Prologue
The moon rose high above the trees, casting a silver glare down below on the world. Still, at this hour, StarClan was filled to the brim with worry. There were more cats in StarClan than there were in all of the Clans down below. A terrible famine had struck the Clans, and a plague swept in at the same time, decreasing the numbers of all Clans. Even with the Darkivy scandal, nothing had changed, except for an influx of kits.
"What are we going to do?" Sweetwillow mewed uncertainty.
"Why are you looking at me?" Sorrelfeather hissed, "You can see the future better than I can."
"That doesn't mean I can see everything!" she yowled. "I'm leaving, inviting you to this meeting was the worst mistake I've ever made!"
"Calm down. You she-cats are always fighting over something." a black warrior strode into the moonlight.
"Took you long enough," Sorrelfeather mewed.
"Yeah, what kept you Twilightcry?" Sweetwillow mewed. "You know she and I always clash!"
"We do not!"
"Yes we do!"
"Exactly," another figure mewed stepping into the light. The late RiverClan leader looked around.
"Crowstar," Sweetwillow mewed, bowing her head.
"You know what time it is."
Sweetwillow stiffened. "Already?"
"Yes. For the Clans need to be saved, so we must deliver them a prophecy. They need their last hope."
"I can try Crowstar," Sweetwillow mewed as she looked into the future. She closed her eyes, then struggled for a few heartbeats. She opened them again. "Fox-dung!" she meowed, as the words of the prophecy came flowing out of her.

"You were certainly right about the fox-dung," Sorrelfeather mewed, a bit of horror sweeping through her pelt, something she's only felt once before.
