Age 13
Running down the ally, I jumped over the trashcan, taking it down with me in the process. Climbing onto a few boxes, I jumped up and grabbed the ladder to the fire escape. Pulling myself up, I started climbing up the ladder, kicking the boxes down in the process. Reaching the fire escape, I looked down and saw the men in black suits looking up at me, with me giving them a two finger salute and started running up the stairs.
Reaching the top of the building, I started running across the rooftop, only to get knocked down by something. Hitting the ground, I gasped for air as it had knocked the wind out of me. Looking up, I saw a bow and arrow aimed at me. "This is Hawkeye, I got him." He said, with me looking down at the bow string. "Don't even think about trying to escape." He said, with me looking back up at him.
Grabbing a knife that was in his boot, I cut the bow string and watched as it smacked him in the face. Kicking him back, I rolled away and started running away. Running across the roof, I got closer and closer to the edge. Jumping onto the edge, I put all my strength into my legs and jumped.
Reaching out for the next roof, I caught the edge, with my grip loosening. Seeing the same man jump across the roof, he made it and grabbed my arm before I could fall. Looking down, I saw that I would of became a stain on the ground with how high up I was. Looking up at the man, I saw him glaring at me, but there was something else there, something I had never seen before.
Four years later, Age 17
"Your mission is to investigate and keep the civilians from harm." Director Fury said, with me standing at attention. "Its not everyday that red beams blow up buildings, you are to investigate on who blew up the building, and to assest what is going on. Any harm that comes to civilians, you are to protect them at all cost. If you get captured, you have nothing to do with S.H.I.E.L.D." He said, with me saluting him. "You're dismissed." He said, with me grabbing my bag and making my way over to the jet, where it would fly me across the country.
Two days later
Originally, I had planed to walk around to investigate. That was the plan, yet Director Fury had in rolled me in school so that I could learn more about the kids and try to seem normal enough. There was one thing I didn't like about school. There were always idiots there who loved to try to pick fights. The bus came to a stop, and I was now at school. I could see kids running, tossing a football, and talking to themselves. Getting off the bus, I stepped aside and looked around to see if I could find anything out of the ordinary, just like I was trained to do. I focused on the kids around me, with them looking away to talk to them selves. No doubt that they were talking to each other about the new kid.
The bell rang, meaning classes had started.
I wore a black shirt with an arrow on the chest, aiming up, with a leather brown coat. On my shirt was a pair of sunglasses, tented. My hands had a pair of fingerless gloves. A simple pair of jeans with a brown belt. My hair was short, almost a military cut.
Walking into the school, I walked into the hallway, seeing everyone running into there classes. Looking up, I saw a sign that said that the office was down to the left, with me walking in that direction. As I walked, I ended up spotting another student. He was a tall, 6Ft, and had a lean frame. He was very masculine shaped with a V-shaped torso, broad shoulders, square jaw, and clearly defined muscles. He had a clean-cut brown hair wearing a blue sweater over a pale yellow shirt, tan pants with a brown belt and light brown shoes and, of course, red glasses. Seeing him stop, I continued on past him, not wanting to draw attention to my self.
"Hey, you need any help?" He asked, with me looking back at him. I shook my head and was about to continue on my way. "You're new right?" He asked, with me nodding again. "Are you looking for a specific class or are you looking for the office?" He questioned, with me shaking my head at him.
"No, I'm on my way to the office to get my schedule." I said, crossing my arms as I got annoyed with him.
He smiled at me. "So he dose talk." He said, with me narrowing my eyes at him. "Follow me, I'll show you where its at." He said, leading the way. "So, what brings you here?" He asked, with me looking down.
"I was kicked out of my old school on grounds of fighting." I said, with him raising an eyebrow at me.
"Fighting, were you kicked out or expelled?" He asked, with me looking at him.
"Kicked out, there are a lot of idiots there, hopefully this school is better." I said, when in truth I didn't care.
We talked about how our schools were, with him agreeing that the school I went to was pretty bad, even saying that he feels sorry for anyone who goes there. I only talked as to give my self a background, because it was at that moment that I had learned that I wasn't given one by Director Fury. Once we reached the door to the office, I looked at him. "Thank you, its appreciated." I said, holding my hand out to him, with him taking it.
"If you need any help finding your classes, just find me." He said just as I closed the door. Walking over to a set of chairs, I took a seat and waited.
"That was annoying." I said to my self, as I placed my backpack down beside me. I heard yelling, but I couldn't tell what it was, just that it was far and so I chose to ignore it.
"Dakota." The principal, Ms. Darkholme, greeted as she entered the office. She made her way past me as I stood up, grabbing my bag. "In my office!" She demanded, with me nodding as she opened the door and let me through, keeping her eyes on me. I took a quick look at her, seeing her fierce glair. "Sit!" She said, with me doing so. Her tone making my blood feel ice cold. "Now, welcome to your new school." Ms. Darkholme said, taking a seat behind her desk.
Later
I went to find Mr. McCoy, for he was my third period class. I asked some of the students for directions, but everyone gave me different directions so I kept on getting lost. I finally found Scott outside of the gym. He saw me and waved, with me walking up to him. "Hey, gym your next class?" He asked, but I shook my head at him, and I could see that he was studying me carefully.
"No, its 's." I said, with him smiling at me and pointed down the hall.
"His class is at the end of the hall, to the right." Scott said as I looked down the hall that he pointed.
"Thanks again, I'll try to find a way to repay you." I replied with a nod.
"Sit with us at lunch, that's how you can repay me." He said, with me smirking at him.
"I'll do that." I told Scott, before walking into a crowd of students. He just might be the guy I get all my information from.
Later Class
"McCoy's room." I said as I walked in, seeing the teacher was messing with his computer, meaning he was getting the assignment ready or was doing grades. I walked to the back of the classroom where there was an empty seat to the window, and giving me a good view of the rest of the class.
I plopped myself down, and I could feel some stares from the other students. After five minutes the bell rang, and Mr. McCoy stood up and started looking around. He started explaining something about Chemical reactions, but I had learned this from the training I had gotten from Clint and Director Fury. He glanced over to me, with me nodding to him. He frowned, where he then went back to class. watched as he explained the lesson to the others, with me observing everyone in the class. Seeing the others getting ready for the class, I took out my book for the class and started working on what he wanted us to work on.
Halfway through the lesson, I felt a tap on my right shoulder. glancing over, found McCoy looking at me with a smile. "So, you going to introduce your self?" Mouthed Mr. McCoy, crossing his arms.
"Dakota." I introduced as he took out a pin from his pocket and gave me a check on my paper. I realized that it was due to him looking over my work, and seeing as how fast he did it, he had to of been a genius. He immediately placed his pin back and nodded. He seemed cool with the aura he was giving, but there was more to him that he was letting on.
"Keep up the good work." Mr. McCoy said with pride.
Later, Lunch
I sat down at a empty table with a school tray, but I could swear that the ham was blue and moving. I had poked it once and the juice that came out of it was nearly enough to make me barf. Scott sat down across from me with his lunch tray.
"What is this?" I asked, pushing it away.
He smiled at that, just taking the apple. "I don't even want to know." He said, pushing his tray away from as well.
"Seriously? They make us pay five dollars for this?" I said, taking my apple and eating that, and even then it didn't taste good. "I'm going to start making my own lunch, this is disgusting." I said, putting the apple onto the tray
"Hey!" I heard someone say, sitting next to Scott. "Zee names Kurt!" The now named Kurt said with a wave. He was a light-skinned teenage boy. He has blueish black hair with dark eyes.
"Dakota, you're German?" I asked, with Kurt nodding his head.
Suddenly, Scotts face hardened and began to glare at someone behind me. I looked behind me at the person responsible for the look. He had the physical build of a normal human who engages in moderately-high physical exercise. He has blond hair and green eyes. He was wearing his letterman jacket covering a white T-shirt and jeans which are held up with a black/dark brown belt.
"So buddy, I figured that we would introduce ourselves. Hi my name's Duncan, and I run this school." He said, forcing a smile but his eyes told it all as he sat next to me wrapping his arm around me.
"Take your hand off me." I said, looking from his hand, to him, making him glair. He went to wrap his arm around my neck, but I grabbed his arm and over powered him. I had gotten up and tossed him over to the trash, with him knocking them over. Seeing his buddy's jump in, I started tossing them around, never throwing a punch, just knocking them around.
Seeing that they had given up, they looked at me in shock. "Idiots." I commented as they started leaving.
"Dude, where did you learn that?" Kurt asked as he walked over to me with Scott.
"My old school was worse than this, I picked up a few things here or there." I said, fixing my coat as I turned towards Duncan, seeing that he was gone as well.
"Ya, you mentioned that." Scott said, with me knowing that he was suspicious.
"Ya, that's right, I mentioned that to you, didn't I. Anyways, I'm going to my next class as this isn't the kind of lunch I want." I said, grabbing my bag and started walking away.
Later that day
'Two high speeding motorcycles, and the police don't even know about it.' I thought, running from rooftop to roof top, following them. seeing them pull into a parking garage, I watched them start a fight, with me seeing that one of them was dressed strangely. Hitting my ear, I pulled out my bow and arrow and took aim.
"Fury, your on." Director Fury said, with me aiming at them.
"Sir, I have a strange looking man assaulting another person. The first one looks to be in orange and black while the other one looks to have, what I can tell, sharp finger nails." I said, with me catching a glimpse of the other mans hands. "First man has knives in his hands, three each, holding them between each finger." I said, getting ready to take him out.
"Hold your fire!" Fury ordered, stopping me. "That there is Logan, AKA, The Wolverine. Under no circumstance, are you allowed to make contact with him." He said, with me taking aim at the other man. "The other one is game." He said, with me nodding.
Letting the arrow loose, I watched as it stabbed the man in the back, followed by a loud yell, like a lions roar. Seeing him look at me, I saw the arrow had gone through him chest. Seeing him breaking it, he pulled the arrow out of his back. I watched as he started running over to the edge, with me making a retreat.
"Sir, I'm compromised!" I said, running to the edge of the building. Taking out another arrow, I placed it in the bow and looked back, with me seeing the man climbing over and running over to me. Taking aim at him, I jumped back, with me seeing him jumping at me. Seeing him falling after me, I shot the arrow, with me seeing it hit the buildings edge. Placing my hand on my side, I equiped the rope to me and swung to the side, with me moving out of the way the man.
Swinging into a parking garage, I rolled on the ground and took aim with me seeing the man getting tackled by Wolverine, landing on the same floor as me. Running back, I pulled out another arrow and fired it at them, with it hitting the ground under the savage man, freezing it. I watched as the man fell through, with me looking at The Wolverine. Pulling out another arrow, I got ready to attack him, but he jumped down and started fighting the man again.
Running over to the stairs, I jumped down and exited to the next floor, with me taking aim at the man as he pushed a car into The Wolverine, pinning him to a pillar. "One shall fall by the others hand." He said, shoving it further. "Its our destiny, we cant change it!" He said, glaring at him.
Wolverine pushed back against the car, losing. "I didn't know that you went for that...philosophy mumbo jumbo!" He said, not giving up in his fight. Shooting my arrow, the man backhanded it, shocking me as he took an explosion to his hand and healed moments later.
"Hey hair ball!" I heard Scott, where I then looked at him, only for my eyes to widen. Scott was in a dark navy blue bodysuit. Gold platelets with the "X" logo are on both of his shoulders, while a gold X-shaped platelet goes around his chest area. He also had a gold visor in place of his glasses, while small gold platelets protect his knee and shin areas. Matching gold combat boots are worn for shoes with gold gloves worn on both hands. Next to him was a blue demon thing. He had a physical mutation, blue colored fur covering his body, two-toed feet and three-fingered hands, yellow eyes, pointed ears, fang-like canine teeth, and a prehensile tail. "I got your destiny right here!" He said, shooting a red laser from him visor, knocking the bigger man away.
The blue demon teleported at the bigger man, only to do nothing as he was knocked back, landing next to me. "Typical." He muttered in a German accent as took cover behind a pillar to hide from them, seeing the bigger man walking over to him. I watched as the bigger man was tackled into the elevator by The Wolverine, where I watched him get kicked out and the doors closed.
I watched as the man grew claws from his hands and attacked the elevator, where I took this as my moment to leave. Running across the parking lot, I pulled out an arrow and shot up, with me getting pulled up and away from them.
Later
"Director Fury, I have found the one responsible for the building explosion." I said, using my phone to send him pictures of Scott that I had taken through out the day. "His name is Scott Summers, a student of Bayville high and a member of the Xavier Kids. He fires, what I can guess, is an optic blast from his eyes. He isn't the only one, as another kid, Kurt Wagner, has the power to turn into a demon and teleport." I said, with him looking over my research.
"What you have discovered is what we calls mutants. They are dangerous, but with Charles Xavier's guidance, they can learn to control their powers." He said, with more files popping up on screen. "Earlier today, there was another incident, this one involving a mutant boy and girl. The girl, Kitty Pride, was picked up by Xavier and has the power to phase through anything. The Boy, Lance Alvers, has the power to make earthquakes, only he joined a group called the Brotherhood, and will be joining your school soon." He said, with me seeing another one, Todd Tolansky, having the powers of a toad and a mysterious figured connected to other mysterious figures.
"What are my orders?" I asked, placing my hands behind my back.
"Watch over the Brotherhood and made sure that they don't cause any problems. Dismissed." Director Fury said, with me saluting him as he hung up.
