feel right at home, got lots of Dust-bunnies To keep him company."

Chuckling to his pun, he took note of how this room too was windowless. . Further back he could see two staircases that both started at each wall then went up to meet in the middle to a second level. Some of the stairs were in bad shape as well, considering how a few of the floorboards were caved in. . Oh wait, one side of the stairs looks climb-able!

"Let's see. . Climb the stairs and risk being strangled by the boss? Or call it a night and never mention this to anyone except to maybe Dustbunny? Hmm. . Decisions, Decisions. . " Taking his chin in mock thought, his grin grew to almost a manic appearance as he pointed the flashlight back over to the stairs, chuckling aloud as he made his way over while stepping over the occasional broken chair leg and pieces of glass from an unknown object, a trail of footprints following behind into the thick layering of dust across the stone flooring.

The railing of the stairs was fairing no better in this mass array of chaos. It looked almost close to falling off if someone even tapped the thing. . Good thing he was sticking to the wall.

He pressed his back against the wall as he sidestepped along the stairs. Each step being cautious as the boards supporting him either creaked loudly under the weight or gave a faint but loud slight splintering sound that caused him to quickly move along to the next step. One of the steps almost gave out on him as he made it to the second floor, breathing in hard in none-existing lungs as he bent over, looking behind him over at the stairs before shaking his head, fixing his hold on his phone as he took in his surroundings.

"Well, this is getting even weirder. . . " The second floor turned into another open space only smaller in size compared to the floor below. There where five doors along the walls, two on the left side as well as two on the right while the fifth door was placed into the back middle of the wall. the floor of this room looked a bit unstable to Killer chose to approach with caution as he ran his flashlight over each door."Huh. "

Each door he passed over with the light appeared to be different in size, shape, and color. What appeared to be odd to him however is how each door looked perfectly new. . The stone walls that were housed around them were cracked, dust and web covered. However these doors were clean of such things. .

"Ookay. . Nothing strange about any of this. Oh wait, I can blame it on being 'Magic' Like any normal magic made being would." Killer could not stop the snickering that escaped him as he took in a closer look at each door, starting from the left side first.

This door appeared to look like scaled metal, a leaf pattern could be made out in its dull sheen and the color appeared to be a rust copper color. The surface of the metal was dulled to a low point to where there was no visible reflection but still glossed with the color of the metal from the flashlight. The door, in general, was shaped almost like an iron gate of a garden or the iron gate to someone's house. The door was lacking a door handle as well, in its place was instead what looked to be a small keyhole.

Humming in thought, he leaned down, inspecting the keyhole closely before pulling back." a door that only opens one way with only a key. . Wonder if this was what the boss was hiding. " Shugging to himself, he moves on to the next door.

The next-door looked to have been made from mirror glass. its entire surface was made of tear-shaped pieces of glass that were put together in a blooming flowering shape, starting out from two middles, then spreading out to the odd shape of this door. The shape of this door is that of a curvy hourglass yet the bottom was wider than the top, however where the two shapes meet was a small circle red gem with small two teardrop gems in the middle of each flowering middle, one dropping downwards, the other dropping upwards. The mirror pieces were differently colored as well, the smaller top pieces of mirror glass being in colors of normal, to a gold sheen few, somewhere painted white, while some of the outer edges of the top half wherein a very light sheen of blue.

The bottom half had an opposite scheme of colors, some mirror pieces having a light red sheen look to them, some normal pieces, somewhere painted black while some shade a dark grey sheen color. Close to the color of dust actually. .

Killer tensed a bit, this door having him looking back at the small fractured reflection of himself and the light. His sockets looking over the at the two tear gems that laid in the middle of each mirror flower. The glow of his own red target shaped SOUL pulsed a bit as he took in the coloring. .

". . . " He backed off once noting there was no handle for this door either but a keyhole as well, choosing to move on and skip the middle door of the back wall and going to the right side, starting with the first door there while his free hand slowly rose up to rub over his sternum of his chest, under where his SOUL was slowly pulsing before resuming its dim glow.

The first door on the left had Killer frowing his bone-brows. . . It was shaped like a top hat. . No really, he's not kidding, it is in the shape of a cartoony top hat.

The shape alone was large much the same height as the first two. This door looked to have been made from a felt-like fabric over cushioned wood! The way the dark purple fabric was stitched had helped make the shape of the door pop out even more in appearance, giving it a bit a cartoonish yet 3-D effect, even the dark maroon red strip that played as the band around the base of the hat had a textured popped look to it as well as what looked to be swirls stitched into the red fabric in thin lines of gold thread.

The first thing that popped into his head was picturing Nightmare with a top hat stuck to his head while running away from a happy white rabbit. . "snerk! Hahaha! Oh man, the Boss would be Killin me! Hehe! What a way to ease up this dooring night!"

His giggling fit having finally eased up, he looks over the door to find yet again, no door handle and only a keyhole. He grins at the door before moving on to the next.

The fourth door was a bit. Eccentric? Yeah that should be the word for it. . The shape alone was odd. The design shape of this door was that of an oval. . a LONG oval. The top of the oval reached to the cracked ceiling while the end met the floor. . The doors main color was black while over it was large splattered of neon spraypaints, ranging from Neon Pink, Blue, Red, Purple, Yellow, Orange, and Cyan. . What made it odder was how some of the dripping paint was not in the same drip off pattern! Some dripped off to the left, some to the right, some upwards, some downwards, some even directed itself to drip down into the middle in some spots! Either someone was bored and took time to paint each color and let it dry then change the angle or he could be a smartass again and blame it on 'Magic'.

Finding the same result as the last three doors, this being the fourth handleless one. He moves onto the last door in the middle.

The last door was. . Not was he expected after the last four. This door was given a more church arch door and had a pale gold trim running around its frame, the door itself was pitch black with very faded and worn carved designs of stars and moons into its wood grain. The more he looked, the more he realized that the wood was not painted black but was ACTUAL black wood. . Huh, that's a new one. It even had a faded gold metal sun with a silver moon in it's middle that was centered in more of the middle top of the door.

What got Killer the most curious was how this door had a handle on it! Moving from four doors to find the fifth with a handle was rather a curious thing but currently Killer was more curious about what was on the other side of THIS door.

The handle was a simple latch lock door, a tongue at the top you push down to release the latch to pull the door open. The color much the same as the faded gold trim.

Killer wipes his hands over the cloth of his white shorts before going to grab the handle, his grin twitching in the corners as his SOUL gave a bit of a pulse as his thumb bone clicked down the tong-

"What are you doing Killer. . "
