FATE:ZERO PEACE

CHAPTER 00: SUMMONING OF HEROES

THE time had come for the Holy Grail War to begin once again at Fuyuki City, and Watcher stood in a mysterious white space staring at the possible futures of the so-called war.

Over the last hundred or so years, the Grail have three different Holy Grail War, with each being different from the other, but one thing remains the same and stay constant for all three of the Holy Grail War- the fact that everyone was battling for one thing, the omnipotent device known as the Holy Grail, not to be confused with the item that King Arthur and his knights of the Round have search for. It could grant any wish but only one pair of Master and Servant could have it fulfilled, so there is a battle royale, with everyone aiming for the Holy Grail.

But Watcher is not interested in the slightest, as he has seen many Holy Grail Wars from the First to the Third, and each one of them resulted in the same boring results. The only thing that made him slightly interested is when Avenger was summoned instead of Berserker, but he died too early. So as the Fourth Holy Grail War looming in the corner, Watcher has thought to himself what will happen if all the servants summoned aren't the one their master had originally planned? That would be very interesting as Watcher smiled and scribbled his pencil hands on the book of Fate.

He looked forward to this Holy Grail War…

FZP

Kirei Kotomine did not expect this.

True, the stoic priest of Fuyuki City have not expected many things during his life, some examples includes he being selected as a master for the Holy Grail War, him being a priest that preach about happiness and salvation while he is unable to have it himself, and him having a sadistic nature. The original plan was for him to summon the famous Assassin from the Middle East, Hassan-i-Sabah, with the skull mask catalyst his teacher, Tokiomi Tohsaka, had provided for him. The Old Man of the Mountain should be the person who should come forth from the Summoning circle once he completed the summoning ritual.

But, when the area itself has settled from the summoning ritual's aftermath, Kirei Kotomine blinked and found himself looking at someone, someone that is definitely not the cloaked assassin he thought he would be seeing. And that would mean he did something wrong, and his teacher would be very disappointed by the said result.

The Assassin Class Servant is a young man with a slim built. He wore a black tight bodysuit with metal plating on parts of his outfit, most of which is on the upper parts. He also wore a pure scarf over his neck and carried a black blade by his side. He has short hair, with the front being covered by bangs. He had some purple markings beneath his eyes, and he glanced at Kirei and stated, "I am a Servant Assassin, and you must be my master."

" Yes, I am," Kirei responded to his servant as he took a closer look at his servant. His servant looks like a ninja, ancient Japanese secret warriors trained in the arts of assassination, hiding, disguise, and combat. Though it is not what Tokiomi have expected him to summon, ninjas could be very helpful in times of defeating an enemy in the shadows.

"Let me make this clear Master," the Assassin said in a dangerous tone as Kirei looked at him in the face, "When the war ends, and the time comes for me to get my wish, you will not get in the way, do I make myself clear?"

Kirei nodded, though it is not as if he has a wish to begin with. He only participated in the Holy Grail War because he was chosen as a master by the Grail, he only summoned a servant because his teacher told him to, and if anything, all he wants is answers to the questions he holds. So he could go along with his servant getting the wish he wanted, although that might cause conflict with the Tohsaka.

Assassin smiled a somewhat creepy smile before muttering to himself, "Hehehehe… I will use the Grail to fight him again and again until my eventual victory over you, Saitama…"

Kirei listens to the muttering of Assassin and is desperate to ask him about the man named Saitama, but he decides against it. After all, there is no guarantee that they will win the Grail War, and even if they did, it is not like Kirei have anything to wish for in the first place.

Tokiomi Tohsaka is not happy.

Him, the proud head of the Tohsaka family, a line of magus that is one of the founders of the Holy Grail War, is not calm about the current crisis that he was in at the current moment, and it has to do with a lot of different factors. First thing first, Kirei Kotomine, his student as a magus, managed to nearly jeopardize his plan by summoning a goddamn ninja of all people. The only saving grace is that the ninja have agreed to the faking death plan, but he is still pissed by that. Sometimes he wonders if Kirei is a secret ninja fan underneath his stoic personality.

With that being the case, it told Tokiomi two major things about the summoning ritual he will do. The first thing is that he has to double check everything, from the summoning circle drawing all the way to the catalyst all the way to the lines he will be chanting, because one little mistake can cause him to summon someone else other than Gilgamesh. Luckily for him, he has money, so he can buy the catalyst necessary to summon Gilgamesh and buy all the necessary items required for his summoning ritual.

And the Second thing? Well, too bad that Tokiomi forgot that, because it is that no matter what he can do, he can't escape from crossing fate, fate that he will summon someone else other than Gilgamesh.

The man in front of him is not the great king of Uruk, rather it is someone else. He has vibrant red hair, with a mask covering his right eye and wore glasses. He has a red goatee on his chin, and he wore a black uniform with gold linings and outlinga. He had a badge on the left side of his uniform, and he carried a gun by his side. Behind him, there is a big black tombstone that is being shackled by chains.

The man introduced himself, "I am Servant Archer, so you must be my master." He looked at his master, who was shocked and unhappy by the whole thing.

"Who are you!?" Tokiomi demanded as Archer started to walk around the room to find some wine stored in a chamber, and Archer smiled, "You are not the King of Heroes, right?"

"Are you asking me am I Gilgamesh?" The man said as he opened the wine bottle, before tasting the wine, " Exquisite. No, I am not Gilgamesh, but I am very powerful in my own rights. Now, let me enjoy my wine, and have some time to myself. Even though you ain't filthy, I still prefer a woman summoning me instead…"

Tokiomi left the room for Archer to enjoy his time alone with the wine, and he cursed himself for failing his task to summon the servant he wanted and wasting a fortune. At least Archer seems like a capable and powerful servant, something he doesn't mind. And there is yet a third thing he has failed to know, and it is that by the end of this Holy Grail War…

His entire family fortune will be gone.

FZP

Kayneth Archibald is in a foul mood.

The teacher of the Clock Tower and the prideful magus have suffered a streak of bad luck in the current moment, and his would-be wife is probably secretly laughing at his terrible luck, not that he mind. More importantly, he recalled all of the terrible luck he faced up to the summoning of his servant…

When he was chosen as a master deem worthy by the Holy Grail, which of course he is, he set aside a catalyst for a very powerful servant, the famed conqueror from Macedonia named Alexander the Great. Or at least he thought that he did do that, but when he searched for the said catalyst, it was missing.

But all Magus should be prepared for the unexpected, and he is no exception as he has the catalyst for the famed Irish hero Diarmuid's store somewhere safe. So when he arrived in Japan and began the summoning ritual, he believed that there could be nothing that could haunt him. He spoke too soon, for the summoning ritual did not go accordingly to plan.

The servant in front of him is a man with light gray hair, with a scar across his face as he wore a tengai hat that cover his face with a shadow. He wore clothing similar to that of a Buddhist monk, and had a large parting bead necklace around his neck. He wields a shakujo staff, and he stares at Kayneth, who was utterly disappointed by the servant he has just summoned.

The servant before him is possibly a warrior monk from Japan, not the famed hero that hails from Ireland. Lancer looked at his master and introduced himself, "I am Lancer, and I will grant you victory in the Holy Grail War."

"AS IF!" Kayneth yelled at the top of his voice, showing visible signs of anger and frustration as he lashed out at the Lancer he had just summoned for the Holy Grail War, "You are nothing but a warrior monk from ancient Japan, if you are actually anyone! Where is Diarmuid!?"

"I have never heard of Diarmuid," Lancer said seriously and stoically as he looked at his frustrated master, "And you doubt my abilities, master?"

"Of course I do!" Kayneth shouted again at his servant as he clenched his fist, "You are nothing more than an accidental summon! We might as well as lose the Holy Grail War at this point because of you!"

"Kayneth!" His fiance, Sophia-Ri Sola-Ui, cut into the conversation with an angry tone, "isn't it good enough for you to at least summoned a servant!? I am sure that the servant we have here is more than capable of accomplishing what he claims he will do!"

"It appears that your company has greater faith in me than you do, Master," Lancer remarked as he turned away from his angry master, placing his tengai head in a spot where it covered his entire face with shadow, "very well, Master. I will show you the might of the Tendoshu and win the Grail for my master's sake."

Kayneth was angry by all the unlucky things that have happened to him, and he assumes that everything that Lancer has told him is nothing more than hot air. Still, he has to admit that if Lancer is truly one of the famed Warrior Monks of Japan that is said to rival the strength of a samurai, he may be lucky that he didn't get anyone worse. And for better or for worse, the servant he has just summoned isn't what he thinks he got…

Waver Velvet was shocked.

He has stolen the catalyst for Alexander the Great, the mighty conqueror of Macedonia, from his teacher from the Clock Tower who has humiliated him in front of his class all because of a simple disagreement in a thesis. That made the young boy mad, and upon getting the Command Seals for being a master in the Holy Grail War, he decided to steal the catalyst to get back at his teacher while getting a powerful servant in process.

That was his initial plan, to summon the Great Conqueror of the World and win the Holy Grail War so people can recognize his talents, but things change. While being in the woods, Waver has begun his summoning ritual and plans to summon the servant he desire, only to be met with someone else entirely.

The man in front of him is a person with brown hair, and glanced at the boy with an annoyed expression on his face. He wore a white jacket over his black shirt, and there are straps wrapped around both of his wore a belt over his matching black pants, with the same straps around his legs.

Rider looked at Waver, who was in complete utter shock by his appearance mostly because Rider is not the famed conqueror hailed from Macedon, and he said to his master, "I am servant Rider, and you are my contractor, right?"

"Umm… I am your master," Waver said, showing his command seal to his servant, who was not impressed by that sight.

"Master? You pleb are definitely high on something," the Rider said as he frowned, not amusingly upon his master, "No one can be my master, because if anything, you should be my slave, you pleb."

"But, the rules of the Holy Grail War said that anyone with the command seals is the-" Waver was cut from saying the rest of the statement due to Rider glaring at him.

"Excuse me, you pleb, what is your name?" Rider asked his master, who realizes he had forgotten to introduce himself to his servant.

"I am Waver Velvet, your master for this Holy Grail War," Waver stated, but he never get to say anything else about him when Rider looks away from his master, causing Waver to walk closer to Rider and heard the words-

"Shut up Waver." Rider said as he walked toward the city and away from their current location, which is conventionally the woods, "you are just as annoying as my little brother…"

Waver shuts up and follows Rider, and he wonders what sort of servant he had just summoned. The last thing he wants is a rich arrogant narcissist bastard that holds a stupid grudge against someone becuase he never beat him in a children's card game… Really, that is very unlikely, or so he thought.

Kariya Matou is shocked.

He has returned to his father, the very man he has left and hated, just so he can free the daughter of a woman he loved so very much from that evil being's grasp. The only bargaining chip he had against Zouken matou, the head of the Matou family, or the formerly known Makiri Family, one of the three main magus families that made the Holy Grail, is the fact that he have been chosen as a master by the Grail to fight in this war.

Zouken, seeing that his son is a master, decided to let Sakura go free from his control so long if Kariya win the war and acquired the Holy Grail for him, but the slimy old man laughed as he know that it is impossible for his son to win the war, much less get the Grail. Feeling somewhat generous, Zouken gave Kariya a catalyst to summon one of the Mad Warrior of the Berserker class as his servant for the war. Really, he didn't expect much from his son anyways, so even with a catalyst Zouken believed Kariya would fail.

But Kariya was shocked by the servant he had summoned for the Holy Grail, and Zouken for some strange reasons felt danger upon seeing the servant that was summoned. The servant that was supposed to be the Berserker radiated danger to the old man.

The servant is a muscular well built man, with brown hair and a green and yellow striped scarf around his neck. He wore a green tank top and blue jeans, and he also wore dark black books. Around one of his hands he held a clacker. And he eyed Kariya as he said, "Hey, I am servant Berserker, nice to meet you master!"

"Well, Kariya," Zouken remarked as he slowly clapped his hand, "Looks like you have summoned an interesting servant…" He still can't get over the fear that he has obtained from the Berserker, but it seems like the fear he get is for nothing.

The servant turned to face Zouken and exclaimed, "Who the hell is the old man!? Do you know him?"

Kariya answered to the Servant's question, "Yes, I do know him, and he is my father and a bastard. But Berserker, let's get out of this shithole. I don't want to talk to him or see him again."

Kariya had already turned to leave, but Berserker stayed behind. Zouken watched Berserker's next move, he may have to be cautious around this servant because the worms inside him are yelling danger upon being around him. Just as he turned away from the servant, he heard intense breathing and felt as if the sun had scorched all the worms inside him.

He recovered, only to see the danger gone from his sight. Kariya and Berserker have left the manor as Berserker said, "Man, that guy is creepy. Anyways Master, I will win the Holy Grail War and use the Grail for my own benefits, I believe you have no problem with that?"

"Yea…" Kariya answered back. He only participated in the Holy Grail War to free Sakura, but he saw what Berserker did to Zouken before. Berserker entered some weird pose as he breathed and struck Zouken with his fist, with a strange yellow glow around it before he left.

He has many questions for his servant, but right now he has to find a place to sleep. It will be very good if his servant has some sort of ability that can remove the worms inside Sakura and defeat Zouken, but there is no way he can be that lucky.

Kiritsugu was disappointed.

He has a plan to summon the legendary King Arthur, who would be one of the most powerful servants, using the Avalon as a catalyst to summon him. He became a master for the Einzbern family, one of the three main families that created the initial Holy Grail War, and married into them.

The Magus Killer have planned to use King Arthur as a tool to acquire the Grail at all cost, and to grant his wish of world peace. The cold hearted master frowned when he completed his summoning ritual, and it is not the grand king of Camelot that stood before him, nor is it the girl holding an invisible blade.

And the strangest thing that happened with the summoning is there is some mysterious narration voice that was first heard when the summoning ritual was on the way. "In a galaxy far far away…" The voices have called out.

Kiritsugu is familiar with that phrase, as there is an American movie named Star Wars which introduces itself with the same exact words. He hoped he is just hearing it from a movie and not from the summoning. "The race of Saber have dominated the entire galaxy, destroying all of the Lancers and hunting down all the Archers. As the Universe is being populated with the cancerous Sabers, one warrior has taken it upon herself to become the ultimate Anti-Saber weapon!"

The summoning ritual was completed once the narration was completed, and his wife Irisviel wanders into the room where both of them witness the servant in front of them. There is no way the servant is King Arthur.

Kiristugu may have expected King Arthur could be a girl, but the servant in front of him is beyond his imagination. She is a teenager, or at least looks like a teenager, wearing a blue jacket over her white shirt. She wore a blue scarf and a blue cap over her blonde hair, with her ahoge sticking out of the said cap. She wore no pants, but rather extremely short shorts and blue leggings. She wore a white and blue sneakers, and she wields a sword that looks kind of like the Excalibur but at the same time isn't the legendary blade.

The servant introduces herself, "Hi, I am Servant- wait, I forget my class, but I am here to exterminate all Sabers for the Holy Grail War!"

Kiritsugu is at a loss of words to respond to the futuristic looking servant, whereas Irisviel commented, "But I thought you are the Saber, because Saber have yet to be summoned in the Holy Grail War yet before you…"

"REALLY!?" The servant said in shock, "So that makes me the Saber. The job application freaking lies to me, they say they want a Saber slayer for the Holy Grail War, not a Saber…" The Servant pulled out a crumpled up piece of paper as she looked at the job application again, before crumbling it up and placing it back in her pocket.

"Okay, let me introduce myself. I am Servant Saber, or at least that is what it seems I am, but make no mistake! I will win the Holy Grail and annihilate all the Saberfaces in the entire universe, and collect the money and go buy a mountain of food! I believe you have no problem with that, right Master?" The Saber Class Servant said.

Irisviel giggled at this while Kiritsugu had to keep up his stoic expression because this is honestly not what he had expected. But if the Servant he summoned is a Saber, the strongest class of the entire Holy Grail War, he supposed he still has a great chance of winning. He hasn't taken into account everything about his servant into his plan, though, and he will need to test out her capabilities when the time comes.

The Fourth Holy Grail War is officially on the way, and most of the servants save for one have been summoned. And this will be one of the wildest rides yet!

Author's Section

Sip… Ah, drinking a nice glass of water while typing this fanfic really helps, especially with all the wild things going on with the world. Looking at you, Coronavirus. Anyways, I am not here to do a PSA, so let me give you the gist of the story.

So far, six of the seven servants have been replaced by characters of other franchises or series save one, which is Saber, who is still from the Fate Series but isn't the one we all love and know. I hope you can give this Fanfic a read and a review, as these are the lifelines of an Author. Anyways, I hope you can guess the servants mentioned and give a review, and here is a sneak preview of the next chapter…

"You think you are some sort of villain?"

Uryuu is feeling both afraid and excited at the same time. The demon he summoned placed his hand on his head, and Uryuu felt the blood in his body being pushed away toward his brain…

"Real Villains don't hurt random people to get their attention, they go get attention by doing true EVIL!"

Caster laughs as blood spatter all over the place, and he faced the child.
