King's crown island is the site of the legendary Brightside university, where students from around the world can brighten up their talents. Nestled between Osaka and Hiroshima, this island is the place where students can shine, and learn from professor Covington. But this year's crop of students is planning on something special, something that will expand the horizons of learning. It is within this interstellar space dream, that the true nature of learning begins...
Reiji: Mr. Covington. I won't work anymore on this stupid little space program!
Souji: Reiji!
Kenzou: He has a point there, what can all this achieve?
Covington: Oh Reiji, always thinking of yourself. When we finish the starting point of the interstellar space fortress, we will have access to the most greatly needed resources out there. New medicines, food, air conditioning sources, all for a good cause.
Hiroki: that's right.
Yuri: we will.
Covington: And this is all in the name of science.
Hikaru: What kind of world will accept all this in the future you speak of?
Seiichi: The other governments will not approve of this new technology.
Mitsue: But we will do more than our limits!
Reiji: I've had enough of this! Kenzou, Mitsue, Seiichi, Hikaru, let's go!
Episode 1: Begin! The great metal war.
Mitsue: What are we going to do now?
Kenzou: There's no way we can stay in this poor excuse for a university, I'm not wasting any more brainpower on that space station!
Hikaru: You really think we'd be lucky enough to get out of this dump? With our funds, it doesn't sound good.
Seiichi: Well, we've got to do something.
Reiji: It doesn't matter. We're through playing nice!
Metalion: Are you through playing nice? Do you feel your talents are wasted for a dumb project? Then join the army of the Steel-Clad Empire Void. We are the ultimate in intergalactic technology, boasting a huge number of guns and ships.
Mitsue: And so, the balance shifts.
Metalion: Even our soldiers are excellent marksmen.
Kenzou: You don't say.
Seiichi: These guys sound interesting.
Reiji: These guys could be our ticket outta here!
Mitsue: This ad says that a spacecraft will land for any available recruits.
Reiji: No choice, we're hopping aboard!
Mitsue, Hikaru, Kenzou, and Seiichi: You got it!
Tatsuo: Okay, all systems are good to go!
Souji: Yeah.
Eiichi: Woo hoo!
Nishi: Wait, what are you two doing?
Sachi: get outta there.
Hiroki: Well, we'd like to be the first to try this system out.
Yuri: Like I said Nishi, this girl's got a undesirable dream to accomplish!
Nishi: Gulp, systems launching.
Souji: Whoa, where are they?
Hiroki: Hey guys, check out the suits!
Yuri: The system was a success.
Tatsuo: Alright, that's just like I envisioned. Come on!
Yuri: Wow, not even a scratch? These suits do come in handy.
Hiroki: Yeah.
(Just then, everything starts spinning out of control. A spaceship lands on the ground as Tatsuo and friends watch, Reiji and co hop onboard.)
Tatsuo: Reiji? Just where are you going?
Reiji(pulling out a blaster): None of your business.
Hiroki: Look out!
Reiji: And we are no longer friends!
Souji: Hiroki?
(But both Hiroki and Yuri are dead from the gunfire.)
Tatsuo: HIROKI!
Souji: HIROKI.
Sachi: YURI!
Eiichi: Hiroki! Hey. Hey.
Tatsuo: Why do something so unforgivable?
Sachi: Yuri! Why? Why? Yuri!
Nishi: Yuri. I'm so sorry!
Covington: hmmm, sounds like rain.
Eiichi: Hiroki. Hiroki!
(The spacecraft flies over to the Metal Megalith, landing inside.)
12 years later, springtime.
Nishi: Hey, have you seen Tatsuo anywhere?
Sachi: He hasn't been the same since that day Nishi, we all haven't.
Nishi: Yeah, but at least we can finally see our dreams come true.
Souji: Well, they just announced the participants, better go check on him.
Tatsuo: It's been a long time, but we've finally done it. The one project you never got to see, completed.
Eiichi: Hey Tatsuo, the launch is about to start. I'll make sure that our two friends can see it happen.
Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three, Two, One, Ignition!
Nishi: Uh guys, what are those?
