Yuya ran down the streets. Despite the sunny shining in his tired eyes, he looked just as alert as any other day. "Zuzu!" The red and green hair boy called, the girl with with twin tails' nickname, who he caught sight of dashing out of an ally.
"Yuya?" His friend replied as he sprinted towards her. "So, over slept again?"
"Yeah, sorry." He said, hoping his friend would go easy. With two adopted parents and an older brother who are out a lot, the eldest brother who is out all night and sleeps all day, and only a dog who is your alarm clock because you failed to wake up form, there's going to be some mistakes like this. Right?
Yuzu let out a sigh. "Well, I hope you're ready for the practice Turbo Duel you have today."
"Sure thing, only..." He reassured, but paused for a second. "I don't have a Synchro card." This time it was his turn to sigh, but he also hung his head in defeat.
"You have all the cards for a Synchro summon, but you don't have a Synchro card?"
"Yuri and Yuto won't let me have any." Yuya sigh again. It doesn't help that eldest was so stubborn and the middle brother would just get dirt on him seeing how well he got some gossiping girls and busted some jerk lover when he was the Fusion School's Junior High News Club.
"What about your parents, can't they help?"
"No." He replied that made him want to sunk his head lower. "Mom doesn't want them to worry."
"Well, you better do something or we won't be able to win the Turbo Friendship cup."
He knew. If he doesn't find a way to solve this problem soon then the You Show's Pendulum School would close down for good. His pink hair friend wasn't helping anything.
"Hey, is that Sora?" Yuzu question looking in the distanced with a shock expression.
"Huh?" Yuya looked to where Yuzu was looking at to see the blue hair kid walking down the street. "Hey Sora." The red-eyed duelist called out, while he and Yuzu ran towards him.
"Huh? Oh, hey guys." Their friend greeted with a smile, holding a lollipop in his hands.
"Shouldn't you be at school?" The blue-eyed girl questioned him.
"Well, yeah, but I was just getting some info on the Synchro school. Since they are our biggest obstacles."
"They seem to be amping up their game, huh?" Yaya asked in a slight perplexed tone.
Sora replied. "Looks that way."
"Wow, guess we better get better too?" Yuzu commented before all of the sudden she peered at her watch. "Ah!"
"What is it?" Yuya asked.
"We're running late!"
"Ah."
"Say, I know of a way to get there quick." Sora spoke up.
"Hold on, you do?" The pink hair girl questioned.
"Yeah. Follow me?"
The taller kids looked at each other before following their friend.
They soon made their way to a heavily wooded area.
"Wait, you're going into there?" Yuzu asked in a worried tone as she watched the smaller male stroll along.
"Yeah, I hear going through this part of the Dueling Forest forest should get us to school in no time."
"What's wrong Zuzu?" Yuya "You seem scared of this place?"
"It just that I heard bad things happen in there." Yuzu stated with hint of a nervous tone.
"You guys coming or what?" Sora called out from a distance.
The kids soon dashed over towards the kid with a lollipop and followed him inside.
After strolling for a bit, Yuya stopped when a flash caught his attention. Turning his head, he spotted something underneath a bush. Curious, he walked over, looked, and picked up what look to be a duel monster card.
His eyes soon widen, while reading the card.
"Ah." The Christmas themed hair lad heard.
It sounded like "Yuzu?"
He out put the card in with his other cards and went to his friend. There, he saw Sora with Yuzu, looking up at something. He did the same and saw they were at the bottom of a cliff on a mountain side. He could see what appeared to be guard rails to a road, busted and torn like a tape at a track meet.
"What on earth happen here?" Yuzu said sounding.
"Oh great, we've stumbled on a crime scene." Yuya commented sounding a bit nervous. At that moment, he hoped that who or whomever was behind this wasn't going to kill them for just stumbling on the scene nor Yuto wasn't going leave him in some jail cell.
"I wouldn't worry." Sora added, which made the taller kids give off some bemused faces. "It looks like this happen years ago. Now, let's say we get out of here."
"Ah? Right." Yuya said as he and Yuzu followed their friend.
