[Part One, Chapter One: Origin]
[The First incident happened in Ching Chang City. On that day, and extraordinary child was born into the world...What made this child extraordinary was that he could radiate light from his body. Ever since that day, numerous reports of people with super powers popped up across the globe. No one knew what was causing these Quirks, but it didn't long before the supernatural became the totally normal, dreams a reality. The world became a superhuman society with about eighty percent of the population possessing some uncanny abilities. Our streets look like scenes from comic books, a city swirled with chaos and confusion, a new profession dominated our collective consciousness...It was an age of Heroes. While governments were stuck trying to figure out how to reform laws with Quirks in mind, courageous people started performing heroic acts to keep our city safe, protecting us against villains who abuse their powers for evil. With overwhelming, public support Heroes found an official place as peacekeepers overseen by the government. Those who performed the best got paid the most and got all the fame and glory. Their careers depended on their abilities to stay in the Spotlight]
[At Aldera Junior High, inside a classroom]
"Alright students, since you're all third years, it's time for you think seriously about your future" the teacher said before continuing "I'll pass out handouts for your future plans now, but..."
The teacher grabs the papers and throws them into the air
"You're all planning to go into the hero course" The teacher exclaimed
In that moment, all of the students with the exception of three students cheer and shout
"Yes-Yes, you all have wonderful Quirks, but you know that using your Quirk at school is against the rules" the teacher said calming the students down
"Hey teach!" said an ash-blonde haired boy
"What is it, Bakugou?" the teacher asked
"Don't go around lumping me with these losers" Bakugou smirked before continuing "I'm not gonna be stuck at the bottom with the rest of these rejects"
That comment caused the class to erupt in anger, flowing with numerous shouts and complaints
"Let's go, I'll take you all on" Bakugou taunted
"You've got some impressive test results, maybe you will get into U.A High" the teacher said
"He's gonna try for the national school"
"That school has a point two reception rate"
"It's impossible"
"That's exactly why it's the only place worthy of me" Bakugou said happily as he jumps on his desk before continuing "I aced the mock test, I'm the only one at this school who could possibly get into U.A, I'll definitely surpass All-Might and become the top hero!...My name will be inscribed on the list of top earners and-"
"Midoriya, you wanted to go to U.A as well, correct?" the teacher asked completely ignoring Bakugou's speech
"Oh geez" said Midoriya Izuku as he lowered his head fearing what was going to happen next
It was quiet for a few seconds until the class erupted in obnoxious laughter
"Midoriya...No way!"
"You can't get into the hero course just by studying"
"Th-They got rid of that rule!" Midoriya exclaimed nervously before continuing "For all we know, I could be the first person"
"YOU DAMN NERD!" Bakugou roars
Bakugou delivers an explosive attack that knocks Midoriya off his seat
"Listen up, you worthless reject" Bakugou said coldly before continuing "You're below the rejects, especially since you're Quirkless...You really think they'll let the likes of you enter, when they could have an awesome badass like me?"
"You got it all wrong, I'm not trying to go against you" Midoriya said
The green-haired boy slowly back away, but hit a wall in the process
"It's just that I wanted to be a Hero ever since I was a little kid..." Midoriya said sadly before continuing "I may not have an awesome Quirk like you, but I can still try my hardest, right?"
"You'd never be able to hang with the rest of us, you'd die in the exams!" Bakugou said before continuing "Defenseless Izuku...This damn school's already crappy enough, you really wanna embarrass it more by failing so hard?"
"Calm down, Katsuki" the teacher said before continuing "Stop messing with poor Midoriya and get back to your seat"
"Tch, stupid Deku" the ash-blonde boy scowled as he goes back to his seat
The teacher continued to go through the applications until he saw a special paper
"Well this is a surprise, you don't strike me as someone who wants to go to U.A, Chikaru" the teacher said
At that point, all of the students their heads to the student that the teacher was talking about. This student in particular has jet-black hair with blood-red streaks, a caramel-brown skin complexion, dark-brown eyes, and diamond ear piercings. As of right now, said student was currently listening to music with his headphones while playing a game on his 3DS
"Take that, Bowser" the student grinned showing his braces in the process
"Oh come on, Chikaru" the teacher groaned in annoyance before continuing "What did I tell you about playing games in my class?"
Using his Quirk, the teacher extends his hand and grabs the 3DS from the student's hands
"Hey, don't take what ain't your-oh it's you" the student said as he takes off his headphones
This student right here is Chikaru Siwaka. Chikaru is a fifteen year-old boy with African American blood and Japanese blood running through his veins, and is a good friend of Izuku Midoriya
"So what's up teach?" Chikaru asked
"It says on your paper that you want to go to U.A" the teacher explained before continuing "Is that true?"
"Yeah I guess" Chikaru shrugged
Chikaru's response made a few students laugh hysterically which made Chikaru roll his eyes
"You actually think they'll let you into U.A?" asked a girl before continuing "Your Quirkless ass won't make it past the exams"
"Put a damn sock in it, Mai, you're acting as if you're gonna fair better" Chikaru retorted before continuing "Last time I checked, summoning HARMLESS bubbles isn't really a cool Quirk to have"
"Up yours, Siwaka" said the brown haired girl with a growl
"Case in point" Chikaru said with a smirk
"Chikaru...If you want to get into U.A High, you need to take your education seriously" the teacher said before continuing "You won't make it as a hero if you don't give everything a hundred percent"
"I see what you're getting at...Sort of" Chikaru said
RING!
RING!
RING!
"There goes the bell" the teacher said before continuing "I'll see you all tomorrow, have a good day"
[In Musutafu]
"AAAHHH!" screamed a black-haired woman
The woman was safe inside a force field, while a green sludge monster quickly passed by
"Hey, come back here, thief!"
"Somebody stop that guy!"
"No one can stop the great Odei" roared the sludge monster from a distance
"Dude, where are the H eroes?"
"They should've been here by now"
"Maybe they're still busy from what happened this morning"
"*Sighs* I remember a time where we didn't have to deal with weirdos that have crazy Quirks"
"I guess there's no stopping him"
"That's not true" said a very muscular man with blonde hair
Each of the civilians turn their heads before gasping in awe and amazement
"I-I-It's h-him..."
"You want to know why?...Because I AM HERE!" the muscular man shouted with great pride
"ALL-MIGHT!"
"HA!-HA!-HA!" the muscular man laughed heartily
The man these civilians see before them is Toshinori Yanagi, best known as All-Might...The Number One Hero of Musutafu City. This great Hero has fought in many battles and saved the day countless times, it's no surprise that he's the best Hero around
[Intermission plays]
"Heh-Heh" Chikaru chuckled as his body was surrounded by blue lightning
The black-haired teen faces forward and delivers a powerful punch to the screen. In that moment, the screen shatters on impact revealing the title
"My Hero Academia: Chikaru's Road to Pro Hero" Chikaru said with his arms crossed
[Intermission ends]
[Back at Aldera Junior High]
"The incident from this morning is all over the headlines" Midoriya said as he was going through his phone
"You know how people are when it comes down to Heroes and Villains" Chikaru commented while reading a comic book
Just then, Chikaru's stomach begins to rumble
"Oh boy, those rice balls ain't liking their new home" Chikaru groaned
"Are you alright?" Midoriya asked worryingly
"No...No I am not" Chikaru replied
The black and red-haired boy quickly gets up from his seat and heads to the door
"I'llbeinthebathroomifyouneedme" Chikaru mumbled as he takes off
"Poor guy" Midoriya said
"Well-Well, look who stayed behind"
The green-haired boy looks up and sees Bakugou with his two friends
"H-Hey Kacchan" Midoriya said nervously
"Tch" Bakugou scoffed as he grabbed Midoriya's journal
"Give that back!" Midoriya cried out
"I don't know what you think you're doing, but we're not done yet" Bakugou said
"What's that ya got there, his diary" Friend #1 snickered
"It's simple really..." Midoriya said
"This dork is actually taking notes on how to be a hero" Friend #2 laughed before continuing "That's so fucking pathetic"
"He still thinks he can become successful without the use of powers" Friend #1 said while trying to hold back his laughter
"Can I get my journal back now?" Midoriya asked before continuing "I have some important information written in there"
Right then and there, Bakugou does the unexpected and burns the notebook with his explosive Quirk
"That's so mean..." Midoriya said
The ash-blonde bully throws the book out the window causing Midoriya to scream
"Most first-string Heroes show potential early on...People look at them and just know that they're destined for greatness" Bakugou said before continuing "When I'm the only student from this garbage-ass school to get into U.A High, people will start talking about ME like that; they'll realize that I'm the shit and see that I'm the next big thing...That's not my ego talking, I just know that I'm good"
"That's pretty much the same thing dude..." Friend #1 said
Bakugou soon puts his hand on Midoriya's shoulder in which smoke began to appear
"Just a word of advice for you, Deku" Bakugou smirked before continuing "Don't you dare think of applying...Or else"
"You should listen to Bakugou" Friend #1 said
"He's doin' you a huge favor" Friend #2 said
"Y'know...If you REALLY want to become a Hero, there might be another way" Bakugou said
"And what would that be?" Midoriya asked hesitantly
"Just pray that whatever God you believe in that you'll be born with a Quirk in your next life...Then take a swan dive off the roof of the building" Bakugou said callously
"That's a little dark man" Friend #2 said
"Seriously" Friend #1 nodded in agreement
"W-Why you..." Midoriya said in slightly bold tone
"Is there somethin' you wanna say, nerd?" Bakugou asked as he gave Midoriya a menacing look
"Nothing...Nothing at all" Midoriya replied
[Later that day, outside the school building]
"That jerk" Midoriya said in an annoyed tone before continuing "You can't go around telling people to kill themselves, it's just not right"
"Screw that dude, he doesn't know what he's talking about" Chikaru said before continuing "He's just trying to spite you"
"I just wish I could give him a taste of his own medicine" Midoriya grumbled
"There'll be a day where the guy gets his comeuppance" Chikaru said before continuing "What goes around comes around as they say"
"..."
"Take heed, my brother" Chikaru said before continuing "Just because someone told you that you can't become a Hero, doesn't mean that you have to take their word for it"
"I guess you're right" Midoriya said before continuing "But what if I jumped, what would he have done then?"
"Knowing him, he probably would've smiled and laughed his ass off" Chikaru said before continuing "He seems like the type of guy to do something like that"
Al of the sudden, Midoriya stops walking which causes Chikaru to do the same
"What's up?" Chikaru asked
"My dreams have been turned into fish food" Midoriya said sadly
Midoriya's notebook was currently being chewed up by a gang of Koi Fish
"That's enough, give it back" Midoriya said as he snatches the burnt journal out of the fishes grasp
"Damn, that thing is all kinds of messed up" Chikaru said
"Hopefully, the words are still understandable" Midoriya said
[Later, in the city]
"No new text or missed calls" Chikaru groaned before continuing "Was my phone off or something?"
In that moment, a manhole cover burst open and the sludge monster from before emerges
"What the hell is that!?" Chikaru asked in shock as he points to the creature
"I think it's a villain!" said Midoriya who was also in shock
"You've got to be freaking me!" Chikaru shouts before continuing "We need to get the hell out here before that monster does god-knows-what to us!"
"This is seriously awesome" the sludge monster grinned evilly before continuing "I got not one, but TWO skin suits"
"Let's go!" Chikaru cried out
The two boys took off as fast as they could, but unfortunately, they were captured by the creature
"Stupid kids, you can't run away from me" the sludge monster said
"You bastard!" Chikaru growled as he tries to escape
"Don't worry, I'm just going to take over your body" the sludge monster said before continuing "If you're on your best behavior, I'll release your buddy as a sign of thanks"
"I can't breathe" Midoriya said mentally as his mouth was currently covered by sludge
"Dammit...I need to get out of here" Chikaru said
Chikaru and Midoriya tried to pry their way out, but it was useless as their hands went through the thick liquid
"Grab all you want, my body is made out of liquid" the sludge monster exclaimed cockily
"Maybe I can call for help" Chikaru said mentally as he tries to reach for his phone
"I want to thank the both of you for your generous act, you guys are real Heroes to me" the sludge monster said before continuing "I had know idea All-Might was in town, I need to leave this damn city before that fucker catches me"
"My body...It's getting weak" Midoriya said mentally before continuing "Is this the end?...Is this how I die?"
"HA!-HA!-HA!" the sludge monster laughed haughtily before speaking once more "This is the end for you kiddos"
"That's what you think villain!"
"No...Not him...Anyone but him" the sludge monster said nervously
In that moment, the sludge monster turns around and sees All-Might standing before him
"Have no fear, young ones" All-Might said before continuing "You're safe now that I am here"
In a fit of rage, the sludge monster goes in to attack All-Might, but the muscular Hero dodges his attack. The Pro Hero proceeds to dash at the villain which makes the villain to attack once again. The sludge monster thought he was finally going to take out the number one Hero, but All-Might shuts down that thought
"TEXAS...SMASH!" All-Might roared
The Number One Hero clenches his fist and delivers a very powerful punch that causes a huge gust of wind to go by
"I-I can't...Hold it...T-Together" the sludge monster said in pain
The monster bursts into many pieces releasing Chikaru and Midoriya
THUD!
THUD!
"Damn" Chikaru groaned before continuing "What was that just now?"
"Is that...All-Might?" Midoriya asked before passing out
[A few minutes later]
"Hey, wake up" All-Might said while rapidly slapping Midoriya's face lightly
"Ugh..." Midoriya groaned as he slowly awakens
The green-haired boy rubs his eyes before seeing his idol stand before him
"OH MY GOD!" Midoriya cried out in amazement
"It's All-Might in the flesh" Chikaru said mentally before continuing "What business does he have in the city of Musutafu?"
"I'm glad you're okay, young ones" All-Might said before continuing "Sorry 'bout getting you caught up in my villain fighting, I don't usually make mistakes like this, but I was in high spirits on my day off in a new place"
"This must be a dream" Midoriya said to himself before continuing "All-Might is taking to me...ME!"
"I appreciate your help" All-Might said before continuing "Thanks to you, I was able to capture this sludge monster"
All-Might holds up two empty soda bottles containing the sludge monster
"The most amazing Hero in the world is right in front of me" Midoriya said mentally before continuing "This has to be a dream"
"Man...This is one weird-ass day" Chikaru sighed
"Oh man, where is my book?" Midoriya asked himself as he looked around frantically before continuing "There's no way I could pass up an opportunity like this"
The young man soon finds his journal and opens it up to see that All-Might had already signed it
"HE SIGNED HIS AUTOGRAPH!" Midoriya cried out in shock and amazement
"Number One Hero, ladies and gentleman" Chikaru joked
"Th-Thank you very much" Midoriya said as he bowed furiously before continung "It'll be a heirloom, a family treasure"
"Okay" All-Might said with his thumb up before continuing "Well, I need to take this evil-doer to the police...See you again on the other side of the screen"
"Already?" Midoriya asked
"Pro Heroes are constantly fighting13eftr enemies and time" All-Might said
"There are things I still want to ask him" Midoriya said quiety
"Well then..." All-Might said
The Pro Hero squats down before jumping at an astonishing height
"I'm counting on your continued support!" All-Might shouts before laughing
"That was pretty cool" Chikaru said with before continuing "We actually got to meet the Number One Hero in person, isn't that dope Izu...ku?"
Midoriya was nowhere to be found, Chikaru looks around for his friend, until he puts his thoughts together
"Yep...Had a feeling that was going to happen" Chikaru said as he sighed in annoyance
[In the sky]
"Now to put this guy in jail" All-Might said
Just then, the muscular blonde notices Midoriya on his leg clinging for dear life
"Hey! what do you think you're doing, kid!?" All-Might asked in surprise before continuing "I love my fans and all, but this is way too much, do me a favor and let go please"
"I can't do that, If I let go I'll die!" Midoriya shouted
"Oh...That's a good point" All-Might said
"It's just that I have a lot of questions I want to ask you personally" Midoriya said before continuing "You're my all time favorite Hero"
"Okay-Okay, I get it" All-Might said with a sigh before coughing up blood
[Back with Chikaru]
"Ms. Inko would kill me if she found out what happened" Chikaru said to himself before continuing "Maybe I could-"
"Chikaru Siwaka"
The black and red-haired boy stops walking and turns around to see three students
"Is there something you guys require?" Chikaru asked
"Word has it that you gave my boys a brutal beat down a couple days ago" Student #1 answered before continuing "Is that rumor true?"
"I'm not gonna lie to you and say I DIDN'T do it" Chikaru said
At that point, Student #1 storms over to Chikaru and grabs him by the shirt
"Who the hell do you think you are taking down my people!?" Student #1 asked angrily
"If I'm being honest here, your quote-on-quote boys had it coming" Chikaru admitted before continuing "They were about to break a student's arm just because he forgot to pay them on time"
"Well you just made the biggest mistake of your life, Siwaka" Student #1 growled
"Is that right?" Chikaru asked, not phased by the student's tone
"I'm going to do to you what you did to them" Student #1 said as he raises his fist
"You won't like the end result" Chikaru said
[On a rooftop, with All-Might and Chikaru]
"My whole life just flashed before my eyes..." Midoriya said weakly
"Not a very smart idea" All-Might said before continuing "Bang on the door for a while, someone will let you down"
"Wait what?" Midoriya asked in confusion
"Now I have to go" All-Might said before continuing "I'll catch you on the flipside, young one"
"Please give me a chance" Midoriya pleaded before continuing "There's so much I want to ask you"
"I don't have anytime to talk" All-Might said
"I have to know..." Midoriya said
The green-haired boy looked at his hand as all the memories of people putting him down came flooding back
"Sometimes I do feel like a failure, like there's no hope for me...But even so, I won't give up no matter the cost" Midoriya said mentally before speaking out loud "All-Might...Is it possible for a Quirkless person like me to become a Hero...Could I ever hope to be like you when I get older?"
The Number One Hero doesn't give Midoriya an answer just, instead, he slowly turns his head...What did have in store for the young boy?
