So... This is my first fanfic I'm posting on this site...

Okay, I got to level with you, this is NOT the first fic I made. Well technically, this is more of a rewrite of a rewrite of a rewrite this fic. My original plan was to write the whole story so I can schedule on chapter updates. But with college and the GODDAMN virus, I'm just going to wing it to the DEATH!

... and please don't kill me.

The Groj Effect

Chapter 1: Wake me up, before I Cray-Cray

Trina groaned as she's starting to gain consciousness. Her eyes fluttering open before feeling a dull throb in her head and her body aching just a bit. This isn't what she would call a pleasant wake-up call.

As her vision now became clear, she quickly realizes that she's in her room on her bed. She doesn't even remember entering her room to take a nap or anything. The last thing she recall was having an argument with her annoying brother wanting her to drive him and his lame-o band to some random gigs they wanted to do. But can't seem to remember after that, why is that? Confused, Trina quickly shot up in a sitting position, but she soon regretted it as her head begin to throb painfully.

"Like- OW, my head!" she shouts out loud, holding her head to stop whatever pain she possessed.

"Trina?"

Trina jumped from hearing her name, now feeling another presence is in her room. The pink-haired teen turns to the side of her bed to face the intruder, only to be dumbfounded to find Mina sitting on her chair. While she's glad to see her geeky friend (which she would never admit to her), she needs answers as to what had happened to her. "Like- what the heck happened to me! Mina why am I in my room!?" she demanded.

Mina was taken aback from her outburst but was able to answer. "You fainted out of nowhere and wouldn't wake up for like an hour. But uh ... who's Mina?"

Trina blinks in confusion but groaned. "UGH, don't play dumb with me, Mina."

Mina looks around the room to see if anyone else is in the room. Finding no one here but them, she turns back to Trina to ask, "Were you… talking to me?"

"Like- DUH, is there any other Mina in this room?"

"But my name isn't Mina." She object, "In fact, you never call me that before."

"Well, what else could it be?" Trina groaned, getting frustrated by the minute.

Mina quirked an eyebrow when she replied, "Bernadette. My name is Bernadette and you already knew that."

Trina eyes widen. "Huh? Like- since when?"

"Since kindergarten."

Trina just scoffed. "Yeah right, like I ever let you use that name or whatever."

Mina's eyes narrowed. "Well, it's Bernadette." She said firmly, "Whether you like it or not, it will always be my name no matter what." She crosses her arms crossed, making her serious.

Trina could not believe her ear. Since when did Mina become so assertive? It's shocking enough to hear Mina willingly talk back at her like that, like ever. Even so, she wouldn't dare let her talk out of commission. Just as Trina about to write her a new one, the throbbing pain decided to return in her head. She growls in frustration as she rubs her head in ease. If this keeps up, she won't get any answers. Guess she'll let Mina's rude behavior slide… for now.

"Are you okay? You are acting weird since you woke up." Mina's (A.K.A Bernadette's) voice broke through her thoughts and headache.

"Like- never mind about that." Trina grunted, "At least tell me why I'm back into my room cause, like- don't remember walking back here or what not."

Mina/Bernadette adjusted her glasses in a huff but complied anyway. "We were doing our usual study sessions in your room, remember?"

Trina tried to process what Mina- err, Bernadette was talking about. Study session? Where did that even come from? This has to be Mina's attempts to mess with her because clearly it isn't working. "Like- what of these 'study sessions' you are talking about, Mina?" the pink-haired girl said frustratingly, "This has got to be the worse joke you made up or whatever."

Mina/Bernadette sighed. "First off, it's Bernadette," Trina mumbled a bit but let her continue. "Second, this is not a joke. We would be having a study session every day after school. Where else would we be doing at this hour?"

"Gee, I don't know…. last time I checked, we were, like- in the garage and whatnot."

Mina/Bernadette blinked once more. "Why the heck would be in the garage…" she trailed off. Trina groan even louder, wanting to bury herself into her pillow. This is getting more frustrating by the minute. Just what the heck is going on?

"Trina, do you remember anything before you… blacked out?" Mina/Bernadette ask reluctantly, breaking her friend's train of thought.

"Like- all I can remember is my brother's lame-o band wanting me drive them to some stupid gig." She said. "But I totes can't remember after that."

Trina looked back at Mi- Bernadette to see a complex look on her face. She didn't want to ask, but she has to. "Like- what?"

"Well, it's just… I don't even know what you are talking about." Mi- Bernadette said, looking completely lost.

"You know what I'm talking about. Corey and his grody rock band, 'Grojband'." Trina explained air-quoting the band's name in distaste. "Like- come on, you should totes already know this by now."

"…. Trina, I never even heard of a band like that." The teal-haired girl said, arching an eyebrow at her once again. "And who is this Corey guy?"

"Like- UGH, do I have to spell everything out for you!?" Trina growled, "He's my lame little brother who thinks that music would solve anything. I mean seriously Mina. How could you forget something like that?!"

Mi-Bernadette became silent for a moment before giving her an honest answer. "But, Trina…"

"… You don't have a brother."

So, there you have it. Now my question is do you want this fic to continue cause I have no idea what to do with this anymore. Let me know in the reviews.
