It was the end of the day and Adrien was walking towards the school exit with Nino, when he heard Marinette and Luka talking. He stopped and looked over to see her pressed against the wall with his arm next to her head. She looked uncomfortable and it sounded like he was asking her out and she was making every excuse she had.
Nino shook his shoulder, "Dude! What's up with you?"
At that moment Luka had decided to lean in closer, angling his lips to hers, and Adrien snapped.
He marched up behind them, glaring, Luka still oblivious to him while Marinette's bluebell eyes widened with surprise and relief. A red blush coated her cheeks. Adrien hoped it wasn't because of Luka.
"Get away from her." Adrien commanded.
Luka turned around and slid his arm around Marinette's shoulders, fingering her hair.
"And why should I?" He asked, confidence radiating off him in waves.
"Because if you don't get your grimy fingers out of her hair I will break them off."
Out of the corner of his eye he saw a crowd forming but he couldn't bring himself to care. All that mattered was getting that rotten blueberry away from his princess.
"Is that a threat? Because I don't remember hearing that Mari is taken."
"She definitely is."
"Oh by who." Luka scoffed.
"Me." Adrien said without missing a beat.
Mari squeaked. Her face turned the same shade as Nathaniel's hair.
"Prove it."
Adrien strode up to them, giving Mari a reassuring smile. He pushed Luka away, hard, then brought his lips to her ear, "Trust me." He whispered. Then he met her mouth with his, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close.
She didn't move for a moment, then slowly, slowly she began to kiss him back and run her fingers through his golden curls. Adrien could hear the sound of cameras and whispers. He worried for a bit that Mari would break away because of them, but she just giggled then smiled against his mouth.
They broke apart still grinning at each other, both of their faces red, then Adrien turned to Luka. "That prove it for you?"
The blue haired boy glowered at them muttering, "Whatever.." and then he pushed his way through their small crowd.
The pair waited for the gawkers to disperse before Adrien turned back to her, his cheeks pink, "I'm sorry that I kissed with so little warning. You just looked so uncomfortable and I-"
"H-hey..you're fine~ A- I mean It's fine! You're amazing I-I m-mean.. Thank you?"
"You're welcome, Marinette," He replied earnestly, "So.. I'll see you tomorrow. 'Bye"
He walked away, not noticing the blushing, blubbering mess he left behind.
Later Chat Noir and Ladybug met up at the Eiffel Tower after their patrol.
"What a paw-sitively purrfect night, don't you think m'lady?" He laid the puns on thick trims to make her smile or do anything.
But he got no response; she just looked off at the horizon.
"Something paw-thering you?"
Her lips turned up slightly at that one. "That one was a stretch, but yeah something happened today at school and I keep thinking about it."
"Do you want to tell me about it?"
"I guess it won't hurt. This boy was flirting with me and I told him to stop, but he wouldn't. He was leaning in to kiss me when one of my friends made him stop. My friend basically said I was his girlfriend, and when the other boy asked him to prove it, my friend kissed me. On the mouth. A lot. And my friend just so happens to be the boy I'm in love with so… I'm really confused because I don't know if he really likes me or he was just being protective because he's not really that type of person so-"
"Marinette?"

So, like, this was really short, but I didn't want to go too far into it and it's like 4 in the morning and I'm tired. In the first version I had the word 'suddenly' in like the second sentence, and all I could think was 'suddenly, pineapples" Lol. I'm sorry. I'm really tired. I wrote this in like a hour and a half.
