Ochako gulped. She was surrounded by people. Two little kids —twins— started talking now that everyone was silent.

How did she get into this situation? Well...

"Maybe I should go," Ochako said nervously, floating in her nervousness. "Yeah! You guys, I'm going to sleep okay? We can... Talk tommorow.."

"Oh, come on!"

"Ocha-chan, you just don't want to admit you like Midoriya."

Ochako slowly urged her body down, but furrowed her brow. 'I don't. Deku is my friend.'

"See you later!" Ochako smiled, making her way to the elevator. 'First stop, bathhouses.' Ochako sighed. Everyone thinks she likes Deku, but they're wrong. Sure, Deku has some qualities of her 'type,' but Ochako is a picky person. He needs to be her exact type. Maybe it's odd, but as attracted she may be to Deku right now, she knows in her gut it will never last.

Turning on the shower, Ochako began removing her tank top. She frowned lightly. 'Besides, I know how Deku looks at Todoroki-san.' Ochako sat on the stool and using her favorite body wash, she scrubbed the grime of today's training away. Stamina training was a bitch. But, even though she hates it so much, Ochako has pretty good stamina.

'Plus, Bakugo likes Deku too, no matter how much he looks like he hates him. Bakugo has approached me many times to give something to Deku for him, secretly or not.' Ochako finally dumped the bucket of water on her, shivering slightly. She took so long thinking the buckets water got cold.

Ochako sank into the hot water of the large bath. With a sigh she turned her attention to the ceiling. 'Maybe that's why I never tried to be anything more than friends with Deku.'

When Ochako was pruney she slipped out of the tub. She wasn't in any hurry, so she lay on her towel to dry off in the bathhouse. She put on her shorts and shirt on, making her way to her room. 'Thats right, there's a festival soon. I should try out some haori's and Kimono's.

In her room, Ochako tried on all the kimono's and haori's she owned, as well as the ones U.A. provided, when she found a kimono and a haori she could not choose between.

The kimono was a lavender purple color, and it was embroidered with wisteria blossoms that drifted throughout the cloth, gathering at the end and the edge of the sleeves. The haori was black and had wisteria branches embroidered on the shoulders, with the tree on the back. The front had the petals gathered at the bottom, as if the winds died down and was no longer tearing the petals from the branches.

Trying it on, Ochako decided to go for white stockings and the sandles Gunhead gifted her with(the picture)They were regular sandles, but on the bottom was a blade with bells attached. It made cute noises Everytime Ochako walked, so she matched it with bell earrings.

Ochako decided to go downstairs for the others girls' opinions on her outfit, and was making her way down the hall to show them when a warp gate without the smoke opened up. Alarms immediately blared, and Bakugo, who was on the same floor as her immediately was looking out to the hall.

So he was the only one who saw Ochako fall through the gate, a horrified expression on her face.

Ochako cracked open her eyes to see the ground rapidly approaching, much to her ever growing horror. She squeaked and lost all gravity, hovering just inches from the ground. 'If it were anyone but me, they'd be dead!'

She slowly urged her body down, so she could take a look at her surroundings. She admits, the kimono she chose doubled as a battle kimono, but it was still impractical for outdoors. Especially with her bladed sandles. She didn't get dirty, but her haori did get a bit of dust on it.

Ochako groaned lightly, sitting up slowly. Even though she was sure she didn't hurt anything, she still was cautious.

"Hey, are you okay? Did you trip?" A kind voice called out, accompanying the sound of pounding footsteps.

"Ah, yeah... Clumsy me.." Ochako forced a laugh. She noticed a calloused hand reached out in front of her. She slipped her small hand in it, and got to her feet, suddenly glad she practiced tons of times with these sandles so she doesn't fall or stumble while running or walking.

She looked up at the owner of the hand and had to force her cheeks from going pinker than they already were.

This person was literally perfect.

Messy red hair pushed away from his forehead, a scar on his forehead, earrings, a kind smile, round eyes, and a strong build?

Yes.

"Ah, my name is Ururaka Ochako. You can call me Ochako." She managed to keep the stutter out of her voice. "Want to walk with me?"

He smiled. Oh, Kami, literally sunshine. "Kamado Tanjiro! Sure, I'd love to walk with you. I didn't think you would be the type to take the Final Selection, but I guess looks are deceiving." He looked so happy to find a comrade in whatever the final selection, Ochako didn't have the heart to tell him she had no clue what that was. He looked at her haori. "Wisteria, huh?"

She looked at his haori. "Clouds, huh?" She quipped back.

Tanjiro spluttered. "No, I didn't mean anything bad—!"

Ochako smiled lightly. "Neither did I."

After a moment of comfortable silence, with only the sound of the bells ringing from every step Ochako took, Tanjiro noticed something. "Hey, where is your blade?"

Ochako looked at him in confusion. She noted the sword at his side, and deduced the Final selection had something to do with blades. Once again thanking Gunhead for the sandles and now the kicking lessons, Ochako pointed to her feet, where the bells jingled.

Still looking confused, Tanjiro tilted his head. Ochako raised her eyebrows. She took one of her sandles off, presenting the backside to him. On the bottom of the sandles was a blade, about 5 inches tall. Tanjiro took a a sharp breath a looked behind them at her footsteps, noting they were all a single line. About two inches from the sharp part of it, the blade opened in a circle where the bell was attached.

"Woah..." Tanjiro breathed, as Ochako put her sandles back on. "Does that mean you kick demons' heads off? That sounds cool.."

Ochako greedily sucked up the information, commiting it to memory. Demons.. Are they like villains, or worse? She was saved from having to answer because many wisteria trees came in view. "Wow..."

"Hey," Ochako ran forward a little, missing Tanjiro's odd look seeing her run on blades. "Look, look, Tanjiro-kun! I match!"

"That you do," he laughed.

She waited for him to catch up, thinking carefully if she should answer to his question.

She decided not to to when they reached the top of the stairs(she groaned loudly when she saw them at the beginning, earning an amused laugh from Tanjiro), falling silent at all the hostile looks the others were giving one another. Tanjiro noticed her silence and after a heated debate with himself, he slipped his hand into hers, squeezing lightly to provide comfort.

She squeezed back in thanks, offering him a small smile which he returned immediately.

As soon as they arrived, and stopped moving, the twins spoke up. The black haired one went first.

"Greetings everyone," He said. "Thank you all for joining the final selection tonight. There are a lot of demons held captive on this mountain, brought back by demon killing swordsmen. They are unable to leave."

The white haired twin spoke up. "Because from the mountain foot halfway up, the mountain is covered in demon repelling wisteria that blooms all year long."

" However," the black haired twin spoke again. "From here on out, there will be no more wisteria. Only demons. If you can survive here for seven days.. "

"Then you pass the final selection." The white haired twin followed. "Now let the final selection begin."

With those words, all the demon Slayer hopefuls jumped into the trees. Tanjiro tried to pull Ochako along, but she didn't budge. He turned back to tell her to go, but she was looking at the twins.

She slipped her hand from Tanjiro's, missing his slightly hurt look, and made her way to the twins. "Hello."

They looked at her. "Hello. Do you have any questions about the test? "

Tanjiro's eyes widened. He didn't know they could do this!

"Yes, I do. To survive out there, at the end of the week so we come back here? "

" Yes."

" Then technically we can stay here for the week." She said, still intending it to be a question.

The twins nodded. "Yes, it is possible, but it isn't recommend. You can have demon slaying practice in there, and that will show if you are worthy in the first place."

Ochako nodded, taking in this information. " I see. Then can I take a tree for extra protection when Tanjiro and I need sleep? Or when I need sleep, I may pass out a couple times, not gonna lie."

The twins looked confused. " Take a tree?"

"Or a branch? "

Ochako gained a mischievous look in her eye. "A tree."

The white haired twin looked at the black haired one, who looked intrigued. "I want to see that. No, you cannot take a tree, or branch, but you can show me how you were going to do so."

Ochako gave a rueful smile. She was happy to demonstrate, but she wasn't happy she couldn't have the protection. Tanjiro stood next to the twins, watching as Ochako walked up to the nearest tree.

She looked it up and down a couple times, and at the others surrounding it for a bit. She took a deep breath and muttered something. They could see her breath pooling our the sides of her gritted teeth. But then she put both hands on the side and lifted.

She didn't even lift hard, they could all tell that, but the tree groaned, and the roots stretched. Pretty soon, Ochako was holding the tree out in front and over her, with no visible signs of strain. She switched to holding it up with one hand, the other steading her balance as she walked over to them.

"Where should I put it?"

✿Little by little, Ochako is learning about this new world. She decides to look at demons as villains, until she actually sees a demon. Then she has no problem killing them. But she still gets sad when she thinks of how horrible a life the stronger demons have, and she does her best along Tanjiro to make them happier as they die. ✿

✿Ochako has no idea what a breath attack is until she sees Tanjiro doing his. Right then and there, she decided she either wants to learn wind if there is one, or make up some bullshit gravity breath, and gradually hone her quirk to the very brink (she's been think of a way to make gravity heavier, instead of just lighter) , and more diverse.✿

✿Bakugo was furious the only thing he could do while Ochako was still there was watch, and he blamed himself all the time for her disappearance. Though he did wonder why she was wearing a kimono and haori. Maybe to show the girls, for the festival?✿
