-Prologue-

It was morning in Zootopia, and while Dr. Luna Elise Wilde would be sleeping after a long shift working at the hospital, she was instead packing up a suitcase. She had just been selected to take part in a foreign exchange program for the hospital. She was going to work at a hospital in Southern France for two months. After finishing packing up her suitcase, she picked up a suitcase meant for small mammals like rabbits. "Hey, Alice," the vixen started to say. "Are you going to help me pack up your clothes for the trip?"

Across the room of her penthouse, Alice Kirabito, Luna's girlfriend, was putting DVD sets of anime in a duffleback. "Yeah, I'll be there in a moment," the white furred doe replied in her French accent. After packing up the bag, she went over to Luna, who was folding up rabbit sized clothes. Luna turned to Alice's bag, who she was holding with her robotic arm, a grim reminder of the Drowned Crisis of 2032.

"What do you have in that bag?"

"Nothing much. Just DVDs of Sailor Moon and other anime."

Luna only giggled. She and the rest of Team Ceartais almost two years ago had rescued Alice from the Yakuza and the two lovers were inseparable. She had invited Alice for the foreign exchange because she didn't want to be away from her for two full months. Oh, and her speaking French is a plus too. "My lovely Otaku girlfriend."

Alice only smiled and said, "Says the vixen with a younger sister who loves Disney Princesses."

After finishing packing, they made their way to Luna's car and began driving to the airport. The traffic from her Penthouse to the airport wasn't too bad, so they made it to the airport 25 minutes before their plane arrived. Waiting there were Luna's family: Judy Wilde, the Police Chief of Precinct One and Luna's stepmother, Nick Wilde, the Mayor of Zootopia and Luna's father, Robyn Wilde-Savage, Luna's little sister, and Hannah Wilde-Savage, Robyn's wife and Luna's sister in law. They had all come to say bye to Luna and Alice as they would be out of the country for two full months. "Hey there, sweetie," said Judy as she gave Luna a hug. "We just wanted to see you before you're off to France." "I can't believe you're going to be there for two months, Lu," said Robyn as she too gave Luna a hug. "Take pictures for me, will you?"

"I will, Robbie," said Luna with a smile. "I'll text you guys as soon as I'm off the plane." After a group hug, Luna and Alice made their way to the plane. Being the rich vixen she was, she had bought two First Class tickets for the two of them. They got into their seats as the plane took off from the airport. Luna was looking out her window to see the metropolis below and then turned to Alice, who was reading manga. Even though this was a business trip, there would still be plenty of time for them to have fun.

Meanwhile, in Southern France, a white rabbit was walking down the street heading home. Upon entering his home, he went into the dining room where three more rabbits were preparing for a meal. "Hello, Hiroshi," said one of the rabbits in a sad voice, translated from French. "Glad you could join us. I made us a carrot casserole." "I'm not hungry, Marie," said Hiroshi, also in French but with a East Asian twist to it. "You knew that was her favorite dish."

"Papa," said the other rabbit in French, who was fixing himself a plate. "You haven't been getting into trouble again, have you?"

"What if I have, Akihiro? She could still be out there."

"Honey, you know that the authorities have said that she died years ago," said Marie, who was getting teary eyed. "Please just drop this and accept that our little girl is gone."

"I haven't believed it then and I don't believe it now. I promised myself that I would not rest until I figure out the truth..."
