"My name is Adalee Palmer. I was the leader of Galaxy Force, before my team died. I was on a mission to deliver information to one of my allies, but my X-wing was shot down and I crash landed on the planet Hoth. I was able to find a small cave and salvage what I could. I have little food and water, but nothing to really keep me warm."
I start a small fire in hope to get warm. While that is going I take a look at my body. I have a lot of scrapes and bruises, but my arm is the worse. I find that it's broken and I have to set it, otherwise it will heal like this. I grit my teeth and tug onto it. There is a snapping noise and I grunt in pain as the bone goes back into place. I grab some sticks, and cloth and make a "make-shift-cast" and splint it. After I get done I grab some water and down some ibuprofen.
As I am getting a bed set up near the fire so I can rest, I hear a noise near the cave. I stop what I am doing and look out at the mouth of the cave.
I stay quiet and grab my knife. I slowly creep up to the mouth of the cave and peek out.. What I see is a Wamp. My eyes go wide and I try to be as still as I can.
I slowly backed up, but my foot slips on a rock and I fall with a loud grunt. Just then I hear a loud noise. Like a roar and I open up my eyes and see the Wamp running at me. It reaches my and raises its arm to try and slash at me, but I was able to to roll to my right before it hit me.
The wamp struck the ground and it let out a mighty roar again and this time I knew it was pissed off. I get to my feet and grab my knife. "Ok tough guy. Come at me. I have nothing else to live for, so let's have it." I rush forward and strike at it.
I killed the Womp, but didn't have time to rest when 4 men with guns stormed into the cave. Taking a step back Adalee wasn't prepared for them and they swarmed around her. They grabbed her arms and tired them behind her back and pushed her to her knees. I winced and looked up at the man that looked to be the leader of the group.
"What do you want? Why are you here? I have nothing to give you. I was shot down and my space craft crashed landed on this planet. If you don't beleave me You can look out there and see the wreak yourself." I try to move away from them, but instead I got punched in the face. I gasp a little but try not to show any weakness.
The man that punched me just chuckled and then grabbed my face with his hand and held it still.
"Oh we are bounty hunters and we heard that this planet is rich with gold and we also heard there is treasure located on this planet." He let go of my face and then turned, but kept talking. "But you see there is one problem. The cave that the 'Treasure' is in, is surrounded by Womps and I rather not die and neither do my men there. So I am going to use you as bait. You lead them from the cave, and my men and I will go in and grab the treasure. Simple as that. You do this and I will let you live. That is IF you can survive the Womps."
I glare at him and I knew this was going to get me into trouble but I had to do it. "hahaha is that my deal? Die now, or help you and die later? Mmm that's a tough call, but you know what? I'll take die now." The bounty hunter spun around really fast, grabbed my shirt and pulled me towards him. "You think your funny don't you? I can and will kill you right now if that's what you want? But I Need you so I'll let you live. For Now." He let go of me, kicked me in the stomach and then walked over to the mouth of the cave.
"Do I at least get to know the name of my 'Boss' before I die?" I licked my lip and tasted blood. It didn't hurt as much as my arm nor my stomach and I am pretty sure I have some bruised ribs, but I help my gaze at him.
He turned and smirked. Well seeing as you might die I'll tell you. My name is Carter and those two men holding you are Tobias and Leeroy. " After he ordered his men to put me agenst the wall. They then walk over to there leader and started to whisper. After a few minutes The leader left and the other two stayed there, but there backs were to me. I smiled a little. These idiots didn't even search me for weapons. I quietly moved my good hand to my back pocket and grabbed my laser gun. I moved a little and was able to use it to cut the ropes. I slowly stand up, creeped over to them and with a smile I tap one on the shoulder.
"Why. Hello there" The look on there faces is priceless. I back up and used what energy I could and punched one in the face, breaking his nose and knocking him out. I turned to the other guy. I had to back up. This guy had a gun and I knew that I was fucked. Tobias pointed it at me and fired. I was able to dodge out of the way before I was hit by a laser beam. I grabbed my weapon and fired at him, hitting him in the leg. He fell to the ground with a loud cry. Now was my chance. I ran out of the cave and into the cold and snow driven planet. With the adrenalin pumping through my body I didn't notice Carter until I heard him yell.
"Get back here you fucking bitch!" Without stopping I flipped him off and kept running. But that was a bad idea. I hear a noise go off and felt a really sharp pain in my side that sent me to my knees. I cry out in pain, but I keep going. I looked behind me and see that he wasn't following me and I let out a sigh. As I kept on moving I grew tired. My body was losing blood and I was starting to get really cold, but I kept moving. Soon I found myself at a building that looked old and run down*
"Well at least I can die somewhere that is warm." I make my way slowly towards the building. Finding a door I push it open, get inside and close it. Looking around I find that it was barren and looked like it could fall down at any minute. I took a step forward, but the pain and the cold gets to be too much for my body and I fall to my knees. Too weak to try and move, I let out a wish for help, close my eyes and fall asleep
Pain. That's the first thing I feel when I start to wake up. Next was the fact that I was shacking. I was so cold. Opening my eyes I take a look around and then the memories start to flood back. The crash, The Womp, being captured by those bounty hunter, being shot.. With a grunt I slowly sit up. I let out a gasp and stop moving. My hand goes to my side. I can feel dried blood on my cloths. Looking down at the floor, I can see it covered in blood. Closing my eyes and letting out out a breath I focus on getting up.
"Ok Adalee. You can do this. You need to get up and try to find a med room. There will be supplies there and then you can just fix up your wound and then you need to get off of this god forsaken planet and return home." I try again and with shaky legs I get to my feet. I straighten out as best as I can and slowly start to move.
"What is this place? It looks like no one has been here for years." I look around as I move through the halls. I suddenly stop. I see a control panel. My body floods with hope. I go over to it and sit down in one of the chairs. Looking it over, I find what I need and turn it on. Nothing happened.
"Fuck... Its out of power.. Where is a droid when you need one.. Maybe I can find a fuse box. I just need to put out a signal of my location." I look around and then smiled. My eye's find what I am looking for and I slowly stand. Walking over to the box I look it over. It appears to be rusty and out of date. I bring my hands to towards the box and i'm about to open it when I hear a loud noise. I Spin around and let out a gasp. I forgot about my side. I stay quiet and listen. Hearing the voices of 3 men. My eyes go wide as I hear what they are saying.
"You two are stupid! How could you let her just get away? AND without checking to see if she had any weapons? I swear to the stars that if you don't find her I WILL use you two as bate! Now go!" Carter said in a very angry tone. The other two just mumbled a 'Yes Sir' and walked off.
I start to panic a little. I don't want to die. Not here, Not like this... I can't fight with a broken arm and a hole in my side.. I'm weak from all of the blood lose... I'm so screwed..
*I had to think of something. No one was coming for me. I was alone and I need to figure something out. Looking around I noticed a door. I smile a little and slowly more towards it. Without making a sound I open it and look inside. I looks to be a storage compartment. I squeeze myself into it and closed the door just in time. The second I closed the door, Tobias walked in. My heart stops for a what feels like hours. I hold my breath as best I could and wait for him to leave. I let out a gasp. As I drew in air, My body didn't like that, but I ignored the pain. I really need to call for help. I don't think I can take them on, on my own. Not in the condition I was in.
After a while I didn't hear anything, so making a choice I slowly made my way out of the closet. I look around the room and see no one there. I smile to myself and slowly make my way out of the control room. I turn left. Slowly I walk towards a door at the end of the hallway that says Weapons Room. I walk very slowly and as quiet as I can. I reach the end of the hall and I stare at the door for a second. Moving my hand to the handle I turn it and the door opens. Just as I am about to walk in I hear a voice behind me. It' was Carter. My eyes widen and my heart starts to beat faster.
"You bitch! I am going to kill you! You really think you could have gotten away from me? You might have if the blood trail that you left in the snow. Now be a good girl and come with me. I want my treasure and you will help me get it."
I turn towards him with a smirk on my face. "You see that's the problem. I rather not. I would never help you." I flip him off turn and open the door and run inside. Before I close the metal door I hear a gun go off. Pain rippled through my body. I close and lock the door, lean against it and slowly sink to the ground. The wound on my side starts to bleed again, but the pain is coming from my leg. I look down at it and groan. The wound looked like a Gundark bit me. I close my eyes for a second to think. Should I even bother wrapping it up? I mean it looks like I'm going to dies anyway so why bother. I should just open this door and let Carter and his men kill me. Just as I thought that, the banging on the door started. I move away from the door and slowly scoot into a small corner of the room. The banging continued. I then hear him yell through the door.
"You worthless bitch. When I get this door open I am going to beat the living shit out of you and I will Kill you! That is if the Wamps don't first." He stops yelling and hits the door one more time and then there's nothing but silence.
I hold my breath. I wait, I listen for any noise. Minutes pass by and I don't hear anything else. Making a choice, I grip the wall and slowly stand up. My side flairs in pain, but I ignore it. Once I get to my feet I take in a deep breath and take a step forward. Instant pain shoots through my leg and I crash against the wall with a cry. Sliding down the wall I find myself breathing through the pain. My body starts to shake.
"Well at least I lived a decent life. Never thought I would die alone.. I might as well unlock the door and let them in. I can at least die knowing I lived this long. I should have known that no one was coming to save me. I mean I lost everyone else after they found out who my father was... "
I was about to get up, but I suddenly became very tired and dizzy. I closed my eyes, relaxed as best I could and fall asleep. Before passing out, I hear Carter and his men talking on the other side of the door. Talking about blasting the door open, but I was too tired to care anymore.. Everything turns black and I fall asleep.
