Harry walked down the old dirt road slowly. He had decided to walk from the village to try to get his thoughts in order. His mind was in turmoil. On one side was his happiness at being with Ginny. On the other, what he was about to do might not sit well with her brothers. It was Sunday Brunch at the Burrow and the whole family was going to be there. Harry sighed. His choice to ask now, rather than later might make his life shorter.

Harry had never felt so happy, complete before he was together with Ginny, both before the War and after. She gave his life meaning. She understood what he had been through. She never judged, never pushed. Ginny would certainly tell him if he was wrong about anything, but that fire and passion was just another thing he loved about her. Memories of their late date crept into his mind, making Harry grin to himself. It was nothing overly special just sitting on the cliffs watching the sunset with a picnic dinner.

His mind then turned to picture each of her brothers. Bill, the curse-breaker, who knew more spells than anyone he knew. Charlie, who worked with dragons. That thought always made him shutter. Percy, who worked for the Ministry. George. George was still not the same after Fred was killed, but he still ran the best prank and joke shop in the country. And then there was Ron. His best mate. But Harry knew all too well Ron had some issues with anger at times, and this could be one of those times.

As Harry crested the last small hill, the Burrow came into view. He stopped at the ward line watching as Bill and Charlie placed the tables together outside. Ron and George were holding the chairs, waiting. Percy was being Percy, directing traffic. Then he saw her. Red hair in all its glory, flowing out behind her in the slight breeze as she hollered at her brothers to hurry up.

Ginny set the dishes she had been carrying on the table before looking up. Harry could see her bright smile even from where he stood. Ginny broke into a run toward him. Harry took a deep breath. Suddenly, his mind was clear. Her brothers didn't have a say in their relationship! It was about them. Harry and Ginny. Ginny and Harry. End of discussion. And if they had a problem with it, Harry was sure he and Gin could put them in line. Or at least, he knew Ginny could.

She ran into his open arms. Harry swung her around in a circle as she giggled. Harry set Ginny down, pulling her tightly into a hug. He pulled back to kiss her in full view of her brothers. This was his happiness. Her happiness. They didn't have a say.

"Hey, you," Ginny asked breathlessly as Harry pulled back.

"Hi."

"Miss me or something?" she asked with a grin. "It's only been two days."

"Well, yeah, I did miss you," Harry smiled. He glanced over her shoulder to make sure her parents were outside. "And I'm tired of missing you like that."

"Harry?" Ginny asked as she looked at him if he had just sprouted a second head.

"Gin, I love you," Harry began. He slipped one hand into his pocket as he took her hand in his other.

"I love you, too," Ginny blinked at him. "Harry, what…?"

"Shh," he shushed quietly. Harry bent down on one knee, looking into those gorgeous chocolate-colored eyes. "Gin, I want to spend every day with you. Every minute of every day. I want to be there for you every day for the rest of our lives…"

"Harry…" Ginny gasped with wide eyes.

"Ginevra Molly Weasley, with you do me the honor of being my bride? Will you marry me?" Harry asked.

"Oh, Harry," her voice trembled. Her hand shook in his. "Yes!"

Harry stood, placing the ring on her finger. Ginny pulled him into a searing kiss.

Suddenly, they were covered in water. Harry looked up to see her brothers holding their wands with smug smiles.

"No good deed goes unpunished, Harry," Bill shrugged.
