CHAPTER ONE
It was a quiet weekend night at the UA dorms, the students of class 1A were finishing the last little bit of unwinding before the end and the start of the week ahead. Two of the students were just now getting back from a day out in the town.
"Thank you so much for inviting me out Izuku!" The pink haired and enthusiastic Mina said to her companion as they strolled down the sidewalk. "I-it was no pr-problem Mina." Izuku said back, flustered from the day they had spent together. He let out a sigh of contempt, tilting his head up to the sky as the stars began to twinkle overhead, "it's beautiful isn't it," he began to say, the stammer in his voice suddenly gone,"it's so peaceful, no villain attacks in the recent month, it's been great, being able to focus on our work and improving ourselves". Mina looked up, looking at the moon as it gradually began to shine, "yeah it's nice isn't it", she paused for a moment, "hey um you ever wonder if we're alone?". Izuku looked at Mina, pondering her question. He smiled, shrugging, "not sure, since quirks came about we didn't spend as much into space exploration and over in America the funds for SETI got redirected towards quirk research".
Mina nodded, her pace slowing slightly as they neared the dorm entrance, "yeah, sorry about that heh, just sometimes my brain just goes off on its own but maybe someday we'll find life out there". Izuku smiles, nodding silently as they come to a stop. Opening the door they see that the dorm has gone quiet, each student had gone to their rooms to sleep. "Hey Mina, thanks for coming along, it was fun today, although I'm still surprised about you agreeing because aren't you and Kirishima…" Izuku trails off, halted by Mina chuckling, "it's okay my dude, she says with a smile on her face, "yeah he and I are dating but he's okay with me hanging out with friends, he's a good guy, not a stickler like some people". Izuku let out his own small chuckle and a sigh of relief, "O-okay, well, l-lets get you back to your room then". Mina beamed, "awww well thank you kind stranger", laughing as Izuku started going a deep red from her tease, she patted him on the back letting him know she was just joking around as they headed up to her room.
As the two went along the hallways towards Minas room, they began to hear shuffling, voices coming from Kirishima's room, "oh Izuku, lets go pop in and see what he's up to, he might like to hear what all we did today" Mina said as she veered off towards his room. Izuku followed, agreeing with the plan. Mina stopped at the door and upon finding it slightly ajar she grabbed the knob and pushed it open. "Hey Kirishima hun we're ba…." she trailed off abruptly as she walks in, eyes wide as she looks upon the sight before her, Bakugo was in the room as well, on top of Kirishima naked, she could see everything, both of their bodies covered in sweat as Kirishima bolted upright, stammering to get words out as they were caught in the act. "M-Mina! Y-your back, this...this isn't what it looks like!". Mina has none of it though, Bakugo was clearly inside Kirishima, they had been cheating on her with each other, she didn't say anything, huffing as she turned to leave, grabbing Izuku by the arm as she began to walk to her room, not before slamming Kirishima's door and dissolving the knob and part of the door with her quirk. Izuku just stood their in disbelief, letting her drag him with her to her room, shutting the door behind them as she walked to her bed, falling face first and beginning to cry. He looked back towards the door, closing his eyes as his brain still processed what happened, he walked over instinctively, sitting down besides her and began to rub her back and shoulder, not saying anything. Mina didn't shrug him off though, letting him try to comfort her the best way he could, she sniffled, her crying muffled by her arms as she laid there. Izuku would stay there until she fell asleep, getting into her bed himself and cradling her, vowing in his mind that his friendship with Bakugo was over once and for all, and Kirishima would regret hurting Mina.
It was the middle of the day, Mina had sat with Izuku and the gang for lunch, but she had mainly kept to herself, eyes staring down at her food as she played with it, barely taking a few bites. Izuku looked over to her worried, reaching out but retracting his hand quickly, not sure if he should speak up. Uraraka though wasn't as hesitant to break the silence, "Mina, what's wrong?" She asked with concern, "you don't normally sit here and you haven't been yourself at all today, what's the matter?" Mina didn't look up to acknowledge her friend, simply huffing and pushing her food away, putting her head in her arms as she began to cry. "Izuku let out a deep sigh", last night Mina and I caught Kirishima in bed cheating on her with Bakugo", as he said his former friends name he put a bitter emphasis on it, looking over in his direction. Bakugo met his glance, smirking and sticking his tongue out before leaning over and kissing Kirishima on the cheek in which Kirishima blushed and looked away ashamed. Izuku scoffed at the scene, turning back to his friends and Mina, "it wasn't right what they did, and because they made Mina hurt I'm going to do whatever I can to make her happy again". Uraraka smiles warmly, nodding as she placed her hand on Minas shoulder, "it's going to be okay, Izuku is there for you, and we are too". Mina looked up from her arms, giving everyone a weak smile as she picked herself back up, sniffling and drying her tears. "T-thank you" she said faintly as the group continued on with their meals. As lunch was winding down Izuku, Mina and the rest noticed Aizawa headed in their direction, curious Izuku spoke first, "Aizawa sensei, what brings you over?". Aizawa stopped in front of him, eyes scanning the group, "We're meeting outside for our next class, once the bell rings get your gym uniforms on and meet me in the field, don't be late". As He turned to leave he looked at Mina specifically, "don't worry about the door, it's being taken care of, just don't do it again." With that he turned and left leaving the gang to clean up and head to the locker rooms to change.
As the class filled out on the field Aizawa came shuffling out in his normal yellow sleeping bag, "alright class listen up", he began, "we're doing team exercises for now, splitting you into groups of two and sparring with another group. Use what you've learned throughout your time here and pin your opponents down, 5 seconds and you win, at which point you then do the same with another group, until everyone's sparred with everyone, do you understand?" The class all nodded their heads, "good, now hurry up and begin" Aizawa said with a yawn as he laid down on the ground zipping up his sleeping bag.
Izuku wasn't really looking forward to it, and he imagined Mina wasn't either as Bakugo and Kirishima immediately teamed up, already starting to spar with Todoroki and Momo. Izuku looked over to Mina, opening his mouth to speak but immediately shutting it as Mina had already grabbed his arm, offering him a small smile as they headed off towards Uraraka and Lida.
It wasn't long before Izuku and Mina had to go up against Bakugo and Kirishima, which both were dreading it, seeing as how emotions and feelings could easily get the better of them during fights. Izuku turned to his partner, putting a hand on her shoulder, "it's gonna be okay Mina, we'll get through this' '. Mina smiled, a little more cheer in her face this time as she spoke up, "yeah thank you Izu", the sudden nickname making him blush, "besides a little payback wouldn't hurt''. Izuku wanted to go against her mention of payback but decided against it, deeming it appropriate and a way to let off some steam as they prepared to face Bakugo and Kirishima. They met them in the middle, a fair distance away from the other sparring teams, no one spoke a word to each other as they readied themselves. Bakugo was the first to break, screaming his usual "DIE!" As he lunged forward towards Izuku, launching an explosion towards him. Izuku managed to roll away, followed by Mina coming up from behind surprising Bakugo with a jet of acid, melting the left shoulder of his track jacket. Bakugo scoffed and continued his Barrage, not seeming to notice Kirishima not participating, standing there shuffling his feet into the dirt as the others fought off Bakugo and his explosive onslaught. Seeing this Izuku managed to slide away from another blast from Bakugo, coming up from underneath Kirishima's left side, slamming his foot into his jaw with a five percent boosted strike sending Kirishima flying several feet into the air landing hard on the ground. Mina rushed over following up with a slap to the face as he tried to get back up. He looked at her, his face red from her hand as she glared at him, "I loved you Kirishima, I trusted you and you betrayed me", she spat, spitting in his face with her words, "we're through". Kirishima stood up, eyes to the ground as he let out a sigh, "understood" is all he said as he brought up a hardened fist straight into Minas stomach knocking the air out of her lungs. "Mina!" Izuku exclaimed as he rushed over to her, helping her up as she cradled her stomach, "I'll be alright" she told him, scowling at her now ex-boyfriend. "Let's get these assholes''. Izuku nodded, rushing towards Kirishima with a five percent punch which missed as Bakugo slammed into his back, letting off another explosion tearing through the fabric of his jacket. Letting out a yelp of pain Izuku rolled, swinging his fist upwards in a wide arc, putting more power into his swing as it connected with Bakugos face, sending him reeling towards Mina as she brought her hands together slamming them down onto Bakugos exposed face making him fall to the ground in a loud crunch. Kirishima rushed over to Bakugo, helping him up as he glared at Mina, "that's enough, I'm sorry I did what I did, but if you want to get serious so be it". Letting go of Bakugo he sprang forward, hardening his arm fully, bringing it into Mina and her unprotected gut, sending her back ten feet. Izuku chased after her, catching her and then lunging forward, charging his fists in a sudden burst of anger, pouring more power into his hands than he should, bringing them together in a thunderous clap, sparking the air as the shockwave sent Bakugo and Kirishima flying, the other teams getting knocked over as well from the blast. Izuku suddenly dropped to the ground, his arms and hands sending him jolts of pain as his appendages hung limp at his sides, Mina rushed over as fast as she could, "Izu are you okay?" She asked him, holding him gently as to not cause him more pain, unaware that his little shockwave attack had left a mark in the air that was beginning to spark. "Yeah I'll be fine once I go visit the nurse" he said with a pained chuckle. Mina laughs with him helping him start to walk over toward the building not noticing the sparking in the air intensifying as with a sudden BOOM, a hole opens up. Aizawa shouts for them to get out of there, but it comes too little too late as the hole immediately starts sucking up air, grass, and dirt all around it, causing Mina and Izuku to lift into the air. She grabs a hold of Izuku tightly before they are sucked in as well, the hole closing with a small pop behind them leaving a shocked 1A and a bewildered and now wide awake Aizawa.
