hey um quick note before we get in, I got inspired to write this by quirkquartz so this is not originally my idea. also my good friend kuroshi12 is helping me write this, I also helped him write his fics (except the naruto one). oh and my other friend said something about how I'd probably do some cliches or something so I apologise if I do that. anyway this is my first fic so enjoy :)

That was one of the many things Mina Ashido never had.
As soon as she developed this damned thing that she came to know as a quirk her life was miserable, Mina was different then anybody else in a lot of ways, for one she had goddamn pink skin.
Mina had always tried to hide her appearence since she was 5 witch was when this godforsaken quirk manifested, she also had horns on her head, her eyes were sclera black with yellow irises and she had pink hair. Mina hated the colour pink, the colour that had destroyed her life, the colour that had made her family abandon her, the colour that made everyone who see her hate her.
Ever since quirks had started appearing 12 years ago society had been a mess, with the quirked being treated like second class citizens when in actuality they were still humans like the rest of them. ever since doctors found out that if someone had a quirk then they were missing a joint in thier pinky toe people got kicked out of school or thier jobs, then they got left by thier families or significant other.
some people had much easier quirks to hide then mina, one of the people at her middle school had a quirk that let him control how sunlight acted around him, mina wished that she had a quirk that didn't alter her appearence, it would be much easier to walk around a city.
whenever quirkless people saw someone with a mutant type quirk they either got scared or tried to call the police, realize they couldn't, then procede to insult or physically harm them.
so when Mina was walking down an alleyway and she saw three men trail her she wasn't surprised.
"hey pinky wait for us!" the man on the left said to her, mina just kept on walking
the man on the right ran up to her and grabbed her, usually when people saw her they either knocked into her on purpose or outright punched her. she had been grabbed once before but she didn't expect it from these guys.
"hey man what did I do to you?" Mina asked "you quirked people are just a disaster waiting to happen, all for one proved that 5 years ago" the man responded
that's when Mina snapped
she hated being compared to all for one
"don't you dare fucking compare me to all for one!" she shouted while she secreted acid onto the man that had grabbed her
that was her quirk, acid, Mina could secrete most types of acid from anywhere on her body, she could also control the solubility, viscosity and general corrosiveness. she could also make a non corrosive acid that she can skate on
"Ahhh what the fuck kid!?" the man that grabbed her yelled, he had now let go of her
one of the other men then pulled out a gun and a knife, he handed the knife to the man next to him "wonder what I can get for those horns on the black market?" he asked
Mina was now terrified of the trio
suddenly a blur of black and yellow flashed past Mina
then she saw the blur take out the three men in all of 10 seconds.
she looked at the person who had saved her and saw that it was a boy about her age that had yellow hair with a black bolt cutting through it, he wore a plain white shirt with a black jacket over it, he also wore black pants that looked like they had seen many fights
in fact all of his clothes looked like they where pretty banged up
"wh-who are you?" Mina asked
"wow no thanks at all?"he said, Mina stared at him "heh don't mention it, the name is Denki Kaminari what's yours?"
"jabba the hut" Mina said with a straight face
"wooooow I saved you and you don't even tell me your name?" he retorted
"kidding, my name's Mina ashido"
"welp it's nice to meet you Mina, anyway since I saved you, ya mind coming with me?"
Mina raised an eyebrow "I thought my name was the favour"
"ohhhh you're gonna like some of the others, c'mon" Kaminari smiled as he started running off
Mina quickly wieghed her options, she could stay here but she didn't reaaly want to be around when the three men woke up but where else would she go? she was homeless
she sighed and ran after Kaminari
"hey wait for me!" Mina yelled after Kaminari
they had been running for a good minute or so now and Kaminari was unbelievably fast, they had made thier way onto some rooftops and were running and jumping across them, the skyline of musutafu skyline looked beautiful as the sun set.
As she was running Mina thought about Kaminari. He seemed nice enough but he also seemed like the kind of person that doesn't take anything seriously, he was certainly handsome but he wasn't the type of guy Mina would date, but something bothered her about the way he was running carefree across the rooftops, it was like he had never felt a bad feeling in his life and Mina had had some bad experiences with people like that, they never considered what other people were feeling and just focused on self happiness no matter how much it hurt others and-
"we're here!" said Kaminari gleefully
Mina promptly lost her train of thought when he started speaking, she looked infront of her and saw a pretty decent sized house, it was just bigger than the house of her par- no they didn't deserve to be called that, a parent is supposed to love and support thier child no matter what, not throw them out as soon as they looked wierd, "yooouuu ok?" Kaminari asked breaking Mina out of her stupor, "yeah I'm fine" Mina responded as she resumed taking in her surroundings.
"well we better get inside then" Kaminari siad while grinning like an idiot, as he opened the door Kaminari whispered to Mina "you're gonna love it here"
when Mina walked in the house she wasn't expecting to see an explosion
"FUCKING SHITTY HAIR HOW ARE YOU SO GOOD AT THIS" a blonde haired boy was yelling at a redhead who looked to have shark teeth
"Dunno kaachan how are you so bad?" the redhead answered with a wicked grin on his face
"FUCK YOU ONLY DEKU CALLS ME THAT CUZ WE'VE BEEN FRIENDS SINCE WE WERE BABIES"
"noted, guess I'll call you bakubro then"
"YOU FUCKING CALL ME THAT SHITTY HAIR AN-"
"GUYS" Kaminari shouted
the two teens turned and looked at Kaminari, then at Mina, the redhead then walked up to Mina and offered her his hand
"hiya welcome to the utopia for the quirked my name's Eijiro Kirishima what's yours?"
"M-mina Ashido" Mina replied, she wasn't used to people being so friendly to her, not even other quirked people, on the streets it was usually every man for themselves.
"HEY DUNCE FACE, YOU BRING IN ANOTHER STRAY?" the blonde boy yelled
"hey c'mon bakugo this is only the second I've brought in, Midorya has brought in way more than me" Kaminari complained
"YEAH BUT MIND CONTROL HAS BEEN A BIGGER ANNOYANCE THAN ANYONE SHITTY DEKU'S BROUGHT BACK"
Kaminari sighed and turned to mina "and that's Katsuki Bakugo, he might have an explosive personality but he's one of the biggest softies here"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP DUNCE FACE"
What a sweetheart Mina thought, "these two are people that are quirked like me and you" Kaminari stated "yeah you never told me what your quirk was or if you even had one" Mina said flatly
"oh uh heh heh sorry bout that, my quirk is electricity by the way I can cover myself in electricy so that if anyone touches me they'll get zapped and possibly paralized, I can also shoot electricity at people as a long range attack, my ultimate move is releasing energy everywhere but that makes me an idiot for a few minutes" Kaminari explained
Mina blinked, he had made up moves for his quirk? even an ultimate move? how long had he been refining his quirk for?
Kirishima piped up "my quirk is called hardening, I can harden any part of my body but the part I harden will also become jagged"
Bakugo joined in as well "MY QUIRKS BETTER THAN ALL OF YOURS" kirishima elbowed him "fine my quirk is called explosion, I sweat nitroglycerin but I can only detonate it with my hands, GOT IT!?" the explosive teen finished
"well my quirk is called acid, I can create most types of acid from my skin, I can control how corrosive the acid is as well, and for some reason my quirk makes me look like this" Mina finished
"now that we know each others quirks we can-" Kaminari started
"sorry for interupting but who owns this house?" Mina asked, she didn't want to find that some quirkless person owned it and was going to yell at her
"that would be shitty deku" Bakugou scoffed
Mina had heard bakugou say that name once or twice and just assumed he was just another person living here, but apparantly he owned the place
"yeah midoryia's mother passed away a few years back and she left the house to him, the only reason he actually got it was because the government officials don't care about the quirked, so they couldn't care less if some quirked freak wasted away not knowing how to care for himself, luckily his mother taught him well and he had bakugou, ever since then he and bakugou have lived here taking in quirked people" Kirishima explained.
"wow he sounds like a really brave and nice guy" Mina blurted out
"HAH SHITTY DEKU BRAVE?" Bakugou burst into a fit of laughter
"why is he laughing at that?" Mina wondered aloud
"oh uh you'll see when you meet him" Kirishima said sheepishly, while rubbing the back of his head
"Anyway let's go introduce Mina to the others" kaminari said, trying to insert himself back into the conversation
When Mina made her way upstairs she was met with six other people some even mutant types like herself
One of them walked up to her, Mina assumed she was a girl because of the clothes that she was wearing, because she was invisible
"oooooo are you a new person that's gonna stay here?" the now confirmed female asked enthusiasticly "wait where are my manners, my name is Toru hagakure what's yours?" she chirped
"Guys this is Mina Ashido, come introduce yourselves and make her feel welcome" Kaminari announced
"I can introduce myself thank you" Mina quickly retorted with unbridled energy, it had been a while since she had a chance to make new friends so she decided to be herself
"ohh I like" her said an asian looking guy who had very strange elbows "the name's Hanta Sero"
A girl who looked to have a frog like posture made her way towards Mina "and my name is Tsuyu Asui" the frog girl said
at that moment probably the strangest looking of the group walked up to her, Mina couldn't tell if they were male or female because they looked to be a humanoid bird
"hello my name is Fumikage Tokoyami, I hope you decide to stay here" the bird man said with an obvious male voice
Mina then saw two people sitting in opposite corners of the room, she decided to check on the female first "and you are?" she asked the girl
"Kyouka Jirou, it's a pleasure to meet you and all of that jazz" Jirou said while looking at the floor
"Hey come on Jirou we've talked about this" Kaminari said while looking at Jirou as if he'd had to do this many times, but he also had a slight blush on his face that no one except Mina noticed
"sorry sorry" jirou said while hiding her face to cover her nonexistant blush that she thought she had, these two 100% like each other Mina thought while having a massive internal smile
Mina then walked toward the boy in the other end of the room, he had purple hair and looked like he was very sleep deprived, the boy saw her coming over and stood up extending his hand
"welcome to our place, my name is Hitoshi Shinsou, also you might wanna watch out for my quirk, if you respond to something I say I can control you" Shinsou said rather deadpan
Mina was going to respond but her brain then fully processed what Shinsou had said and she thought against it, instead she simply nodded
"don't worry, Shinsou wouldn't control you unless you got on his bad side like bakugou did" kirishima snickerd
"THAT WAS ONE TIME AND IT WASN'T FUNNY SO FUCKING SHUT UP SHITTY HAIR"
Now both Mina and kaminari were laughing at the explosive teen getting embarassed
suddenly Mina heard the door open downstairs, she then heard the door shut and saw another person with curly green hair that rivaled her own walk up the stairs.
when the curly haired boy reached the top of the stairs Mina got a look at him and, he was wearing a blue jacket with a black shirt underneath with black and white sports shorts, the boy then put his jacket on the coat hanget that was next to a wall in this upstairs living room, when he took off his jacket Mina finally got a good look at him and almost fainted, his shirt was either extremely small or he was super jacked, but not in a big guy kinda way, this dude was actually the same height as Mina, when her eyes made her way to his biceps she had to stop herself from getting a nosebleed, goddamn how could anyone even get that jacked let alone stay that way. Mina then took a good look at his face and noticed that it looked really cute but somehow it went with his whole muscly theme. Mina had hooked up with a few people on the streets that actually weren't revolted by her appearance before to get some food, money or clothes but this guy she actually wanted to fuck, he was in one word hot Mina thought, she was going to have to get herself some of him later
"o-oh h-hi you m-m-ust be new h-here right?" he said when he finally noticed her
well I'm definetly staying now that I know you're here Mina wanted to say but instead she just nodded with a hint of lilac on her face
"w-well it's n-nice to meet you m-m-my name i-is Izuku Midoriya"
