If Summer and Kyle didn't get together after the kiss in San Francisco, this is the direction, I would have wanted the story to go:

I would have Summer take a job/ training offer from Ashley to work in Paris for 3 months to get her leg into the international market. Kyle would be sad that she left and her temporary replacement while she is away, doesn't particularly work for Kyle. Summer comes back after training more knowledgeable than ever and resumes her previous position as Kyle's right hand, but she doesn't come back from Paris alone... come through Jean Luc Francois

Jean Luc Francois father is a diplomat. But Jean Luc has always been into fashion. He met summer during a Paris Fashion Week Seminar and was instantly smitten by her. Noah was in Paris and has worked with Jean Luc taking pictures of his work. They start to hang out a lot. Everyday after work actually.

She tells him her training is over and she needs to go back home. Jean Luc wants to get his clothing line in the American market and wants to pitch his ideas with Jabot. Summer said she knows the CEO and COO very well and will definitely put in a good word. Jean Luc also said that even though it's been a short period since they have known each other, he wants to prove to Summer that he can be a good guy for her so he decides to follow her back home.

Since Summer left town for Paris, Kyle has had a difficult time getting her out of his head. He has emailed her a couple times a week during her trip to ask how she has been, but she's only replied to one. He saw on her IG how beautiful she's been looking. He thought of showing up to Paris in the guise of business because of how much he had missed her, but he decided it wasn't a good idea. Summer out of mind, out of site, would allow him to forget about their kiss in San Francisco. Yes, the wonderful kiss. Her sweet lips that he missed more than anything. Telling Summer that they were just friends, hurt him as much as leaving her for Lola.

Why is he thinking of Summer? He said to himself? He loves Lola, he is married to Lola, he is happy with Lola...is what he told himself everyday to convince himself that he moved on from the kiss. Today was an exciting day in particular because he knew Summer was returning home. He missed his 'friend' and partner. He missed how well they work together. Summer returning meant things would go back to normal because her temp replacement was horrible.

He smelled her scent from a distance, and he instantly perked up. She sashayed into his office like she owned the place and immediately smiled at him. His whole mood lit up as she walked in. He was so happy to see her. He immediately walked over to her and gave her a huge hug. The hug lasted a little longer than he intended. But it felt good to have her in his arms. They spoke about how her trip was in Paris. He said she must have been really busy since she only replied to one of his emails the entire time she was there. She said things got a little hectic so it was difficult keeping up with people and things that didn't particularly have to do with Paris. It stung Kyle a bit, that he was categorized as something she didn't need to keep up with.

Summer immediately shifted the topic to business and told Kyle that she had someone from Paris that has an amazing fashion line that wanted to partner with Jabot to get his clothing in the American market. That week in particular, they were looking for different designers around the world to pitch their ideas as their new fashion project, so Summer told Kyle a bit about Jean Luc's work. Summer told Kyle she had to go home quickly because she had her grandmother's birthday celebration coming up. Kyle said he would see her there.

Summer: *why does he still look so damn delicious*. It hadn't been even 10 minutes, and all her feelings that she left in GC came rushing back. She ghosted him on purpose when she was in Paris because she wanted to forget him. She wanted to finally move on and stop thinking there was a future for the two of them. She went to GCAC to meet with Jean Luc. He immediately greeted her with such a passionate kiss. French men were so romantic. She told him she couldn't wait for him to meet all her friends and family at her grandmother party this evening. He told Summer that he thought it was an honour to meet her family. Before leaving Paris, Jean Luc brought Summer over to his family for a grand dinner. Before he left, he told his father that Summer could possibly be the one, so he followed her to GC in hopes of partnering with Jabot so he could stay close to Summer.

Kyle got home and immediately started to get ready for the night. Lola's team wasn't catering the event that night so he got to have her as his date. He didn't particularly share what happened between he and Summer in SF, but there was a bit of a disconnect between them since then. Everything was all about work, and they hardly had time for one another. Tonight was the only night where they could both just forget about work and enjoy themselves. They arrived at the party a bit early, and the guests were starting to arrive at TOTT. Nikki Newman was one fabulous lady so you know it was top tier. Kyle didn't really want to be there. He's always hated Nikki and he always will. He was mainly there to show support for his dad... he told himself, but he really wanted to see Summer. He knew she would look amazing no matter what she wore.

It had been over an hour and the party was pretty packed, and Summer was still nowhere to be found. He was pretty sure he mingled with just about everyone at the party and he still didn't see her. He decided to get a drink at the bar. When he walked over there, that is when he noticed the elevator door open and there she was. His world stopped immediately just admiring how good she looked. Her dress covered her curves so well. Her blush pink dress made her skin glow. He was about to walk up to her until he saw a tall, dark haired man holding her hand. Kyle was confused. He had never seen this man in his life. *Why was he holding her hand* he thought to himself. He saw how Summer smiled at him, a smile that Kyle was familiar with. It wasn't a "hey we are friends" smile. It was definitely more than that. He saw them check their coats and walked down the stairs to join the guest. This man had his hands all over Summer, his woman... he meant his friend. Kyle's face got slightly red watching the way they were arm in arm, hand in hand.

Lola came and broke into his thoughts saying "hey there is Summer, I didn't know she was back from Paris, did you?"

Kyle told her that he knew, and that she came by the office earlier. Lola took notice of the man that was with Summer and asked Kyle who he was. Kyle said nervously with a bit of annoyance, that he didn't know who he was, never seen him before. Lola said they should go over and say hi and catch up. She pulled Kyle's arm as they approached Summer. Lola immediately came up to summer and hugged her. Summer then introduced Kyle and Lola to Jean Luc. Kyle's face wasn't at all that amused but he did put on a fake smile. Summer then told Kyle that Jean Luc was the person she was telling him about earlier. Jean Luc told Kyle he couldn't wait to see his work and he is excited to pitch his ideas to him. Kyle told him he's looking forward to it... really fake of course. Summer then told Kyle and Lola that she was going to leave them real quick because she wanted to introduce her family to Jean Luc. As she walked away with him, Kyle night from then until they reached home, was completely ruined.
