Hi People! Thought i'd take some time out from the Potterverse to play around a bit with Bella and Jacob.

I had 2 weeks of catching a train to and from work and thought i'd write to distract myself from the monotony.

It was incredibly difficult as i was using the 'notes' feature in my phone without realising i could use word. So i mostly finished the story, but have to edit the chapters and the paragraphing etc.

Hopefully this is up to scratch. Its is an imprint fanfic based on Bella and Jacob. Fair bit of smut, fair bit of Bella not knowing what she wants.

Please enjoy.

Bella sat on the comfy sofa, watching as her best friend Jacob Black tinkered with the two wheeled death machines she had brought to him. It had been weeks since Edward left and in her absolute agony that his absence left behind, she had come to realise that a hint of danger would bring him right back.

Back in the sense that she would see him, hear his angelic voice, but only ever in her mind. That's what led her here, to Jake. To these bikes. "Bells can you pass me a soda?" he asked, pulling her from her thoughts. She smiled the smile that she was so used to plastering on her face. The one that made people believe she was sort of ok. It was fake of course. It was always fake. She couldn't put on a real smile even if she tried. She didn't think that things may change.

She and leant over to the mini fridge that held the cans and took one out, cracking it open and taking a sip. Jacob looked at her with a smirk as she stood and stepped over a pile of tools to hand it to him.

"Nice one" he said, reaching up to take it from her.

"I just wanted a sip" she said, aiming for the playful Bella she once knew.

Jacob lived for those moments, where he thought he saw flashes of the old Bella shining through the grief. He knew she was broken, he knew how much she was hurting, and he wanted nothing more than to be the one to heal her, to fix those broken pieces.

As he took the cold can from her, their fingers brushed slightly and a zap of static electricity connected them.

"Woah, uh, sorry" she said.

"Just static, it's OK" he said.

"Must be my wool jumper" she said, peeling off the thick layer she had been wearing.

It was difficult for Jacob to look away. He had always found Bella fascinatingly beautiful and sexy in the way that she was completely oblivious to her own exquisiteness. The white flesh on her abdomen was exposed as her shirt clung to her jumper and Jake almost took advantage of the moment to capture a glimpse of more. Shaking his head, he jumped up from his position on the floor.

"Hang on, your shirt is stuck" he said, carefully taking hold of the bottom of her shirt and pulling it down as she pulled off her jumper. The feeling wasn't missed by Bella. With her jumper concealing her shock, she gasped as warm fingers brushed against her cool untouched skin just above her jeans.

He was like fire. She finally got out of her woollen jumper and tossed it to the side, leaving her standing before Jake, with his grip still on the bottom of her shirt.

As she looked to his brown eyes, she knew that she could change everything with just one action. Jacob had a crush on her, and she supposed, in a way she took advantage of that, just so she could be around him. Just so she could not feel the agonising pain of Edwards absence that tore through her from the moment she opened her eyes every morning till she closed them again at night. Even then, her dreams were plagued by nightmares of that world.

Jake's eyes were captivating. She had always known she and him were destined for more, they had been since they were small children. Charlie and Billy always encouraged their friendship and it had always been easy for Bella to pursue. Just as it would be easy now for her to push their friendship towards the place that Jacob would embrace.

If she leant forward just a fraction (and stood on her toes because he had somehow grown a foot almost overnight) she could give him what she knew he wanted. If she could allow herself to put everything on the line and take a risk on her best friend, she knew she could be happy with Jacob, eventually. She knew that he could eventually drive away the pain and Jacob would be an amazing partner.

As she contemplated this, Jake let go of her shirt and steadied her with his hold on her hips before letting go and turning back to the last bike.

"I uh, think we'll be done soon. Just needs gas" he said. She blinked a few times and shook her head, bringing herself out of the moment. She quickly spun around to find her place on the couch and almost fell before catching herself.

"Yep, I'm good, I'm fine, see, I caught myself that time" she said, as Jacob moved to grab her.

"I'll load them up then?" he asked.

"You want to take them out now?" she asked.

"well, I suppose if I was smarter, I'd have drawn this whole process out a little longer, but they're ready, if you wanted to take them for a spin" he said.

Bella looked at the sad expression on his face. She wanted more than anything to spend time with him, as much as possible, and decided that they'd simply have to find alternative activities to keep them occupied.

"We'll just have to start a car next, or maybe a boat?" she suggested, smiling almost a genuine smile as Jake's expression changed. His smile was infectious.

"Come on, we'll go put some gas in these babies and give them a spin" he said, wheeling the now finished bike to her truck.

"Do you have ramps or something?" she asked, looking around. He just looked at her and grinned his special Jake grin and with very little effort, lifted the bike onto the back of her truck.

"Jake, that's impressive" she said as she walked to where he stood and placed her small hand on his bicep.

"You're like, completely buff" she said. He smiled at her and flexed his muscles briefly, causing Bella to widen her eyes in surprise.

"Just filling out. You know, growing teenage boy and all" he said.

"Yeah well, it's concerning. I have zero muscle tone" she said, bending her arm upwards and poking at her slim arm.

"I'm built different. That's all" he said, heading back into the garage and returning with the second bike.

The adventure on the bikes was eventful. Bella managed to get the bike going down the trail and everything she wanted from the experience, she got. She managed to see Edward again, which both calmed and agitated her. The brief glimpse of the God like creature was barely enough to satisfy her yearning for him, however, when she stacked and bumped her head, Jacob evidently called it quits, insisting on returning the bikes to the garage for another adventure another day.

"uh, Quill, Embry and me invited some kids from the res for a bonfire tonight if you're interested" he said as they loitered around Bella's truck.

"Like a party?" she asked.

"Sort of. I mean, a couple of the guys have been getting pulled away by Sam so we thought a get together would help to keep us united" he said.

"Sam Uley?" she asked, remembering the name as the one who had found her in the woods the night Edward had left.

"Yeah, it's almost as if he's forming a gang or something" Jake said.

"He looks to me like he's waiting for me, hanging out for something... I don't know" he said running his hand through his long hair.

"A bonfire sounds great. We'll come up with ways to keep that Sam away from you all for good" she said. "I'll bring some food" she added, getting into her truck.

"6?" he asked.

"I'll be here at 545" she said, as started the engine of her truck with a roar.

Bella returned to Jake's house, freshly showered with a tray of lasagne and a tray of salad in her hands. Walking and carrying two heavy trays seemed to be difficult for her, but she took it slow and made her way into the little red house where Jacob was pulling bottles of soda out of the fridge.

"Hey bells" he said, setting the bottles on the table and making his way over to her. He took her in his arms and spun her around, evidently happy to see her. The act made Bella's heart beat fast. She figured it was from the fear of falling, even though she knew that Jake would never allow it.

"Come on, we need to get the fire going" he said, pulling her by the hand to the back yard.

"Where's Billy?" she asked.

"He's doing a weekend fishing expedition with Harry. He'll be gone till Sunday" Jacob said.

"Right, so this is a party then?" she asked.

"Not officially" he answered with a grin. That grin.

Bella picked up a small piece of wood from a stack and carried it to where a bonfire looking structure now stood in the middle of Jake's yard.

"Here" she said, standing the wood in the centre of the tepee. Jake smiled and shook his head as Bella stood back, appreciating the masterpiece.

Very soon, the boys had arrived and the fire was raging. Quil brought over a bottle of homemade alcohol that he swore was mild, but by the time Bella had drunk half a glass, she was feeling tipsy.

She sat staring into the fire contemplating the last 6 months and thought about how odd she felt just being here, in this environment, acting like a teenager. She had faced so many challenges and upheavals in her life at such a young age and now, sitting here, all she wanted to do was enjoy being a teenager. As her thoughts carried on, Embry came and sat beside her, handing her a new drink, stacking the new cup inside of her now empty one.

"Thanks" she said, turning and greeting him with a smile that she actually felt.

"No problem" he replied.

"This is great, it's good to see Jake catching up with his friends" she said.

"Yeah, well, he has been a little preoccupied lately" Embry said.

"That's probably my fault" she said, scuffing her feet in the dirt.

"Don't worry about it, we see him enough" he said, brushing off what Bella thought was a serious issue.

Bella just stared into the fire trying to think of a way to make conversation but failing. She looked around and saw that the party had really taken off. There were loads of people there now, all gathering in groups and chatting with each other. Some of the girls who had come were hanging around Quil and Jacob, and she watched as one of them giggled in Jake's direction at something he said.

At this, she felt a pang of annoyance, which struck her as odd. She had no claim to Jacob, no right to feel annoyed or jealous when girls showed him attention. As she watched the interaction, she saw Jacob look over in her direction and smile. She gave a slight wave back and he mouthed 'you ok' to which she nodded. She was OK. It was good just being there, but in a way, she was lonely. Embry had since gone to join with a girl by the lips and Quil was the only other person she knew, and he was busy chatting with the girls as well.

She began to feel out of place more than ever before, being the only pale person and outsider in the yard. Her response to that was to drink more. She knew it could only lead to trouble, but the more she drank, the less she thought about Edward.

"Ok ok everyone listen up..." came the voice of a rather annoying teenage girl. She wore a short brown leather skirt and a low cut top that showed her ample cleavage. Her long dark hair was shiny and straight as it could be, and her brown skin glowed as though she were a model. Bella felt like she was nothing in comparison.

"... It's time for some party games" she went on.

She seemed to capture the attention of everyone, who had come and gathered by the fire, encapsulating Bella within their circle. She watched as Jacob made to come to her and the girl placed her hand on his bicep, stopping him in his tracks.

"Boys over there, girls over here" she said, turning him around and sending him to the opposite side of the circle.

"What's the game, Lex?" asked one of the girls.

"Well, Tracey, I'm so glad you asked. We will be playing spin the bottle" she said with a grin.

Bella cringed. Normal teenage activity now seemed like the last thing she wanted to do. She looked over to Jake who shrugged and mouthed 'sorry' to her before sitting between embry and Quil.

She looked at the selection of boys opposite her and figured she could do worse, so settled in for a night of awkward germ sharing.

"We'll go around the circle and each take a turn spinning. I'll go first" said the girl, whose name Bella now knew was Lexi, placing a bottle in front of her.

She spun it fast and as it slowed, it pointed at one of the boys Bella didn't recognise. He stood and walked to Lexi, taking her by the waist and kissing her enthusiastically.

"Ew, Josh, slobber!" she said, finally taking her seat. Two more girls went, one kissing Quil and the other kissing a boy named Tom before it was Bella's turn. She quickly downed the rest of her drink, eliciting a laugh from the group before spinning the bottle. She held her breath as it spun on the spot, pointing to different boys one at a time as it slowed.

She felt it before it stopped and the line between relief and panic was thin as it stopped on Jacob.

"That's rigged, surely" Embry said, as Jake stood.

"Did you want to have a crack did you Emb?" asked Josh.

"Well, of course it would land on Jake" he said as Jacob put his hand out to pull Bella to her feet. She was caught in a stunned silence as she stood before him.

"You don't have to do this" he said, sensing her hesitation.

"Yes you do" Quil said.

"Well, I mean, if you don't want to Bella, I can take your place" Lexi said.

"No, it's fine" she said, looking to Jake.

He had a hopeful gleam in his eye as he stepped closer to her. She allowed him to pull her right against him and closed her eyes as his lips brushed softly against hers. It was over before it really began and Jake stepped away, leaving her half expecting more.

"What do you call that?" someone asked. Bella had no idea who. Others were booing.

"Come on guys, she just broke up with someone. I don't need to be shoving my tongue down my best friends throat" Jake said as they both returned to their places.

Thankfully, the bottle didn't stop on Bella at all during the whole game, not that she noticed as she was busy thinking about how warm and soft Jake's lips were and how nice he felt just pressed up against her body. She watched him in the firelight, laughing and joking with his friends and somehow, she began to see him with new eyes.

His body wasn't that of a teenage boy, but one of a man. He as buff but didn't show it off like some of the others did. His long hair shone in the light of the fire in a way that Bella felt was unfair to women everywhere who used countless products to get theirs to come close.

After a game of never have I ever, which resulted in Bella getting substantially more drunk than she had been, the games came to an end and she quickly made her way over to Jake.

"That wasn't awkward or anything" Jake said.

"It was fine Jake" she said.

"So you're OK?" he asked.

"I'm having a good time" she said.

The rest of the night flew by with Bella getting to know each of Jake's friends. She already knew that Lexi wouldn't be someone she would ever care for, so she just avoided her. Before long, there was music and dancing and Bella found herself just relaxing and having fun. The fun, Bella knew, was purely the result of the alcohol, but regardless, she was, for the first time in months, truly enjoying herself.

As people started to disperse, Bella found herself in a conundrum. She was far too drunk to drive and Quil and Embry had taken over Jake's couch.

"Just sleep in my bed bells" Jacob said.

"I don't want to take your bed" she said.

"it's a big bed. We can share" he said.

"Share?" she asked, wondering what might happen if she were to have one of her night terrors.

"I'll keep my hands to myself" he said.

"I just... Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night" she said.

"Stop worrying about it, the guys are already asleep, no one will think anythings going on" he said as he pulled her into the house and down the hall.

She was grateful for Jake's tidy bedroom and happy to see that he did actually have a large bed. He handed her some pyjamas to put on and left the room while she changed. It was difficult getting her legs in the right holes when she wasn't steady on her feet and the room was spinning a little, but she managed.

Jake came back in the room, having changed into his boxers. Her mouth dropped open when she saw him and he pushed her on the bed with a laugh.

"You're incredibly good looking Jacob" she said.

"And you're quite sexy in my pyjamas. Now get into bed" he said, pulling the covers up over her.

Jake laid on his back and Bella automatically slid up against him, resting her head on his shoulder.

"This is nice" she said.

"I told you I'd keep my hands to myself" he said.

"Well, I didn't say I would" she said, running her hand over the ridges of his chest. Jake initially let her, but within moments, he had bent his knees up and placed a pillow on his lap.

"What's wrong?" she asked, oblivious to the reaction she had caused.

"Nothing, just... You affect me" he said awkwardly.

She leant up to look at him, confused for a moment. He looked down at his bulging erection and lifted the blanket, indicating to where the issue was clearly obvious to see.

"oh... Ohhh, I uh... Sorry Jake" she said, mortified.

"It's fine Bella. I'm lying in bed with my gorgeous best friend next to me and she's running her hands all over me. My. Body is obviously gonna react to that" he said.

"You think I'm gorgeous?" she asked, looking up at him through her lashes.

"Of course I do Bells, I always have" he said.

She was stunned for a moment wondering how someone as incredible as Jake could think of someone as broken as Bella any way other than damaged. She looked to his face and was captivated by his lips. They looked so soft and the memory of the too brief kiss hours ago was fresh in her mind.

She turned slightly and pressed her lips against his, once again feeling the soft warmth that seemed to emanate from that very place.

"Bells, you've been drinking" Jake said as the kiss came to an end.

"I know. I just... I wanted to do that again. Better" she said, still wanting more.

When he didn't say anything else, she captured his lips in hers once more. Driven by drunken desire, she deepened the kiss and tested the boundaries with her tongue. Jake allowed her to push forward and before long, they were kissing in a way that Bella hadn't ever kissed before.

It was new and exciting and as it continued, Bella's hand roamed freely around Jake's body. He seemed to keep his hands to himself, which she both appreciated and drove her mad. Part of her was aching for him to touch her. The feeling of longing was almost overwhelming for her. The need and the desire and the urge to keep going left her with an empty feeling deep down inside that she knew she needed to fill. She was throbbing between her thighs now and the sensation drove her hand further south.

Without removing her lips from his, she dove her hand towards his boxers and tentatively set free his raging erection. Her hand brushed against it and she felt it spasm, before taking it in her hand and massaging it gently. It was craving her as much as she was craving him.

"Bells.. " he said through clenched teeth.

"Please Jake. I need to feel good. Please make me feel good" she said.

"You... Are you sure?" he asked.

"I am. Please I need this" she said.

At her words, he moved above her and swiftly removed her pants.

"you're so perfect bells" he said as he supported his weight with one hand and guided himself towards her waiting core with the other.

She kissed him as he fumbled for her entrance, and she reached down to help. The pain was less than what she had expected, but she was also quite drunk so could feel nothing but relief from the empty throbbing she had been feeling deep inside of herself.

Jake was buried inside of her now and let out a low hiss of pleasure as she dug her nails into the skin of his back. When he adjusted to the feeling of her warmth surrounding every inch of him, he began to move. Jacob didn't know if this was her first time, but he suspected that it wasn't, just because she had been with her ex for so long, it was bound to have happened.

He wanted to be everything that she wanted, everything she needed. He didn't want her to sense his inexperience or be disappointed, so when he felt himself build too quickly, he slowed down.

"Please Jake" she whimpered, as the change in rhythm halted what was a building orgasm.

Bella didn't want Jake to think she was a sex crazed lunatic but at the same time, she was desperate for release. Edward hadn't even considered the idea of touching her, let alone give himself to her in this way, and she felt that her inexperience was obvious. She wondered if Jake had been with anybody before, as he was hitting all the right spots. Places she never knew existed.

Instead of resuming his pace, he stopped and looked into her eyes.

"Bella..." he began, desperate for her to know that she meant something to him. Sex was supposed to be an emotional thing for women, he thought, and although he tried to hold back on his feelings over the last few months with her, he wanted her to know now that she was everything to him.

"Jake, please, I'm so close" she whispered, putting a halt to any ideas he had about revealing to her how he was feeling at this moment; absolutely and completely in love with her.

He resumed his pace, kissing her as he did, earning her passionate kiss in return. He pressed his body flush against hers and felt her begin to pulsate around his shaft. He took this as a sign that she was almost there and didn't dare stop or slow down. As her body clamped around his, she let out a cry of pleasure and once he was certain she had gotten what she wanted, he allowed himself to come undone with a groan that he wasn't proud of.

The regret hit Bella like a freight train when she woke in the morning. She was dressed in her underwear and a shirt of Jake's, entangled in his limbs as he embraced her in his sleep. This Bella, the sober Bella, suspected the depths of Jake's feelings for her and realised with such significant regret what this would mean once he wakes.

She quietly slipped out of his bed and put on her jeans, collected her things and tip toed out the door. There were teenage boys asleep in the living room, but it appeared early so she made it out without waking anybody. She hesitated before starting her truck, hoping not to wake anybody and have to face any consequences, in the end deciding that she should just do it and leave as soon as she could.

The drive home was long and slow. She remembered the bonfire and kissing Jake. She remembered the alcohol burning her throat but making her forget everything that was weighing her down. She fought to remember her encounter with Jake and cringed as she recalled the way she had begged him for it.

She showered when she got home and headed straight for bed. It was early still, but Charlie had already gone to work when she crawled into her bed and pulled the covers up over her head and fell asleep.

Jake awoke with the sun streaming in his window. The clock read 11am, but there were no sounds coming from anywhere in the house. He allowed himself to recall the events of the night and smiled as he realised he had actually had a great time. He drank more than he ever had, and pieces of the night were blurry, but when he remembered having taken Bella to his bed, he sat up fast, too fast, at the memories that were now flooding back to him. The memories of her lips on his, of her hands on his body, her nails in his skin and the way she felt when he slowly eased himself inside of her.

The erection from the memory was raging and he quickly took care of it as he relived the experience. Once he cleaned up, he got out of bed and headed for the living room where he thought she'd be.

Quil, Embry and Josh were there, watching a movie but Bella was nowhere to be seen.

"Hey Jake" Quil said.

"Move over" Jake said as he playfully slapped Embry's legs off the couch.

"What a night, hey?" Josh said. Jake simply nodded.

"You guys were all passed out by 1. It was just me and Bella till about 230" Jake said.

"Where is Bella?" Quil asked.

"Probably gone home" Jake said in an offhand manner, looking out the window where her truck had been parked the day before.

"I thought you'd get more action from that one Jakey" Josh said, earning a glare from Jacob.

"What? She was wasted and you didn't even make a move" he said.

"Yeah cos I'm not a creep like you" Jake said.

"Me?" Josh asked.

"Yes you. Don't think anyone missed you and Lexi sneaking off into the Woods at about midnight" Embry said.

"She was gagging for it. Who was I to say no?" he said.

The guys relived their night, going over what happened, but Jake's mind was elsewhere. He wondered why Bella had left so early and not left a note or even sent a text.

"Jake?" came the voice of Quil.

"What?"

"You coming to the beach?"

"Nah I gotta get this place cleaned up. You guys go, I'll meet you later" he said.

"Not meeting Bella?" asked Embry with a hand on the doorknob.

"I might bring her if she's up for it. She's probably hung over" he said.

The guys just nodded as they left Jacobs house, leaving him alone with his thoughts.

COVID-19 SUCKS! Just saying. I don't have it, but it is ruining lives! My thoughts are with those who are affected.
