The Cameras

This is the first fanfiction that I've ever written. A few things you might need to know before reading this fanfic:

My favorite fanon is that Danny is a genius but since he has a lot to do it rarely shows.

And me personally, I feel like the Fentons are really neglectful and only treat Jazz as their child and often forget about Danny.

And all ghosts know who Danny is, in and of Phantom form and have a high respect for him, even his enemies. They also know who Danny's friends are and respect them too to some extent.

The Mansons are horrible parents and really hate Sam

But the Foleys are the MVP's and pay attention to the trio but not so closely that they can't ghost hunt.

Phantom planet did not happen and there are a few things I moved up in my timeline depending on what I felt like.

Danny startles wake sweating profusely, the last sentence of his dream repeating in his mind.

"They will ALL know."

He rolls over looking at the clock beside his bed. '5:00 a.m.' Danny groans inside his head flopping back down on the bed. He glances around his room taking in his blue walls and the pictures and posters that cover them. He stares at the picture closets to his bed.

It showed him, Sam, and Tucker during Christmas last year at the Foley house. The three of them were standing in front of a Christmas tree. Sam was in the center holding back laughter, her purple lips forming something between a smile and a grimace. Her amethyst eyes were alight with mischief and mirf. She wore a purple crop top with black mesh covering her arms and stomach paired with tight purple jeans with black skulls decorating the right leg tucked into her signature combat boots, her hair was swept back in a low ponytail with a few strands escaping to frame her face. Tucker stood on Sam's left side with a grimace on his face as he slightly angled his body away from the goth girl. He had on a mustard yellow T-shirt with brown jeans and boots, his red beret clutched to his chest away from Sam and her clutches. Danny himself was standing on the right of Sam looking at his friends with a fond look. His dark blue long-sleeved shirt, black basketball shorts, black converse, and messy hair making it seem as though he just woke up; the only contradiction was the wide smile on his face.

"Danny!" His sister calls loudly from down the stairs.

Danny groans rolling out of his bed onto the floor. "What Spazz!"

He jumps into a fighting stance as his door gets slammed open and quickly shut. "What the hell Jazz!?" He spits out annoyed as he relaxes his stance.

"There's cameras." She says with sharp eyes.

Danny gives her a flat look as he walks toward his bathroom. Shaking his head he wets his fingers and runs them through his hair. Looking at his sister through the mirror he makes eye contact, raising a brow as if asking her to explain.

"There's cameras. Everywhere!" She repeats in a semi-calm tone.

Danny makes a face, "Why?"

"A show of some kind about Amity Park."

"Am I the focus?"

"No, I don't think so."

"Then we'll fade into the background. Simple," He says around his toothbrush, shrugging off his sister's incredulous look. He spits into the sink, " No one pays attention to us anyway so it'll be easy." He pauses to gargle water and spit, " Well maybe not Sam but me and Tuck definitely can easily go unnoticed."

"Danny," Jazz groans, " you're not thinking. Ghost, Amity Park, Danny. Ghost!" She stresses to him.

He blinks heading to his closet, " Oh, Fentons."

"Yes, Danny. We'll have cameras on us because of our parents."

He shrugs again ignoring her. Rifling through his closet he finds an outfit for the day, a blue longsleeve shirt, black flannel, and dark blue jeans he grabs some socks and underwear before heading back to the bathroom to take a shower.

"You're impossible!" She hufsf stomping out of the room leaving a smirking Danny behind.

Jack and Maddie Fenton sat at the kitchen table tinkering with one of their many inventions. A camera man stood across the room from them against a wall, out of the way of everyone and everything

Danny strolls down the stairs with his clothes on, the sleeves of his flannel being rolled back to his elbow showing the blue sleeves of the shirt under it. He stops to grab his black sneakers putting them on and lacing them up. He heads to the kitchen ignoring his sister who sat in the living room on the couch talking to a cameraman. Reaching the kitchen he ignores his parents heading to the minifridge on the left of the cameraman. He grabs yogurt, a granola bar, and a water bottle shutting the fridge and turning to leave the room.

"Danny Boy!" Jack Fenton booms startling the cameraman.

"Dad," Danny replies flatley stopping in front of his parents.

Jack beams looking at the camera, " This is my son Danny! He's 15-"

"16."

"16 and goes to Casper High the school that you all will see later!"

"Now Jack," Maddie pipes up softly lowering the hood of her jumpsuit," let Danny introduce himself."

"Right, Maddie! Go on son!"

Danny turns to the camera with a flat look, eyes flickering to something out of frame.

"Danny, do you need a ride to school? I'll drop you off before heading to the Library." Jazz announces her presence. She wore her long orange hair tied into a neat ponytail complimenting her dress shirt, vest, dress pants, and flats well.

"No," he answers shortly breezing out of the room.

"That's our Danny! Doesn't say much and loves to be alone! Except for his friends, that is." Jack explains to the camera.

His wife hums, narrowing her eyes after the boy who pops his head into the doorway of the kitchen. "There's a floating pancake in the living room," he disappears again.

Said pancake floats into the kitchen, " I am Pan and I will conquer this house!" The green pancake cries out as it gets shot by Maddie who wasn't looking at it.

"...who made pancakes?" Jazz mutters as she reaches for the minifridge.

"I wanted to test out the Fenton Pancake Maker!" Her dad shows off the product proudly.

"That's a normal pancake maker." The camera man observes.

"Yes," Jack starts with a frown.

"But it has the word Fenton on it," the family finishes in one voice with varying stages of excitement.

"Bye." Danny calls from the living room and not soon after the door closes.

"Who was that again," the cameraman mutters lowly to himself. "Oh, right, the son."

Author's Note: At the end of the chapters I'm gonna try and explain a little bit to clear up as many confusions as possible.

This story takes place at the beginning of their sophomore year of high school. So they are at least like halfway through the 1st semester.

The Christmas picture was taken at the Foley residence because the Fenton's think that Danny hates Christmas and Sam's parents typically leave her home during holidays.

Jazz and Danny are not that close. As the oldest sibling of 3 when i watched the show I personally thought that Maddie and Jack paid a lot of attention to Jazz and only paid attention to Danny when they needed too, aka the parent teacher conference. Thus Danny has a strained relationship with Jazz, they are still civil because, ya know siblings, but Danny has some things that have been boiling for a while that might get exposed. Big might.

I actually have to check when Danny's birthday is but let's say he is 16.

The Fenton's are neglectful. When I wrote this chapter I didn't want to outright say it, so I dropped a hint or two. Many of the things that you will learn about the trio and the other citizens of Amity Park are through the fan comments and observation(which i have not decided if I want to make them chapter by themselves yet or…)
