So this is my first story I guess. I've had other accounts but for some reason I had to make new ones.
Anyways, this story is Naruto x Hinata and I got the idea of this story from a small paragraph I had to read in school. This is probably going to be a one or two-shot story so enjoy!

"She won't like you."
"I've got nothing to lose."
"She probably thinks you're weird."
"I'm not that weird Kurama."
"You mumble to yourself. And I've told you plenty of times that I can read your thoughts, Naruto." said the beast known as Kurama.
Naruto sighed. He knew that the nine tails was probably right. He had loved this girl since the academy. This girl was Sakura Haruno, the cherry blossom, or more commonly known as the fifth Hokage's apprentice. She always rejected him until two days ago. He had, as usual, ended up in the hospital due to chakra exhaustion after doing, a village record of, 30 d-ranked missions. He had a reward for all of those missions by a free dinner to one of the most expensive restaurants in town, Omoi Sakura. He had to come up with the excuse of it not being a date and more of a team get-together. He said he invited kakashi, which he didn't.
He has been waiting for this day to come since she said yes. He even bother to dress up a bit. He was wearing a simple white tee shirt with a black button up shirt with the leaf symbol over it. He wore black jeans and dressier shoes. He let his hair hang loose and cover up more of this forehead.
He let his head hang low as he walked towards the restaurant. Sakura wouldn't let him pick her up since it wasn't a "date". It was a beautiful night out, no clouds, full moon, and the bright stars that lit the sky. The city itself was peaceful. The shops were closing and the night clubs opening. "Scared?" Said kyuubi pointing out the obvious. "Obviously dumbass fox" replied Naruto not wanting to think about how horribly wrong this could go.
Once he arrived he didn't wait long before Sakura entered the restaurant and sitting in front of him. They ordered their food and talked for a bit about ninja missions and what a plan could be for getting sasuke back. Once their food arrived they only had a bit of small talk before they finished and headed out. They decided on going on a walk on the beautiful night. They went to the few shops that were still open and then hiked the stairs to the hokage monument. They dropped down on the fourth Hokage's head and sat in silence.
Naruto thought it was a more romantic scene while Sakura thought it was awkward silence. Naruto made a move to hold her hand and Sakura looks offended by the action. She yanked her hand away quickly and screamed "NARUTO YOU IDIOT WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? YOU KNOW I ONLY LOVE SASUKE!" She got up and stormed off and leaving a stunned and hurt Naruto. He started crying while the beast inside was making the worst out of it.
"I told you she wouldn't like you. You should just let me out of the cage. I can end her so she can't hurt you again." Kyuubi said with a grin. He knew Naruto was vulnerable when he was upset and crying. "L-leave me alone you fox!" Naruto said to out loud. Kyuubi snarled then sensed a certain lavender eyed girl. Naruto got pissed, "All you ever do is tempt me to release you! You never help me! Did you ever think that if I die you die too?" Kyuubi could feel Naruto start to use his chakra and get mad. Kyuubi started grinning. This was a very good thing for Kyuubi. If Naruto lost control and let Kyuubi's chakra take over, Kyuubi could easily take over and control Naruto's body. "No one ever wants to help me!" Naruto screamed as his voice turned demonic while a cloak of red chakra surrounded him and a tail of chakra formed.

Meanwhile in the bushes crouched a beautiful lavender eyed girl. "Oh Naruto-kun, only if you realized how much you mean to me..." Hinata whispered to herself. She had been following them since the restaurant.

Outside on the monument, Naruto was getting more pissed and depressed. The cloak of chakra became thicker and a second tail formed. Kyuubi grinned, this was his chance. Naruto was so mad he started punching the ground until his knuckles bled. This somewhat calmed him, until the second tail shrunk and the cloak went away. All that was left was a crying Naruto and dents in the ground.
"I can't do anything right...I'm a failure..." mumbled Naruto as he got up and walked towards the edge of the monument. He leaned forward and slowly let himself fall. He closed his eyes waiting to feel the wind glide past his falling body but it never came. He opened his eyes to find his body leaning over the edge. He stood up and turned around to face what was stopping him and he came face to face with Hinata. She had tears going down her cheeks but had a serious face has she mumbled,
"I'm not letting the person I love the most die like this."
