"Excuse me."

Eli Navarro, known mostly as Weevil, looked up from his bike to see a girl standing just at the edge of his driveway. She looked to be somewhere around his age, and looks-wise she stood out in this neighborhood with her dirty blonde hair and a paler complexion. She was holding her books awkwardly and shuffling uncomfortably foot to foot as she looked at him. Or at least in his general direction.
"Can I help you?"

"Your motorcycle, is it yours? Ah, of course, it is; um, could you please keep it down a little? Not now, obviously, but uh, later at night? Thanks." She kind of mumbled her words as she rushed her questions out before turning and quickly walking away, losing no time as she disappeared into the house next door. 'Those must be one of the new neighbors' grandma talked about. Weird kid.' Weevil concluded before turning back to work on his motorcycle, not giving her another thought.

The sound of the motorcycles was like thunder as they rounded the corner and pulled neatly into the drive of the Navarro household. The rumble turned to boisterous rabble as the bikes quieted for the night but the motorists were just beginning on the warm fall Friday.

"Hey Weevil looks like you have a new neighbor." Felix called out before catcalling towards the house next door. Weevil looked over and noticed the face of the girl from earlier disappear in the front window as the curtains fell shut. Weevil punched Felix in the arm before pushing him towards his house.

"Hey man, cut it out. Look you scared her." Weevil joked and started heading towards his abode. Something about Felix catcalling her gave Weevil a strange feeling which he tried to shake off as he and his boys started their festivities of the night. He wasn't sure what it was, but something about her made him want his crew to leave her alone.
