Chapter 0.5: Prologue

It has been a year since the collapse of the Lunar Capital. Some decided to stay and rebuild the city, some others moved to Gensokyo and lived their normal and peaceful life in the Human Village. The latter includes Sagume Kishin, a former leader of the Lunar Capital, now lived in Eientei along with its residents plus Ringo and Seiran. Life in Eientei is casual, but happy and warm. Sagume feels like she has found a new home.

The Shining Needle Castle, where an amanojaku, Seija Kijin lives. She feeds on people's hate and anger, classic amanojaku behavior. And today she has gone to the Human Village to prank some people, as usual.

The amanojaku walks on the street of the village, looking for a favorable target. The streets seems a little more inactive than usual, which means that the amanojaku will have less opportunities to commit mischief. Seija sighed and decided to move on, hoping for a good person for her to mess with. Soon, she found Reisen Udongein Inaba, walking on the street with a bag of medicines so that she could sell it. Seija immediately noticed that the rabbit is wearing short skirt today.

"A ha! A perfect rabbit for my schemes"-Seija gave an evil grin.

So this is what the amanojaku is thinking on her head. She will use her flipping ability and flip Reisen's skirt upwards, and then everyone will see what's under the skirt. Seija maniacally giggled and decided to perform her tricks. She stood in an alleyway between two houses and counted from 3, 2, 1...

Right after that, Seija waved her hand, creating a magical aura and BOOM! Reisen who was standing next to a person, exchanging medicines for money, suddenly realized that the skirt was flying upward. She put the bag to the ground and used her hand to put down the skirt, screaming. Everyone turned their attention towards the Earth Rabbit. She tried to hide it, but it was too late. They saw it, that thing under the skirt. Reisen's face blushed, embarrassed. Tears of shame drippled down from her eyes. Seija, standing in the dark of an alleyway, observed the whole thing. She began to smile, she can feel the joy. Seeing other people suffer is basically her hobby. She really liked the "show" she had put. After a while when some people walked away, she went out of that alleyway and looked at Reisen for a moment. The rabbit kneeled down and cried. On Seija's face was clearly a smile, as if she has accomplished something. The amanojaku walked away casually as if nothing had happened.

"Welp. That was satisfying"-Said Seija while she was walking on the road.

Seija couldn't stop thinking of that moment when she saw the thing under Reisen's skirt. White. Pure white. She grinned deviously. She doesn't seem to care of her surroundings and was all into her fantasies at that point. It took her a while to stop thinking of that. She looked around her and realized she was in the Bamboo Forest of The Lost.

"Why did I end up here?"-Seija thought to herself with a confused look.

She tried to find her way out, but everywhere is the same, there are only bamboo trees around, obscuring the sunlight. Soon she found a figure with one wing in the distance. The girl turned against Seija and said hi. In response, Seija simply waved her hand.

"Hello... I guess... Wait... Are you an amanojaku?"-Seija reluctantly greeted the other person.

"Well i am a type of amanojaku indeed. My name is Sagume Kishin. You can call me Sagume"-Sagume gave Seija a smile while responding.

"Can you get me out of this place?"-Asked Seija.

No response, Sagume stood there without saying a word.

"Umm... Hello?! Are you dead?"-Seija gave Sagume a confused look.

No response, again. Seija was visibly angry at that point, she said:

"Ok... I think you're dead (lol). Gotta get the shovel."-Seija went away.

"Wait!"-Sagume reached her arm towards Seija.

"What takes ya so long to talk? I literally tried to bury you."-Asked Seija.

"Actually I was thinking of what to say."-Sagume explained.

"Eh?"

Sagume sighed:

"My ability is to reverse things with words. That's why."

"Cool. I guess"-Seija smirked.

"Not at all, I can't disable this so I always have trouble communicating."-Sagume explained further.

Seija, after hearing that, gave Sagume a cunning grin:

"Hey. Ya wanna join my Amanojaku Army? With our powers, we will be able to conquer Gensokyo!."

"Eh. I don't want to cause trouble so soon. You know about that rebellious youkai, right?"-Said Sagume.

Seija simply put in a smile in response to Sagume.

"Oh. Wait a second... Are you that rebellious person who caused the social upheaval incident?!"-Sagume asked with a surprised look.

"Yes, miss Kishin. I was the one behind that incident, and the rebellion in the events of Impossible Spell Card"-Seija claimed.

"You sure caused some negative reputation, right?"-Sagume giggled.

"Heh. That's what amanojakus like me are supposed to be"-Seija sticks out her tongue.

The two amanojakus went on talking. Meanwhile, a giant rift appears on the sky, creating a loud noise in the distance. Soon, one of them, Seija, noticed the sound.

"Eh? I think I heard a loud noise coming from somewhere. Can you hear it too, Sagume?"-Seija tapped the one-winged amanojaku's shoulder and asked.

Sagume stopped talking and look around. She clearly heard a loud, strange noise.

"I can hear it. And I think it's getting louder"-Said Sagume.

They looked around, searching for the source of the noise. After a while, Sagume noticed some bamboo trees shiver and went looking in that direction. Her eyes went wide and was visibly shocking. There was a large rift, sucking in the bamboos and bushes in the area. She shouted:

"S-Seija?!"

Seija turned around and her expression was the same as Sagume. Seija shouted and told Sagume to run, but it was too late. The two girls were engulfed in darkness. The rift vanished after that.

Somewhere in the Outside World... There was an archipelago consisting of 4 major islands which is named Melemele, Akala, Ula'ula and Poni respectively. The four islands sat next to each other, creating the so-called "Alola" region. On top of the small hill in the Melemele island, there was a placed called "Pokemon School", it is simply a place where young students are taught about Pokemon, so that when they become a true trainer, they'll have some knowledge and experience to rely on. Prof. Kukui is one of the teachers there, and he got himself a handful of students. One day, he heard that there was a boy going on an adventure in Alola, his name is Ash Ketchum. Kukui knew it and had let him stay in his house for a while...

On a starry Sunday night, Prof. Kukui sit on his sofa with Ash, he said in the afternoon that he would ask him something tonight, so here's the time. He looked at Ash and the young man looked at the professor too.

"Hey. I wanted to say something..."-Asked Kukui.

"Huh? What is it?"-Ash replied with a confused voice.

"Would you mind if I put you into the Pokémon School. I mean, you are indeed a talented trainer. But I wanted you to get used to the new region."-Kukui responed.

"The Pokémon School huh?"-Ash still couldn't figured what professor meant.

"Well... It's a place where young trainers study and learn about the Pokémon. There, you can meet some of my other students and I'm sure they'd love to see you too!"

"Woah! Can I go?!"-Ash replied in excitement, he knew that he is going to make some friends. His partner, Pikachu, sitting on his shoulder somewhat understood the conversation, the yellow rodent's expression is clearly as excited as Ash. The two are best friends, since the very beginning.

"Alright. Tomorrow, you will be officially attending the Pokémon School."-Kukui smiled.

"Sweet! Can't wait to see your students!"-Said Ash with an amused tone.

"Ok."-Prof. Kukui looked at the clock while saying, it was somewhere around 10 P.M right now. "I think it's time to go to bed, Ash. You don't want to be late for tomorrow."

Ash happily went to his room and jump on the bed.

"Man! I wonder what the Pokémon School looks like"-Ash seems like he couldn't sleep.

"Pika Pika!"-His Pikachu sitting next to him, excited as well.

Ash turned off the light and put on his blanket, he was so excited that he could barely sleep...
