Giyuu is 29 here, not much changed about his appearance, aside that he grew his hair a bit more and has it loose without the mid ponytail. He's single here, Akira is dead in this story. And we'll have some Rengoku family interactions.

Disclaimer: I do not own Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba, Koyoharu Gotoge owns it. I claim my OC's and plot as my own.

Tomioka Giyuu, Officer of the Demon Slayer Organization for Paranormal Activity, woke up to his twins looking at him and he smiled. "What is it you two, seems like you're even happier than other mornings." the Officer chuckled and patted his son's head.

"We waited for this day to come, Papa! You promised to play all day long! And we already have made a long to-do list!" The twins cheered and their father smiled softly, for once the Demon activity in the large city of Tokyo has decreased a bit, so the busy Officer wasn't needed at the base today and he found it really nice to be it a Saturday where he could spend more time with his beloved children. Many knew of his story, the big handiwork he did in deciding to take in six orphaned children after their parents were killed by the big threat, the Demon everyone in the base had been trying to beat. Kibutsuji Muzan. It was a very tragic sight, seeing the eldest of the siblings trying to calm his siblings and he trying not to cry, he remembered the day he brought the six kids to his home and explained to his beloved wife what he decided to do, the six were treated like if they were Tomioka's, although they kept their surname in honor of their lost parents, which was a common thing to do in Japan, when someone got adopted in another family.

Giyuu had been trying to always be strong and to be there for his children. The death of his wife, Akira still haunted him, but he promised her that he would look and raise their kids, no matter what. Even sometimes he felt incomplete and felt like giving up, but always reminded himself he had nine children to see about and carefore, so he just couldn't give up and leave the kids to their luck. Hearing his youngest adopted son's cry, he got up, patting the twins.

"Go wash up and get ready, I'll call you when breakfast is ready. I need to tend to your brother." He sent the twins to the bathroom to wash up and then he walked over into his youngest son's room, the nursery. He walked over and picked him from little wooden crib, cradling him in arms and gently rocking him.

"Ne, ne, Rokuta-kun. Everything is okay now, son. Papa is here, Papa is here." He soothed and rocked the small infant who just two days ago turned into a year old. The boy was really fragile and prone to get upset easily, so he was treated gently as to not upset him.

"Did you have a bad dream, Rokkun? It is okay, it was only a dream." Giyuu paced with his baby son around for a bit before walked over to the changing table and laying him down, he got some supplies ready and worked on changing his wet diaper from the night. He didn't take much and when done, he deposited the used diaper in the bin close to the table, and redressed the little infant, taking him in arms, smiling when he had stopped crying. "All nice and clean, let's now prepare breakfast, shall we?" he cooed, poking his little button nose and started exiting the nursery with his son in arms. He tied around his back, Rokuta's sling and secured him on his back so he had free hands to work on breakfast. He washed his hands off neatly and took out the pancakes batter, some fruit the boxes of orange juice, milk and cereal box. He hummed and prepared breakfast swiftly, mixing the pancakes batter and pouring into the frying pan, while he served three plates of cereal and some soft mush for the last child who just had two front teeth, he gave baby Rokuta something to teeth over, feeling him whining because his teeth growth was bothering him.

Soon, his eldest daughter, Mizu walked in with Tanjirou and Nezuko. The others, Takeo, Hanako and Shigeru were still in bed, the three were heavy sleepers and always their father had to wake them.

"Ohayo, Papa!" The girls greeted with their usual cheerful and Tanjirou with his big smile. "Tou-san!" Giyuu turned to his kids with a soft, warm smile, just look at them all big and keeping smiling, the wish of Akira when in her deathbed.

Keep smiling, everyone, even in these hard moments... keep doing so...

It nearly brought tears to Giyuu's eyes, when he remembered that sad scene, for a moment his look turned very sad, however not wanting to break that promise to his beloved, kept smiling, glad the kids didn't catch the glimpse of his sad look.

He knew Tanjirou was an example of keeping smiling when one lost a beloved one. He lost both his parents and the wish of his mother was to keep smiling, the Officer was proud of his son, of all his children, he wouldn't change them for something better. He loved them deeply.

"Ohayo, minna. Is Takeo-kun, Hanako-chan and Shigeru-kun still in bed?"

"As usual, Papa,"

"Mizu-chan and Tanjirou-kun, please set the table, I'll go wake your siblings." He instructed swiftly turning the pancakes in the plates, grabbing the bowls of soft rice to his kids and the cups of orange juice to his daughter who proudly took them to the small table. Giyuu picked Rokuta from his sling and carefully sat him on his small chair, patting his head, turning to Nezuko. "Watch over, Rokkun, alright, Nezuko-chan?" at the little girl's nod, the Officer walked upstairs to wake his other children.

Walking over to both Hanako and Shigeru, he gently shook their shoulders. "Hanako-chan, Shigeru-kun, oki." He whispered in their ears and the kids slowly started waking, the first image their father and they both hugged him tightly.

"Ohayo, Papa!"

"Ohayo, o-futaritomo," The Officer hugged his kids back, rubbing their heads. "Breakfast is ready, go down, I'll follow suit after I wake up Takeo-kun." He sent the two their way to the table. Lastly, Giyuu went inside his son's room and shook his shoulder. "Takeo-kun, time to get up. Wake up"

Takeo grunted, but when seeing his father looking down at him with a warm smile, he smiled back. "Ohayo, Chichi-ue."

"Ohayo, Takeo-kun, slept well?"

"Sure did, Chichi-ue," Takeo said, smiling and getting out of bed. He walked to the bathroom to wash up and Giyuu head back downstairs, sitting down with the rest of the children, next to Rokuta's chair so he could feed him.

"Itadakimasu!" Everyone said, before they started eating. It was a nice breakfast as all breakfasts were in the Tomioka household.

"Papa is staying today," Giyuu started, mixing the mush and starting to feed his son, smiling at the contented faces of the children. "As promised, I'll play with all of you, I've been planning to take you to the park where is big to run and just have fun, and we can have a picnic in there for lunch."

"That is awesome Papa! What we have been wanting, having with you!" all of them cheered, it was all nice. Giyuu was a very loved by his kids and he felt just the same when regarding them, he was the only Officer from the rest of the Organization who had plenty of children.

"I'm sure we'll have lots of fun," Giyuu smiled and wiped off Rokuta's face, then took the bottle of orange juice and gave it to him as the baby boy grabbed it in his tiny hands. He loved spending time with them, he never denied them attention, and when he was busy, he still gave them lots of attention. When he had to go out of time with whatever partner he needed to, it was always, his good friend, Rengoku who took care of the kids. The man was very popular amongst the children, for his kind and soft demeanor toward them, he had two kids of his own, Kaen and Hinoko. Mizu secretly liked Kaen and Kaen also did, and the twins enjoyed playing with two-year old little Hinoko who was a year younger than them, she was such a sweet girl and full of merry life.

When everyone else was done eating, Giyuu took the plates of everyone, while leaving some of the kids to watch Rokuta for him. He started washing them and and putting them on their holders, his daughter Mizu walked over to him, shyly trying to tell him something.

"Yes, Mizu-chan?" Her father inquired putting the cleaned dishes inside the cupboard.

"Um...well today is... you know..." the girl still hadn't gotten over her mother's death. Giyuu paused and turned to her, frowning. "I just can't continue pretending Mama dying is something we all should just let go!" she started breaking into tears, as Giyuu quickly embraced her against his chest, rubbing her hair.

"My daughter, no one said Mama's death is something to just let go... you misinterpreted her only requested to us. She wouldn't have wanted you to stay sad, my dear. She meant with keep smiling is, when remembering her, we should do it, smiling." The Officer said softly, holding his daughter close, sighing softly. Times like these, couldn't be avoided, Mizu became insecure and very grieving when her mother died, she was only eight when it happened, two years had went on since Akira's death and she still was so missed and mourned.

"B-but I just can't keep this promise, I want Mama here, I want to hug her to feel her, Papa, I r-really want to!" Mizu wailed and Giyuu just held her close rocking her and doing whatever he could to soothe her, becoming saddened himself. He tried to not break with his little girl, he still was keeping the promise to his wife and he didn't want to break fast, he knew he was the pillar of the house, if that pillar crumbled, the house crumbled with it, so no a good thing to resort to. He sighed softly, picking up his daughter and rocking her, just liked he did when she was a baby and how he rocked Rokuta to sleep or when he was cranky and crying.

"Shh, my daughter, please soothe yourself. Listen, I know it is still hard, I miss Mama just as much you do and everyone else here," he didn't count in Rokuta given he was very young when Akira took care of him, just a baby and babies didn't remember from that young age. "But I promise you it'll be alright, I promise..." he kept his fatherly motions, sometimes it was hard but the Officer managed, all he wanted know was to comfort his girl, he didn't want her to succumb to sorrow as he always reminded himself to never succumb to sorrow.

"Do not succumb to sorrow, darling. Just... keep smiling, something Mama would've wanted you to do, to honor her." Giyuu tried to console his inconsolable daughter with words of wisdom, knowing she held Akira's wishes to her broken little heart even if she let slide a few tears, like now.

Mizu sniffled a bit more in her father's chest as she was craddled by him, she managed to calm down fully, but tears still were trickling. "I'll try to keep smiling for her...Papa..."

Giyuu smiled softly and wiped away her tears with a kiss to her temple. "That's my big girl," he set her down and ruffled her head. Today was Akira's birthday, so after the picnic the family was going to visit the shrine room where her ashes were kept at.

Later on, the family was now exiting home to go to the park, Rokuta was taking his nap so Giyuu had him on his back around his sling, while he was holding Kiyuu and Miyuu's hands, while Tanjirou held Nezuko's hand and Takeo was holding Hanako's hand and Mizu was holding Shigeru's hand, they walked calmly, Tanjirou was carrying the picnic basket on his back while Mizu had other few items in her back. Giyuu had invited his good friend, Rengoku and his children to go with them, which he was coming right into their way.

"Rengoku-san!" The smaller children quickly ran to him as the man knelt down and opening his arms wide, trapping the children, laughing kindly.

"Oi, oi! Look at y'all you became taller since the last time I came to look after you!" Rengoku, being the lovable man he was scooped them all at once, as they squealed and giggled. Giyuu smiled softly, watching his friend having fun with his kids.

"Ohayo gozaimasu, Tomioka-san," Kaen then spoke, holding his baby sister's hand, as she toddled closer.

"Hey there, Kaen-kun, Hinoko-chan." Giyuu ruffled the boy's fiery-colored hair, while kneeling down and patting Hinoko's head with a soft smile.

"Baby!" Hinoko squeaked, pointing at the napping Rokuta.

"This is Rokuta, Hinoko-chan." the Officer turned to his son in a peaceful slumber. Then smiled as Shiawako, his friend's wife showed up. "Shiawako-san."

"Hello, Tomioka-san, it's so good to see you. Thank you for inviting us." The nice woman told him with a bow which Giyuu returned.

"Kaa-san and Tou-san baked a cake, we'll be sharing it." Kaen informed.

"Cake, cake!" Kiyuu and Miyuu cheered, for they both love cake.

The adults chuckled and soon they arrived at the park, where Tanjirou placed the blanket and gingerly set down the basket and Mizu set down the plates, as everyone else sat down. Rengoku sat his toddler daughter on his lap, smiling as the kids gathered around and got their food handed over. Sushi, on'nigiri, omochi, dango, takoyaki and amongst other Japanese plates.

Giyuu handed Rengoku a plate, and another for Shiawako and he sat on seiza, starting to dig in his simmered salmon with daikon, his most favorite plate.

"You seriously love that plate, don't you Tomioka?" Rengoku chuckled and his friend smiled.

"Like you don't have idea..."

Mizu had taken this chance to talk more to Kaen, given the others were in their own business. The boy smiled and talked about everything interesting. The twins, Kiyuu and Miyuu were trying to get Hinoko to eat her soft riceballs, and thus helping Rengoku to get her to eat, she's been quite stubborn about eating.

"Oh Tomioka, I invited my little brother, Senjurou to the picnic, hope it's okay with you,"

"Completely fine, Rengoku. He's very much welcome to come join us," Giyuu saw no problem with it. He placed down his plate and untied Rokuta, sitting him on his lap, feeding him some mushed tuna and mashed potatoes, Rokuta loved eating so he just accepted whatever that was fed to him.

Soon, Senjurou arrived at the picnic and Rengoku waved him over. "Kyoujurou-Nii-san!" he was glad his older brother invited him to a picnic he was growing quite bored at staying home.

"Senjurou-kun! You finally made it here."

"Ji-cha!" Hinoko clapped her hands, seeing her uncle and she was passed over to Senjurou who gingerly took her, holding her close. "Oi, oi, Hinoko-chan, did you eat already?" he pulled out a lollipop from his pocket, the little girl's eyes sparkling in glee. She did ate most of her riceballs, because the Tomioka twins kept encouraging her to do so.

"Adequately. She can have the lollipop," Rengoku allowed his daughter to be given the lollilop since she had already eaten.

"Good boy, Rokkun!" Giyuu praised his son, wiping his mouth and now giving him his bottle of milk.

"Papa, can we go play in the swings?" Nezuko and Hanako hurried over their father with Shigeru coming in.

"Of course, you're done eating, you're free to go." Giyuu nodded to his kids, still feeding Rokuta his bottle of milk.

The two hurried off, giggling merrily. Rengoku and Shiawako were impressive by Giyuu's single-parenting skills, from the very start he became a father, 10 years ago, the man showed he was capable, Rengoku had watched him care for Mizu when she was just a baby when he had brought her to the base, given his wife was at the time with her family and Giyuu offered to watch their daughter for her. And now given the unfortunate case of Akira's passing, he never stopped doing his outstanding job.

Suddenly, a loud thud was heard and Giyuu immediately turned his head to see Shigeru fallen down and errupting into crying, he quickly stood but he still had Rokuta in arms.

"I'll hold the little one for you, Tomioka, go tend your other son!" Rengoku held out his arms and cradled Rokuta while Giyuu zipped past and knelt before his wailing son.

"Paaapaaa, itaiiii!" Shigeru bawled, he had fallen on his knee and it got scrapped by a small glass which was still stuck in there. Giyuu picked up his son carefully and walked over to a bench to tend to his knee, he gently and carefully unstuck the piece of glass from his knee, cleaning it with the disinfectant. Then he wrapped the knee with a bandage, then kissed his son's head.

"It's alright, you're alright, it's just a tiny wound," he comforted his panicked son. "Nothing that Papa can't do to fix stuff." he hushed gently, when a worried Hanako, Nezuko and Takeo hurried over to their father, worrying about their brother.

"Papa, is Shigeru-kun alright? Will he need shots?" Hanako was worrying and the mention of shots made the little boy bawled.

"No, Papa, I dun wanna shots!"

"Ne, ne, ne. Nobody said anything about shots, you're okay. He's okay, kids, no need to frighten him." Giyuu quickly reassured, patting their heads and hugging his son close. Shigeru calmed down after the reassurance and he was led back to the picnic with the others close.

"Nothing serious, just a small cut. That's all," the Officer reassured his fellow Officer and gently sat his son down, smiling when Rokuta burped as Rengoku had already burped him.

"Thank you for handling him, Rengoku."

"No problem at all, your kids are my kids as well!" The smiley Officer smiled. He loved children a lot, so him watching more kids than his own two was like his hobbie.

Giyuu chuckled, he was glad to have a friend like Rengoku.
