Unexpected Bliss
Hello everyone this is my second ever fanfic! I hope you enjoy and don't be afraid to review, like, and do whatever else you wanna do with this fanfic!
Summary: A blissful life for that of Karin but that may about change as she receives some unexpected but welcome news. This takes place way after the thousand year blood war and since I didn't really like the ending all too well I will be interpreting my own ending. This will be a HitsuKarin and IchiRuki story. Nothing belongs to me. The true owner is Tite Kubo.
It was a cool crisp spring morning in March when a certain young lady woke up. Her name is Hitsugaya Karin. She is about 210 years old. And while that is very old to some, others may say she is but a child.
When Karin woke up it was to see the face of the man she truly loves, the one and only love of her life, her husband Hitsugaya Toshiro. He is a captain of the Gotei 13. An organization that protects and serves the long dead souls of Soul Society. A captain of squad 10 of the Gotei 13 to be precise. And his wife is the lieutenant of squad 4. She started to think about all that has happened since She moved to Soul Society.
Karin moved to Soul Society because she was immersed in the dealings of shinigami and she once accidentally found out she was a shinigami herself when training with Urahara Kisuke. She found out that her zanpakuto's ability was to heal, attack, and defend with fire. The zanpakuto's name is Ban'no-en and the release command is engulf.
Plus she fell in love with a certain white-haired captain. After spending a great deal of time together from Karin healing Lieutenant Matsumoto's hangovers to healing slight scrapes, cuts and bruises at the squad 10 barracks, they fell in love with each other and started courting. About 4 years later they decided to marry. It wasn't a big celebration just some close friends and family. Of course with Ichigo and his wife Rukia as well as most of their friends and Toshiro's family being there in Soul Society only Kisuke, Yoruichi, Isshin, and Yuzu had to come from the world of the living. Soon Kurosaki Karin became Hitsugaya Karin.
They have been married for about 181 years. Compared to Ichigo and Rukia who were married 191 years and who only courted for 3 years when Ichigo was 24 years old. Then Ichigo finally got Byakuya's permission to marry Rukia. Rukia then took on the Kurosaki name and Ichigo decided to become the 3rd squad captain after the fall of Rose during the war. About 69 years later they had a baby boy named Kazuki Kurosaki.
Karin was snapped out of her reminiscing by Toshiro when he woke up and kissed her on the nose.
"Good morning my love." He whispered and kissed her neck.
"Good morning." She moaned
"We have a meeting today don't we?" She asked.
Toshiro just grumbled about no morning fun time and stupid boring meetings. Karin chuckled and brought him into a passionate kiss. Toshiro tried to make it deeper but before he could do that Karin pulled away and got off the bed to start getting ready for the day. Giving him a nice look at her ass. Toshiro followed what she was doing and got ready himself.
"I'm going to take a shower." Karin said.
"How about I join you." Toshiro smirked.
"Not now, we have that stupid meeting to go to as you call it."
He groaned and sat back on the bed still naked. He waited for her to be done and once she was he hopped into the shower.
They lived at a house not too far from squad 10 and 4's barracks, well if you consider quite a few shunpo's to be not too far. They lived within the neutral grounds over by the academy.
When he was out of the shower he smelled someone amazing cooking from downstairs in the kitchen. He quickly got his shihakusho on and grabbed his sleeveless haori.
He made it down to the kitchen to see Karin making pancakes, eggs, toast, and bacon. He poured them both a glass of orange juice and set it on the table where some of the food already was. He waited for Karin to join him and when they got started they both said "itadakimasu!"
Once they finished they gave each other a quick kiss goodbye so that they may head over to their respectable divisions and retrieve their lieutenant/captain.
The meeting was what Toshiro expected long, boring, tedious, and had absolutely nothing to do with him. He shot a few quick glances at Karinto to see what she was doing. She was kneeling behind Captain Kotetsu, but something was off about her she was wobbling, and looked to be on the brink of passing out. Toshiro was very worried for his wife and hoped that this meeting could end so he could attend to her. The head captain was giving his final remarks when Karin fell forward and passed out.
"Karin!" Both Ichigo and Toshiro yelled. "Lieutenant!" Captain Kotetsu called.
Captain Kotetsu turned around and immediately began examining her. When they reached her Toshiro brought her into his lap as Captain Kotetsu was doing her assessment on her..
"Please can you see what's wrong with her?" He asked.
"Let's take her back to the squad barracks. I'll know more about her condition there. Permission to leave Head Captain?" Captain Kotetsu said.
"You have my permission to go."
"I don't understand she was fine this morning and she looked perfectly healthy." Toshiro said.
With that they raced to the squad barracks where Karin was taken into a hospital room with medical equipment and such. Toshiro and Ichigo watched Isane as she began to take her blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and hook her up to a reiatsu monitor. The reiatsu monitor went off signaling that something was wrong.
"Ah, it seems that her reiatsu is just very depleted. Captain Hitsugaya would you know anything as to why she has this low of a level?" Isane said.
"I have no idea. I saw that she was wobbling and looking really tired like she was going to pass out but I wanted to wait until the meeting was over to check on her. She didn't do anything too exerting this morning."
"Yes and she didn't do anything besides walk with me to the first division. I'll have to take some blood and do some tests to see if it's a disease or virus."
Isane left the room with the blood sample to go do labs on her. Ichigo and Toshiro stayed in the room with her. Toshiro by her bedside and Ichigo sitting in a chair, both were very worried.
After about 10 minutes Isane came back with a smile on her face.
"Well she's perfectly healthy and this is actually expected for someone like her."
"What do you mean?" Ichigo asked.
"Well, I got the test results back and it seems like she will be quite fine. Congratulations Captain Hitsugaya, you're going to be a father!"
"WHAT?!"
