Welcome to the world of Pokemon. Over the years over courses of centuries many trainees have battled out but one stood above the rest "Red Satoshi Ketchum" the pokemom master. But he knew he could not keep up with it forever , fending of rivals, shutting down criminal organizations. Ever since he became the master and Blue became the Viridian Gym leader the champion of kanto spot fell vacant. The champion of other regions notably Lance Wataru the champion of Johto acted as the temporary champion unntil someone defeated the KANTO elite four. the ice mistress Lorelei Prima, the ghostly hag Agatha Cristie, the fighting marshal Bruno Daichiki and Lance himself was the fourth elite but he resigned as soon as he ascended the throne of Johto. Without two of their memebers the elite four became a a disarray. Bruno was too ruthless , Agatha was too strong and Lorelei was too cunning. However Agatha decided to retire , Lorelei decided to resume her studies and Bruno got a better offer from the Johto Elites.
ASH KETCHUM was tthe son of the pokemon master RED. Being the son of the champion he was allowed to go out on his journey at the age of 10 . He went through the seven regions caught lots of pokemon and finally won the Alola league. However he was battered by Hala during hs elite trial which crashed his dream of becoming a champion. However deep above in the HALL OF ORIGINS a white hooded pokemon sAId to hmself "Soon O CHOSEN ONE ,SOON". Maybe fate had other plans for the alpha's chosen.
"ASH, dear would you please come, your father and Charles Goodshow are on TELEVISION"
"GOOD AFTERNOON CITIZENS OF KANTO AND WORLD, I CHARLES GOODSHOW, THE DIRECTOR OF POKEMON LEAGUE AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THIS YEAR'S KANTO LEAGUE STANDS CANCELLED. INSTEAD THERE WOULD BE AN EXTENDED LEAGUE NEXT YEAR"
Hearing this the reporters were about to break out into a protest however when Red brought out his Charizard all felt silent.. That bipedal winnged ovrgrown lizard was enough to silence all.
CHARLES GOODSHOW QUIVERING VOICE ROSE " THIS YEAR A SPECIAL TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD. ANY PARTICIPANT WITH OVER 5 YRS OF LEAGUE EXPERIENCE AND ONE WHO HAS WON AT LEAST ONE LEGAUE ARE ELIGIBLE. ADDITIONALLY PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO CONQUER ONE BATTLE FRONTIER. PARTICIPANTS ARE ALSO ALLOWED TO USE ONLY ONE TYPE OF POKEMON. PARICIPANTS WILL REGISTER SIX POKEMON FOR THE TOURNAMENT AND WILL HAVE TO DEFEAT ALL GYM LEADERS USING THE SAME SIX POKEMON. "
The last word hit everyone like a straw. It was practically imposible to conquer the battle frontier . Few could defat the other members but Brendan and Argenta the couple were inconquerable. Few could get past The REGIS OF BRENDAN OR THE LAKE GUARDIANS OF ARGENTA.
Hearing the announcement Ash became dull. Sure he wAnted to be the champion but with one type meant he would have to train only one type.
Putting on his jacket Ash went to the Pokemon LAB. On his way to the coral he was met by a flamethower. Looking up he grinned to see his strongest pokemon return, the one who cost him his first league, the master of llegendaries, CHARIZARD.
He suddenly noticed the scratch on Charizard''s chin. The scratch fate made him look past his current team and made him look all the way back to Grampa Canyon, a prehistoric pokemon. At that moment ASHTON SATOSHI KETCHUM knew what he would specialize in the "FOSSIL POKEMONS", prehistoric mmonsters, with proper training they would go toe on toe with legendary pokemons
However Ash decided that as soon as he became the champion he would resort to using his main team
So Ash Ketchum decided to select his strongest team
First was his ever faithful starter Pikachu. That yellow rodent was his ever faithful brother in arms. Next came Charizard. That coould toe on toe with some of his dad's strongest pokemons. Then came his Sceptile. With his twig he was an absolute powerhouse, one who took down Darkrai. Ash wanted Infernape but he had Charizard. Also from Unova he took Krokodile. And finally from KALOS where he met Serena, he took Greninja. That ASH-GRENINJA was sure to certain other competitors. For his final slot Ash decided to keep it empty.
ASH on going to the lab explained to professor oak about his intention. Professor Oak beamed at the fact of another one of his student going to the tournament. Of course he did not allow Ash to straightaway head into his journey. He knew how strong the gym leaders A team could be .
Professor Oak in a strong voice lectured "ASH this is not unlike your any other journey. You need to make sure what fossil pokemons you catch"
"Now I am going to lecture you about the various fossil pokemons available
First we have the dual water/rock pokemons omantye and kabuto. Then we have the predraconic beast Aerodactyl. Moving on to Hoenn we have the gentle LILLEEP and ANORITH which our Hoenn champion uses. u can also have Relicanth. In Sinnoh we have Craniodos and Shieldon. In Unova u have Titouga and Archen and Genesect. In kalos u have the rock headed Tyrunt and the ice cold Amaura. Finally u have four new pokemon the electric dragon DRACOZOLT, the ocean dragon DRACONISH, the electrifying icy cold ARCOZOLT and the distantly related cousins of LAPRAS ,ARCTONISH.
SO Ash you have two hours to select the 6 pokemons". with that professor Oak walked away leaving the 17 year old to his thoughts. In the meantime someone cae to Professor Oak's lab along with RED. RED saw his son and went ahead
Charles Goodshow finally spoke breaking Ash from his thoughts "AH ASH, my boy what type did you choose. I guess ELECTRIC OR FIRE"
"Actually Mr. Goodshow , I decided to use fossil pokemons seeing as they all are draconic. "
Mr. Goodshow was awestruck. That 10 year ever lively boy had found a loop in the rules. Sure all fossil pokemons were rocks and draconics but he did not imagine that anyone would use that to a an advantage.
Even Red was dumbstruck. A mixed bag of emotions ran through him , he was proud as a father .
Red spoke, "Ash, you need any help"
"No I will sort them out on my own. But Mr. Goodshow I Wanted a help . I wanted to take some off my pokemon with me for training. I can't just neglect my old pokemons", Ash spoke
"Sure Ash the rules state that u can use only 6 registered pokemon in gym battles. You can always train other pokemons. And owing to your accomplishements over the years I grant you permissiion to carry 12 pokemons at all times. However you cannot use more than 6 pokkemon in any battles."
"Sure sir"replied Ash
"Hey Ash before you go, I wanted to give you the mega stone for sceptile, the dynamax band for Charizard and the Pikashunium z . This is the least I can do as a father"
Ash was speechless. Well being the master"s son wasn't that bad after all.
Finally at the end of two hours Ash managed to put together a team and submitted the list to Professor OAK
And the first place where Ash wanted to gowas the Grampa Canyon. Charizard was aching for a rematch.
