Prologue: Chaos and Chronos
We are.
The first Thought whispered. They were words created by both Time and Space simultaneously. It was the first realization of existence.
I am Chaos.
I am Chronos.
We are.
Chaos and Chronos moved and danced from one end of infinity to the other, their steps in time with one infinitely slow and infinitely fast beat. Together they simply were. Their domains were infinitely large, in complete disarray, and in a perpetual state of Entropy. It was a blank canvas that needed filling.
We are Nyx.
A beautiful woman slowly took form. She had two pairs of pristine white wings and white raiment that flowed and ebbed into Space. Her hair was bright silver that haloed her head, continuously flowing as if suspended in water, and her eyes glowed a mysterious white light. She had an alabaster complexion, and although she was so bright, she was beautiful to behold. "I am Nyx, the night," Nyx sing-songed with a sweet smile.
We are Erebus.
From the void of Chaos, a nebulous figure appeared. He had no discernable features, only a solid silhouette. He kept losing and readjusting his smoke-like form. "I am Erebus, the darkness," Erebus said with a calm demeanor.
We are Tartarus.
The void took another shape. It looked like another awesome form, but it behaved like a window to a cosmic horror. With each movement or change in angle, his body showed another part of the same ominous, bottomless abyss rimmed with a fiery event horizon. His body showed infinity and singularity in its raw state, like a black hole. His eyes were the epicenter that could consume anything if stared at long enough. "I am Tartarus, the underworld," Tartarus repeated with a self-satisfied smirk.
We are Gaia.
Another female stepped out of the void. She didn't flow or ebb, unlike her more ephemeral siblings. Made of stone, dirt, and sand, her motions were instead like an animated sculpture – careful and graceful. Although somewhat modest in looks, she held herself with immense pride and majesty. "I am Gaia, the world," Gaia huffed conceitedly.
We are Eros.
Last to step from the void was an intangible force. The force gathered and spun into a glowing disk, the beginnings of a star. The spirit was warm, holy, and pure, that induced reverence and awe. It burst and took the form of a man with six golden wings that stretched and engulfed him. But he, unlike Nyx, who was like moonlight, was like a sun. "And I am Eros, the love!" Eros giggled with a flirtatious wink.
Chaos and Chronos' thoughts, words, and existence were then divided and combined into six new creations. All six were Chaos and Chronos and individually Nyx, Erebus, Tartarus, Gaia and Eros at the same time. Together they were a family of beginnings and endings. Every thought their children had was theirs and vice versa. Time and Space ebbed and flowed into domains, dominions, forms, and infinite concepts.
We are pleased.
"We are pleased to meet you!" All six said at the same time. The children of Time and Space all knew each other and have yet to meet each other, but one thing was sure: they shared an unbreakable bond.
"Oh, my dearests," Nyx said smilingly as she looked at her siblings. "It looks like there's a lot of work to be done."
