I walk out the doors of the Institute, pulling my leather black jacket around me. I know it's not a cold day, but I am cold with nerves. I quickly walk towards my desired location, which is a few blocks away. Ugh, I think to myself. But I don't want to arrive all drenched in sweat. So instead of walking there, I call one of the cabs I wait for him to pull over, I look at how beautiful the day is. The sun is shining and casting a warm glow to the trees and buildings. The cab pulls over, and I take a look at who is driving me. I don't want a demon driving me to my boyfriend's house. Looking at the driver, he's a plump man with a cap on that says 'Go Rangers!' on it. Whatever the hell that meant. Yep, this is definitely a mundane. He has scruffy brown hair that looks like it has a coat of grease on it. I almost gag to myself, but the car is silent, so is the driver.

I told him where I wanted to go and he was on his way. Only problem was, I didn't have mundane money. Dammit,I thought, how am I going to get out of this? Instead, I just sit there, hands in my lap, not something I normally do. I watch as all the mundane buildings pass by. They are all littered in trash, not something I call beautiful, as others might say., I don't know how these mundanes could live in one of these places. They are all covered in plastic, not something I would want to breath in everyday. At the Institute, we make sure to not litter. Just to keep the place clean. He keeps staring at the buildings, and a thought comes through his head. Clary used to live in one of these things. He winces slightly at the thought of her. Clary. I don't know why, but she just irritates me. Ever since she's come along, Jace has been acting weird. And our trio has turned into a duo because of her. I push the thought of her away, not wanting to ruin my good mood for Magnus.

I arrive and the cab driver gives me a questioning look. I think I know why. The glamour here is pretty strong, Magnus's apartment must look like a wreck or something. At least he's giving me that kind of look.I thank him and get out. Before I shut the door, he grunts a little, and I remember.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, sir, I don't have money.", I say, before I add," Well, you see, my grandfather, he, uh- lives here, and my grandmother just passed away. She's normally the one who takes care of the place. He's been a wreck without her-"

" You know what kid, I'll let you pass on this one. Tell him it gets easier..", he smiles.

" Thank you so much, I will.", I say and shut the door. Stupid mundanes, they'll believe anything. I make my way up to the apartment door. I clean my feet on the welcome mat and with a shaky hand I knock.

" Ahh. There he is! My love.", he examines me and then pulls me into a hug. I hug him back, giving him a soft kiss on the ear. He pulls back and invites me in.

" I was getting scared you wouldn't come.", he says as I make myself comfortable on his black couch and take my jacket off.

"Of course I would come. It's our first date, I wouldn't miss it for the world.", again something else I don't normally say. But I'm still getting used to the whole dating thing.

" I know, I don't know why I worried." He looks at me with this excited look in his green-yellow cat eyes that always makes my heart flutter. " Oh, but don't get too comfortable, we have to get into the car and go to the restaurant.", he offers me his hand and I take it, hesitantly. I don't know why though. " Darling, are you alright?", he asks, with the normal flowiness that Alec adores.

" Yea, I guess. Just really nervous.", he says, hands shaking, heart beating. He doesn't normally act like this, it's just something about Magnus that makes his heart race. He makes his mind space out where he can't think straight. Magnus has been the only person who makes Alec's heart beat this fast, who makes his mind go blank, who makes him feel like he's going to shatter if he doesn't hold on to him. So far, Magnus has been the only one to break through the walls he's hidden himself in all these years. Magnus gives him a concerning look and grabs the collar of his shirt pulling him close.

" Oh, love, you look like you're about to faint. Hey," he puts his finger underneath his chin and holds him up, making him look into his eyes," You know you can tell me anything, right?", he looks him up and down and Alec feels like he can see right through him. He's telling the truth though. He is just really nervous, like what if he completly embarrases himself in front of him? Or makes a wrong move on him? Anxiety, like a wave, comes crashing down on him like a tsunami, scattering little pieces of him all over the place. He pushes the anxious feeling away, and replies," It's just,", he sighs, " I've never done this before. And I don't want to screw this up."

" It's ok, baby, we all get nervous.", he pulls Alec into a warm hug and Alec's face is buried in Magnus's purple suit. Alec immediately is overwhelmed by Magnus's cologne."I'm not a baby!", Alec says, laughing into his suit. He breathed in his soothing smell before pulling back, savoring the smell of cinnamon and vanilla.Huh, men cologne doesn't smell like vanilla and cinnamon. Maybe it's perfume? Whatever, it smelled good. He looks into his eyes once more, his glitter under his eyes shining more than ever.

" Yea, OK.", Magnus replies, laughing as well. Alec loves his laugh, it fills him with happiness and is extremely contagious. He loves the way his laugh lines flow across his face, the way his eyes squint almost. Alec has never really payed attention to it before, but now, taking a good look at him, Alec realizes, Damn, he's really hot. Alec laughs again and takes Magnus's hand and guides him to the door.

"Hey, don't you want your jacket, it might be cold there." Magnus says, looking at him with a waiting look in his eyes.

Alec thinks about it for a moment. But he feels so flushed, and is all the sudden hot, " Nah, I think I'll be fine.", Giving him a smile as they make their way to the door again.
