Disclaimer: I do not own the Warhammer franchise nor the Doom franchise, and you already know that…
Summary: This will be more of a clean plate on Doomguys universe, as the majority of the lore would be made new, just enough so that I could tell the story, as this is essentially a what if fanfic.
If you've read Biomass effect well I'm pretty sure you'll know where this story will end, maybe..
Prologue
Ever since the dawn of time, the very beings born in reality questioned their existence, their lives, their destinies, in their quest for answers a few were perverted by a sense of arrogant superiority, while some were driven to madness by the very questions they deemed answers to.
But in a very unlikely outcome others were not, they dreamt not only for their own future but for others as well, a future where the very word of worth was placed on the forefront, a few gave up on the ideal, banishing such thoughts as nothing but a fairytale.
But it was not the case for the people of sentinel prime, it started small as all civilizations tend to do, but unlike the many that took eons, the ideal boomed, kindled by the fires of hope they spread the word, their will unmatched even for the most advanced races that took hold.
Soon after they built cities of great stature, build bridges of friendship and loyalty among their very world, stood as one people not for the only purpose of survival, but the very word of hope, hope that they could see a brighter future, the hope of building a goal and gaining it, the hope of peace, happiness and prosperity.
But of course, like many civilizations, a challenge was set.
The demons, the very ilk of chaos and darkness seeped unto them, their unrelenting lust for power sweeping across the land like a plague unlike any other.
They fought for eons, and for every demon killed twenty more would rise, for every soldier slain a hundred more would fall, and for every battle won, a thousand voices cried.
Fate was cruel, it always was and always will be, but the people of this unique world would not be so easily broken, in their battles they stood, more driven and united than they ever were, the whole endeavor was bloody, brutal and filled with countless sacrifices.
And in the unbelievable act of their perseverance, they drove the very horde that haunted them back, finding sources of unimaginable power in return, though this profound discovery was a boon, they knew this not to be a time for celebration, for they were in a losing battle, and they needed allies, and they needed them fast.
The acts of their bravery were invaluable, plans were made, innovation unstoppable, soon the very energy the demons used to conquer worlds were now being used against them.
Setting their sights on the very dimensions these wretched creatures seek to conquer, they explored and with it the unfathomable happened.
Another one of their kin had been found, so similar yet so different in many ways, plans were rushed but were carefully laid out, in the end they achieved their goal, and this time revenge was sweet.
With everlasting vigor they fully drove the demons back, the people whom was found overjoyed by the very existence of another helped them rebuild, with some inviting them to their planet they dubbed earth.
Discovery
It had been years since then, the very event still lodged into the minds of the people of both worlds, a reminder of what will be achieved if they were united.
A drastic cultural shift had occurred in the years of rebuilding, and with it a spike of chaos had begun, as such organizations of varying ideologies, morals and governments had risen, some quelled for their fanatical reasoning or the lack of their usefulness in the society to be built.
One such organization was the UAC, its demise denied for their degrees in reasoning as well as their loyalty to the people, specialized in innovating technology, archaeological finds, as well as information keeping and gathering, the very events of the demonic invasion kept in logs so detailed that famous writers had gone sick just from reading it.
It was the very reason why the people built such an organization, a reason replayed day after day in society, and now here, one such individual belonging to it stood in front of the most ambitious and dangerous archaeological find in their history.
Samuel Hayden was not a man whom was fond to fear, no one was, and ever since he transferred his consciousness to his most applaud project, he had personally requested to have his neural links to fear be wiped.
But standing in front of the structure before him that reminded him of the great temples of the priests, he couldn't quite quell his fears, that and they were deep within hells domain in one of the most unguarded sectors no less.
"Sir we have a problem" A soldier called out, stopping just a few feet from him, his frame covered in a standard UAC designed suit.
"What is it.." Hayden asked genuinely concerned, problems were the very thing you needed to avoid in hell.
"The doors are too thick for our lasers sir, the engineers estimate that they'll need an hour or two to even cut a small hole.." The soldier answered, Hayden knowing the very answer to his question.
"Which we don't have.." He said with a tired sigh.
"Can we do something about it? Explosives perhaps"
"That would likely attract attention sir" The soldier replied sheepishly he knew Hayden was no fool, he hung his head hoping their leader wasn't in bad spirits.
Hayden caught this of course, he knew his robotic appearance scared his employees, added with a voice that was elevated and all, such was the life of a transferred individual.
"No need to be ashamed captain, we are here for the same goals after all" And it was true, he knew of the risks of becoming the CEO of the UAC, but he didn't despise it, no, he knew of the fate of their people should they fail, and it was not bright.
"Lex call your brother, I have a favor to ask of him" Hayden said walking towards the very doorway they were meant to breach, Lex not missing a beat sent a message to his younger brother before joining Hayden in their short walk.
Lex was always sheepish, ever since he'd known of the great scourge of the horde of demons on their lands, he had always been respectful, as such when he would be reporting in problems, such as this one, he would always berate himself that he could have done better.
But his brother, well that's another case in its entirety.
As they reached their destination in quite a small amount of time, specifically for Hayden, they stopped to marvel upon the very gate in front of them, it was tall and wide more so than most other digs, but unlike their other finds in hell, this one had runes written on the sides, runes that were very familiar.
If this is some joke a priest had in mind no one is laughing.
Hayden never held the priests in a positive light, yes their ability to be guided by the angels using visions were useful, but that only made him hate them, not due to their relation with the angels, but due to the fact that the people back in the invasion of hell weren't dependent on them.
It was out of pure perseverance and sheer will did they fight back so much even after losing almost half their population, and for that he was eternally grateful for the people of sentinel prime that they found them, Hayden wasn't a man whom dwelled in the past for long periods, but when he did he cringed at the very thought of his people fighting each other for the petty reason of power.
That and the few questionable cults that popped up.
"Sir" Turning around after hearing that announcement.
"Jacob.." He said to a man whom gave him a brief salute, just like his brother he was wearing a standard UAC suit, but his belt had been retrofitted for the use of shotgun shells instead of the usual assault rifle mags that many of the vanguard favored to use.
Jacob unlike his brother, was confident, so much so that it blurred between the line into arrogance, one of the many topics the brothers would have after a long mission or a bloody battle, of course he was disciplined enough not to be cocky.
But there was one thing that he and his brother would agree upon and that was the matters of one's belief, that every being should be respected in their beliefs, as long as it was morally just of course, they also had a dislike of the priests, although in Jacob's case he'd put them in the grey area, any being whom was willing to help them preserve life at all costs was fine by him.
Unless of course they betray the very oath they swore, in which he and his brother would gladly be the bringers of justice in such an act.
"What of it do you need me to do sir?" Jacob asked, in a more of the waiting for a command tone that the military of UNITY preferred and were trained to uphold.
"I want you to send a message back to one of the forts, since we're probably going to be found out no matter what kind of path we take in opening this damn door, I want to be prepared as much for an assault on our position" Hayden stated in a matter of fact tone, the two brothers nodded already knowing the heap of work they were about to do.
Already Lex was on his com, ordering the men and women that consisted of his regiment to take precautions, while Jacob was already planning on his trip back to the forts, his words already formed to convince the captains there to lend their aid.
As Jacob turned around and marched towards where they hid their speeders.
"Oh and Jacob" He stopped looking over his shoulder.
"Say hi to your father for me" Hayden finished, and Jacob responded with a nod, continuing to walk towards where the speeders where, his thoughts going to the memories of his family.
A few people knew of the mutual respect the UAC has towards the bulk of the military, especially with Hayden, his brother and him had been seeing him as more of an uncle after the closing of the few rifts that connected their worlds to hell, that and his father was most overjoyed of the very inventions that had been made by the UAC in its first steps in ensuring the safety of both their peoples.
That and other things meant to help in killing demons, and now here he was going to one of the forts rumored to have a cache of weapons so powerful that it made the night sentinels themselves nod in approval.
The very thought made him smile.
In the deepest caverns of hell, a shadow stood, below it a mountain of maimed corpses barely recognizable piled, the unholy screeching and roaring overwhelmed the very air, but the shadow did not falter, instead, it fought.
It knew not when the attack would stop, but there was one thing that was clear in its mind, it had demons to kill.
UNITY Codex
UNITY's Society – The majority of UNITY's culture is mixed, as of today its government is mostly a hierarchy of sorts, not to be confused with the medieval hierarchy, as it carefully consults and analyzes the problems, opinions, as well as the individual matters of its people in the various districts that comprise the large cities of UNITY.
The major parts of UNITY's culture would be marshal education, military recruitment as well as a voluntary right of passage, known to many as the climb, all in all UNITY's society revolves around the protection of its domain as well as other beings from threats, whether it be inside or from the unknown.
The economy unlike other aspects in their society, is almost nonexistent, as the government itself deemed it useless, for the most part their answer was to have a system in which frequent deliveries of goods to families and other essentials be based on their deeds, of course with everyone gunning for essential jobs that was not a problem.
UAC Exo-suits – The Exo-suits used by the bulk of the military of UNITY is mostly standardized, not only for fighting demons but can also be used in the deep vacuum of space, the Exo-suit itself is common in militias as well as civilians whom have sworn to use it only for self-defense.
The hard suit is mostly made of nano-fibers with various polymers combined to reinforce it as well as providing the user with comfort so they could perform their mission with ease, the installation of neural receptors and various electronics also help to increase the user's strength, mobility, and reaction time.
The plating used for these suits have limited information of its creation, some have speculated that the metal used came from the very bowls of hell itself while others speculate it to be gifted from the angels themselves.
UAC weapons – For most the usage of guns was strange to both the peoples of earth and sentinel prime, but when it was first introduced their effectiveness and horrific capabilities where capitalized upon, thus their fast deployment and usage to all the soldiers in the war against hell.
The innovations in the years of their first introduction made them bigger, deadlier and much more destructive, in the end they were standardized like the majority of the equipment used by UNITY's soldiers, variants defer and designs change time and time again.
As the demons come out more powerful than they were before, this culture of guns and other various weapons being made more deadlier than its predecessors continuous even to this day.
AU note: And there we go first ever chapter of this story, don't worry good ole Doomguy isn't gone, he just hasn't arrived yet well mostly he hasn't been found yet, I mean hell is a big place, and plus I've seen enough fanfics out their using the same plot.
Doomguy goes to another dimension and fucks shit up yatta yatta, I just want to try something new, whether you like it or not here's what I came up with.
Oh and also I'm not that informed of the lore of Warhammer, well mostly not all of it, the only thing I know are a few of the basics, so if I mess up on a few things which I will try not to then the blames on me, well that's all for now.
Normie out.
