Celeborn and the wizard looked at the mountain in the distance.
Celeborn pointed and said; "That is mount Gundabad. The Longbeards believe that the first Durin awoke under it many years ago."
The wizard said, "I sense there are Orcs there now. They have come from the cold north. I have watched the evil as it spread along the Grey Mountains."
Celeborn then added, "the Longbeards has moved to the south to Hadhodrond and lost connection to their friends the Ironsfirst and the Stiffbeards, Alatar," using the wizards name in Nandorin.
The two followed the mountains to the south. Almost no men live here as the mountains had been difficult to pass and the journey west had led most people south of the mountain range in many years.
"Only the three tribes friendly of the Avari lived here, but they have all vanished now," Celeborn noticed.
When they came to the old road, they met the other blue wizards.
The wizards greeted each other as the old friends they were.
Alatar said, "this is my old friend and cousin from the west. He has travelled far to the east, but he as me has followed the evil as it moved west."
The wizard said, "I have visited the realms of the Blakclocks and Stonefoots and travelled along the old road, but the pass over the mountains in front of me has been blocked by evil creatures."
Celeborn said, "The giants will strike anyone who passes with rocks. They have been petrified since the victory over the dark lord, but they have come to life again after the last Durin died, Pallando."
Alatar then said, "we need to gather the council again."
Celeborn said, "I know where your friend lives, it is not far from here; a place called Rhosgobel."
The wizards followed Celeborn to the south. He then pointed in the direction of the home of Aiwendil.
"I will take part in any council meeting, but I will alert the lady Galadriel about your gathering."
The wizards then met the brown wizard in his home north of Amon Lanc. To their surprise the white wizard arrived before Galadriel.
"I have been at the Gladden field searching for evidence of the fate of Isildur," he said, "your arrival across the river was noticed to me."
The white wizard did not want to wait for Galadriel. He wanted the blue wizard to return north to investigate the realm of Angmar.
He said, "the north has been hiding creatures of Morgoth from before the rise of Sauron. If they sense the return of the evil they can be awoken."
"What about Olorin, should he not be here too?" Aiwendil asked, "I can ask the servants of Manwe for search for him."
Curunir answered, "you need not to, Olorin is on the other side of the Mountains, helping the Dunedain fight the same enemy."
To Alatar and Pallando, Curunir said, "you two return north and alert me if you find evidence of the creatures from the past."
To Aiwendil, Curunir said,"You stay her, Aiwendil, and watch this hill of Sorcery. Send your eagles to me if the Nazgul there comes out of his hiding,"
"And what task will you undertake?" Alatar asked Curunir.
"I will look for evil across the river" Curunir answered.
Then Galadriel arrived at Rhosgobel, she was surprised that the white wizard had send the two blue wizards away.
"They will not find any creatures of Morgoth, and neither will he. None of them will not enter Middle Earth unless his lieutenant does," Galadriel told the brown wizard.
"but will he return?" the wizards asked.
"I was with Isildur, when he failed, as was Cirdan and Elrond. We all three knew what this would mean for the future of Middle Earth, but when and where was to far for us to tell. However, it is getting closer, Aiwendil and when the time come, we will all be challenged."
When Galadriel left Rhosgobel, she travelled south. She passed Amon Lanc and carefully investigated the hill.
There was nothing on the bare top of the hill, but all traces of the Nandorin had been removed. She knw that deep under the hill were passageways and tomb of the hroa of Nandorins like Oropher, but she did not want to disturb the silence. Instead, she spent a night at the top waiting the enemies to appear, but no one came.
In the morning she went further south and as the night came, she saw light in the distance.
Romendacil and Valacar held a feast to celebrate that the Argonath was finished. The dwarves had left the construction a long time ago, and the progress had been slow ever since.
Among the guests was prince Argeleb of Arnor. He watched the great statues of Isildur and Anarion from the table of the feast were food and wine were served, as the sun sat. He sat next to the King of Gondor.
"I give me great joy that you, the prince of Arnor, is here to witness this moment. I once promised my grabd father that I would finish this dream of his, but war stuck us and it was delayed for many years," Romendacil said.
Argeleb said, "the news of the achievement of king Romendacil has reached the north. I travelled through Cardolan and Calenardhon to be here."
Romendacil said, "did you stop at Angrenost or the tomb of our common ancestor, Elendil the tall?"
Argeleb answered, "I did not, I leave this for my descendants. I am in haste as my home is in peril. I came here to warn you that we both could face a great and determined enemy. The Nazgul that once created fear in the men of Middle Earth have reemerged and they want to harm us by taking the stones from the west."
Romendacil said, "I got the same warning, from the golden elf, when I was fighting in the east."
Argeleb guessed who that would be, "So, Glorfindel is a friend of Gondor as well?"
Romendacil looked at the statues slowly disappearing as the darkness of the night came,
He said, "the glory days are over. Before us are a great struggle, and we cannot avoid this. The stones you mention must bind us together or we will both loose."
Soon after a messenger arrived at the Argonath informing Valacar that his second grandchild has been born in Gondor. Romendacil and Valacar bid Argeleb goodbye and left for the south.
Argeleb travelled back and met Galadriel at the plains of Calenardhon.
"Greetings prince of Arnot," she said to him.
Argeleb did not know who she was.
"I am the mother of Celebrian," she said, "and on my way to see master Elrond and my family in Imladris were you grew up. If you will allow me to travel with you, I will tell you what I know of the dangers approaching you."
Thus, Galadriel and Argeleb travelled to Rivendell, where the son of Argeleb and Araleth lived.
"you are a fully grown man, by now, Son. You shall travel with me the Fornost and your mother. I trust you have received training by master Elrond and his sons?" Argeleb asked his son.
"and his daughter, as Elladan and Elrohir often fights in the north," Arveleg said.
Argeleb said, "I too knew the lady Arwen when I was young, son, and she taught me as well. She do love the Dunedain, and one day we hopefully will be capable of returning this, but for now our duties lay elsewhere. You shall follow me back to Annuminas and your mother."
Galadriel met with Elrond and the grey wizard.
"Amon Lanc has fallen to one of the Nazgul. Even though they have become invisible shadows I know they are there.
Galadriel met Elrond and the grey wizard.
She said, "Curunir wants us the build a force to fight the evil. The people in Tharbad are arming themselves without knowing who the enemy is as no one is telling them what is good and what is evil. You, the serbant of Nienna, know this was not what you were send here for."
The grey wizard answered, "Curunir is a great wizard. He knows that we all eventually will have to pick up arms in the times to come, as you did at the end of the last age. His ways are not similar to mine, but as long as we stay true to those who send us here, we will prevail."
Elrond then said, "I see this; the bond of the three will not be broken, even if the council might be. We will not be corrupted."
The three friends lifted their hands with their ring and showed to each other.
