When You Smile

A Ladynoir One-shot

It started with a smile.

Chat Noir and Ladybug were sitting at the top of the Eiffel Tower, their feet dangling off the edge and the summer breeze making Ladybug's hair sway ever so slightly.

Chat Noir took subtle glances at Ladybug, which was easy to achieve since ladybug had her eyes closed and her head towards the city of Paris. She took a deep breath and sighed.

"What are you thinking about M'Lady?" he asked. She shifted in her spot "Nothing really," she stated, "but to be honest. I will miss you chaton."

He raised an eyebrow "Miss me, already getting tired of seeing my face everyday, huh?" grinning, he replied, "But if I must say so myself, I am not that bad looking." Ladybug flicked his bell and laughed "No! I'm just saying that because we won't see each other over the summer holidays."

Chat Noir smirked "So what? You think Hawkmoth will be on vacation and won't akumatize anyone?"

"Well no, but there could always be a possibility. Who's to say that if I won't be there, he won't either?" she explained, "Besides, Paris has you."

"M'Lady, we both know you're the only one who can purify the butterflies. And that's a big IF. Who's going to protect Paris when we're not there!" he exclaimed.

"We..?" she questioned.

Chat shifted uncomfortably in his spot and sighed "I won't be there either… I already planned things with my friends to go on vacation, we've also been planning this for a long time as well because I usually-" Ladybug cut him off with a cough. "Right. No revealing anything to give away our identity, sorry got it." he said, clearing his throat. Ladybug raised and eyebrow questioningly "So you thought I'd be staying here, because i am the only one who can purify the akuma," Chat smiled sheepishly, "that i would have no plans of my own," he nodded again, "and beside that, you have friends?" she listed. Chat nodded but stopped abruptly and whipped his head in her direction "Hey, what's that supposed to mean?!"

Ladybug faked clueless and asked "I don't know? Why don't you tell me?" grinning from ear to ear. Chat squinted his eyes and looked at her dead in the eye "Ugh whatever." Ladybug laughed again "I dunno, i just never thought anyone could cope with the amount of puns you'd be spilling at them." she answered teasingly "Please do introduce me to them. I'd like to meet these people."

"Excuse meow, but you have to cope with my pawsome puns and I don't see you compur-laning." he argued jokingly. "Besides, As you tell me all the time. I have an identity to protect, wouldn't really be the point to a secret identity if i were to walk around with cat ears and spew cat puns everywhere." he shrugged.

"I'm sorry I assumed otherwise." she apologized.

"No worries." Chat said moving his hand up and down, and suddenly jumped up into a standing position "Anyway! What are we going to do now that we both won't be in Paris? Any ideas?"

"I guess the only option we have is to give our miraculous to temporary holders."

Chat's eyes widened. "What! Are you out of your mind?! I know you always have the best ideas in that pretty head of yours, but today is not your best day."

"Chat… it might as well be the only option we have. You said it yourself, it is pretty big IF, if Hawkmoth will stay in Paris or not."

"I'm not giving Plagg up!" Chat blurted.

Ladybug was confused "Who?"

"My Kwami… he might be a pain in the ass sometimes, and really bugs me about cheese 24/7. But he's mostly the only company I have… I would miss him too much, even if it's for a little while, I'm not going to lie, I would miss his constant complaining about my obs-" Chat stopped.

"Your what?"

"Nothing. All good."

"Ok...then…" Ladybug nodded, "But seriously Chat, don't you think i won't miss Tikki as well? She's amazing, always giving me advice on what to do and always supporting me in everything. It will be a hard decision to make, but it's for the safety of Paris."

Chat mumbled quietly "Wow, seems like a better Kwami than mine." he then asked "But what if they don't decide to give them back?! What if they decide to keep them?!"

"That's why we'd give them to Master Fu-"

"I don't care! I am not giving up Plagg! Or my Miraculous!" Chat Noir folded his arms and scowled. Ladybug sighed "You are seriously a stubborn Kitten."

"But I'm your stubborn Kitten." he winked. Ladybug just rolled her eyes "Let's just hope that Hawkmoth did decide to go on vacation." After a little while Ladybug glanced into the horizon. "Nice sunset right?"

"Mmh?" Chat raised an eyebrow and then his face displayed with shock, "Oh furr paws! I need to pack! I am very sorry Bugaboo, but I must hurry." He then grabbed Ladybug's hand and lowered his lips to her hand. However this time instead of pulling away her hand like she always did, she let him kiss it and when he glanced up, what he saw made him explode.

He saw a smile. Nut it wasn't just any smile. This smile sent his heart soaring. Her eyes shined brighter than ever, her freckles were more visible that made her look cute but also beautiful and hot at the same time, and her lips formed the perfect curve upwards that made her look like any guy's dream girl. Of course he wouldn't let anyone take her away from him though.

He could feel the heat rush to his face. He was definitely blushing. And definitely as red as a tomato. "A-anyway… I-I need to og- i mean go! Yeah... um… have a good vacation!" he stuttered and then rushed into the city of Paris.

Ladybug just laughed "Silly kitty." and shook her head.

Thank you so much to those who have read my story! You guys have no idea how much this means to me! I am very new to this community so I didn't really have an idea for this One-shot but I hope it turned out ok. Please, please, please if you have any suggestion as to what I should write, than please tell me! I might not be able to full fill all of your suggestions because of the load of homework I am receiving from my teachers, but I will try! Also if you want me to continue this, I already have an idea to it and am thinking about it but just comment anyway!
