I own no part of The Walking Dead, not even when I am dreaming.

No spoilers.

Daryl staked through the brush low to the ground, weaving in and out of the shadows.

He was the hunter and nothing was going to keep him from his prey. It was a matter of survival. Life and death. There was no more going to stores to get what you want, now you had to fight tooth and nail to just get what you need.

He laid on the ground and army crawled through the grass to make it to the next bush.

As cold hearted as it may sound, it was every man for himself. You could rely on no one, even the most innocent would stab you in the back just to make sure they would survive one more day.

He glanced over the car he was using for cover. The group sitting around the fire didn't even know he was there. As quietly as he could, he eased the back door open. His hands blurred as he filled his bag grabbing every last one of the stash in the car. Unfortunately he only counted 5, but his group was desperate.

Again he looked at the group around the fire, the only thing that kept the guilt from stopping him was there were no kids in the group.

He closed the door and made the journey back to the woods inch by careful inch. He could not take the chance of being discovered. If they caught him, even if they didn't kill him, they would reclaim what he had taken.

He released a sigh of relief when he could no longer see the fire. With this, the group would be able to make it awhile longer.

Alex left the group and made his way to the car. They had scored big time today and he was about to reap the rewards of that arduous find. They had almost not made it, the dead had been numerous. And at first, they had thought that the fight had been for nothing, but then they had found it. Everyone was so excited. The whole group was still riding on the high of that find.

With a skip in his step, he made it to the car and threw open the door.

He froze.

IT was gone.

Quickly he tore through the other supplies, but IT was still gone.

He dropped to his knees, tears in his eyes.

Where was the toilet paper?
