Luna, Draco, wedding

The Wedding

They entered the boutique and sat down on the generous couch. The lady filled their glasses with champagne. Ginny, Luna, and Hermione each took a glass and toasted. Mrs. Malfoy sneered at them whereas Mr. Malfoy didn't move an inch. The older wizard tried his best to look like he had nothing to do with the witches.

"We're so excited," Ginny said, "I can't wait to see the dress."

"It's just a piece of clothing," Hermione said.

"You're so unromantic. I've been dreaming of a sparkling princess dress for my entire life," Ginny said while Luna went into the dressing room.

"I thought you always hated being the little princess?" Hermione asked.

"That's different," the red-haired hissed.

They all went immediately silent when Luna returned. The blonde witch stepped onto the small pedestal and all eyes were on her. She was wearing a long mermaid-cut dress. The upper part was covered with silver scales. She didn't show any cleavage and her shoulders were covered by short sleeves. There was a cut-out at the side. The lower part of the dress was made out of layered silk with a train.

Luna was smiling broadly. Hermione didn't know what to think of the dress. She had always expected something different form Luna.

"It's Alexander McQueen with Givenchy," the lady said assuming that the people gathered in the small boutique would understand what she was talking about.

"It is utterly horrible," Narcissa said. "It looks like a wild animal attacked her and tore a piece out."

Mr. Malfoy discreetly called the lady and handed her a 15.000 Pound check. "I have already paid for it," he said to his wife.

Narcissa glared at him.

"I fail to see the problem. If the public shames our newest addition to the family for the dress we could still blame the muggle designer."

Hermione giggled which earned her glares from both Ginny and Narcissa.

Since Luna was happy with the dress there was nothing to discuss.

On the day of the wedding, they all gathered at Malfoy Manor. The ceremony took place on the vast grounds. The chairs were covered with a white cloth, potted roses lined the aisle. Most of the witches were having a hard time walking over the green grass with their high heels.

Hermione stood next to Ginny at the bride's side of the altar. They watched the groom.

Draco stood nervously in front of the alter fidgeting with his tie. "Leave it," Mr. Malfoy said, fixing his son's tie one last time. "You look splendid, your bride will be very pleased with you."

"What if I forget something like my text or I stammer? It has to be perfect you only marry once."

"About that…"

"Father? You and Mother love each other."

"Sure, now it is time to marry you off."

The music started to play and Luna and Xenophilius came into view. Her father guided her to the altar. Narcissa wrinkled her nose as she saw Luna's dad was being barefoot.

For a brief moment, Draco looked terrified. He looked at his father who encouragingly nodded.

Luna came closer and closer.

"I still don't get why she choose a dress like this," Hermione said to Ginny.

"Because it's her wedding day. This is her once in a lifetime chance to wear something different, something special. If she would wear the same stile she always wears, she could have picked something from her closet and needn't had bought an expensive dress."

Hermione nodded.

Luna was standing in front of her groom. He looked at her not being able to say a word.

"Do you like it?" she asked.

He nodded.

They spoke their vows and exchanged their rings with shaking hands.

"I love you," Draco whispered.

"I love you too."
