12.) Betrayal.
I too have been roped into NirCele's 100 drabble challenge. I'm doing mine in my chainlink A universe. I do thank Gre3nleaf for sending me the prompts.

'Dari, you promised.' Moaned Landion from his perch in the battlements.
'I know, Landion, I tried, but if the teacher gives you homework you have to do it. Don't you get homework too?'
'Yes. But not today, It's Friday.' Landion said in the same 1/3 upset, 1/3 whiny, and 1/3 angry voice. That was when Eldarion realized his mistake. He was supposed to walk Landion home from school on Fridays because he didn't have to do homework the minute he got home. Then they would do something fun together. He had been going home on Fridays with his friend Ailduin and occasionally Alyssa and Aranel, and on the first day of a new tradition he had forgotten. He had walked home with the twins, Ailduin had had an engagement, done his weekend homework before the weekend, and come outside to go see if Aranel and Alyssa wanted to study with him, but Landion had been sitting on the battlements with his feet hanging over the side which was a recipe for disaster.
'Landion, I'm really sorry. I betrayed you, and there's no point in making excuses. Now we still have three hours before sundown, we can still go to the brook, can't we?'
'Okay! Thanks, Muindor!' He tried to spin around and leap at the same time, but nearly succeeded in falling off. Eldarion picked Landion up and put him on the stone decking.
'I say we hurry. Want to race?'
