The First Tsuguko

In a large manor owned by a wealthy but fragile family, a young boy spoke to a swordsman wearing a Tengu Mask.

'I have a final task for you before I grant you your retirement to become a Cultivator, Sakonji.' he said kindly to the elderly swordsman kneeling before him.

'Sir.'

'In a shinobi village, Konoha...I have foreseen a sad little girl. She was just born, yet destined for a cruel fate.' this young man, Ubuyashiki Kagaya spoke. 'The strongest of the chakra demons, Kurama was forcibly extracted from his previous prison, the mother Uzumaki Kushina at her weakest...during childbirth.' he said. 'Many people died from the toxic effects of its power or fell ill if they're lucky, and this little girl's parents sacrificed themselves to save both their child and the village from Uchiha Obito, posing as Uchiha Madara. Namikaze Minato's last wish would be grossly dishonored that his daughter be seen as a hero...and she would grow up in cruelty and suffering no child deserved.'

'If she wasn't rescued in time, I have foreseen that she will meet HIM at age 7, when she fled to a slum area.' Kagaya continued. 'He sensed her potential and should they meet at her most vulnerable...not even we can stop her, nevermind stopping our ancient enemy...and when he sees that she is more powerful than he, he will devour her for her power and that would be even worse, taking advantage of her loyalty. A demon worse than ever will be born.' he said gravely.

'I'll tell you the full details when you return...just as how the full details of your mission is in this scroll.' he gave Sakonji a scroll. 'The promised date is October 10, at midnight. So you must do the rest before that time.'

Urokodaji Sakonji left for his final task.

He looked at his scroll for his mission guidelines.

Steal the following:

- Body Training for Females at a certain location
- Chakra Training Books 1 and 2
- Obtain the knowledge of the following techniques
- Obtain all scrolls and books Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina owned and how to get them for Naruko's sake at October 10 during the day
- After the sealing, wait until Naruko is placed in an orphanage, and steal her away afterwards
- Obtain information about the Sharingan in a specified location

Those were his tasks.

Years later...

Naruko grew up in the Estate, raised by Kagaya before he married his wife Amane two years later.

And obtaining training methods they didn't have before strengthened the current generation as well. But Kagaya restricted what the organization is allowed to learn based on the enemies' abilities and eschewed all else. But the Pillars have a privilege to create and use ninjutsu as well as those ranked Kinoe, and Naruko due to her situation. Lower than Kinoe are not allowed to make them focus on training their bodies, physical abilities and swordsmanship pushed to limits. And Cultivators responsible for raising future Slayers were strictly instructed based on what Kagaya sees to maintain their edge.

Naruko was thus, the foster adoptive sister of their children...the twins Hinaki and Nichika, followed by their first son(and the only brunette) Kiriya two years later, then two more twin daughters Kuina and Kanata.

All were raised to live as adults, due to the cruel burden they carried that they have no idea what childhood should even be. Not even their father knows what that was, that Amane wept because they have no idea how to be proper kids as she herself had such wonderful experience of having friends and playing games or going out to play, but due to her husband and childrens' duty as Ubuyashiki, her husband has no clue considering he was raised as an adult on the get-go, but understood why from his own parents.

Naruko also learned the truth about herself from her foster father who valued honesty as lies and misinformation cause unneeded trouble.

Learning about her clan, her parents, what she was, and why she was taken.

She consoled herself that she was lucky that even strangers cared for her when her own hometown wouldn't, and dishonored her parents' will.

Unlike the organization Kissatsutai, she has her own personal enemy...Uchiha Obito and the one behind him, the being called Zetsu.

She has all the tools and knowledge she needed as her foster father foresaw the future, and knows how to get herself grilled accordingly. She felt she can only TRULY live if her main enemies are DEAD.

Right now, at age 12...she wears her hair in a hime-style haircut with cheek-length fringes, a blue yukata under a sleeveless haori she wore like a jumper secured by a thin obi. On her feet were tabi socks, as she left her sandals outside. Like her siblings, she wore zakuro hairpins on both sides of her head as opposed to their just one on one side to tell them apart.

'Naruko, I have a task only you can do.' Kagaya told Naruko.

'What is it, father?' Naruko asked Kagaya while sitting in seiza before him.

'It's currently the Chuunin Exams in Konoha...but there is a catch, unfortunately.' Kagaya told her. 'Unknown to Konoha, Chuunin Exams are a great excuse for Otogakure and Sunagakure to invade and destroy Konoha.' Naruko twitched. 'I know you don't care for people who would cause you pain but you have a target there...your fellow Jinchuuriki, Sabaku no Gaara.'

'Kill or bring him here?' Naruko asked, all attention on her ill father.

'I want you to soothe his heart...for only a Jinchuuriki can comfort a fellow Jinchuuriki.' said Kagaya. 'I could have chosen to save him like how I saved you...but his seal was intentionally flawed by his father and village elders...and I cannot bring such danger to us.' he sighed, giving her a scroll. 'He suffered as you would have, had I not interfered. But unlike you, he never met our enemy.'

'Oh...then, when my destiny was changed, who potentially took my place?' Naruko asked nervously. She would have willingly become the very thing she was accused out of desperation as her father foresaw when their fated enemy offered her a choice.

'None...you were the only one who appealed enough.' Kagaya reassured her. 'He targets people who are at the brink of despair, broken beyond broken for easy manipulation and made to serve him with unquestioning loyalty.' that was to Naruko's relief. She was problem-1 and there's potential people could replace her when her future was defied!

'Phew...'

'Your mission is to soothe Sabaku no Gaara, and make him be a force of good, for humanity's sake.' Kagaya told her. 'Be on your way, daughter.'

'Yes, father.' and Naruko left for her job. "Ugggh, I never thought I'd be asked to go to Konoha...but any ally we need, we have to get, I guess..." she thought.

Kissatsutai.

It is an organization that has existed since ancient times, dedicating its existence to protecting humanity from Demons.

There are hundreds of Demon Slayers within the organization, but they aren't officially recognized by any government in the world. They are a shadow organization who moves at night as their quarry only come out at night.

Once a Demon Slayer has fully settled into the organization after passing the Final Selection, they are classified as a member of the lowest rank: Mizunoto. They must complete a variety of missions to ultimately climb the ranks and reach the highest Demon Slayer position: Kinoe. And even then, very few obtain Hashira status!

They are created and led by the Ubuyashiki Clan since ancient times. An extremely wealthy family due to their abilities, but cursed in turn as their fated enemy was born from the family, thus it is their duty to kill him to free the Ubuyashiki from their curse no matter the cost. That was something only the family children know, not the organization.

Naturally, they're paid every month. What idiot will work for free?

Kinoe are paid 800.000.

Kinoto are paid 600.000.

Hinoe are paid 560.000.

Hinoto are paid 500.000.

Tsuchinoe are paid 460.000.

Tsuchinoto are paid 400.000.

Kanoe are paid 360.000.

Kanoto are paid 300.000.

Mizunoe are paid 260.000.

And Mizunoto are paid 200.000.

The cream of the crop, the Hashira are paid as much as they want on the other hand! Well, the better you do the more you're paid after all.

And Hashiras have a special duty concerning her incase she went batshit nuts(read: overtaken by Kyuubi). Kagaya has foreseen the seal Jiraiya would make on her, he made tons of it and they are to slap seals on her to calm her down. Her teacher also possessed such seals as does the family.

And that 200.000 ryo a Mizunoto gets were about as much as what a shinobi's B-Rank Mission gets at maximum!

Yup, she was better off here. Shinobi are dang cheap and disproportionate in paying unlike father does...father pays based on difficulty while shinobi rely on their feudal lords who pay so cheaply even though the tasks were tough. Yuck.

And she's not even a Mizunoto herself yet so her current status as an apprentice makes her pay cheap.

Apprentices gets 50.000 ryo allowance a month. And they all become Mizunotos at age fifteen, if they survive the Final Selection.

Naruko is currently apprenticed to the man who took her away as a baby, Sakonji whom she regards as grandpa starting at ten years old, after years of living with her foster family. It was rather hard transitioning from living in a wealthy house to a small hut though! That, and considering her style, she was the successor of Tomioka Giyu, should anything happen to him as the Mizubashira. So she was in contact with him too, but her upbringing was mostly in Sakonji's hands.

And given the ninja knowledge they gained, the quick turnovers of the past...changed drastically. And the current generation of Hashiras were stronger than last time's but even then, they have yet to meet the Juunikizuki and their fated enemy himself, Muzan Kibutsuji.

But now, so many stuff to do, so little time.
