(Well, I'm back now for another Totally Spies! oneshot. The last one was Aqua Spies, which was a request from dumas. That one was fun to tell you the truth. I know I'm going to have fun with this one. This is a request from jettmanas and we're centering on Britney this time. He has also agreed to assist in writing this request with me. Just as a refresher, here are the TS oneshots I've written in the order going back to this past Fall:

1. Totally Ice Cold (the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge)

2. Hawaiian Holiday Hijinks (the spies going to Hawaii for Christmas)

3. Ice Spies Challenge (sequel to Totally Ice Cold)

4. Aqua Spies (aquatic training – mile-long swim back to the Mali-U Beach)

Title: Totally Spies!: Britney's Bombtastic Birthday

Rating: K+

Summary: It's Britney's birthday today, and the spies want to hear about her away from missions. The spies may be in for a surprise or two... or will they?

1:17 PM – Mali-U Campus

On a bright Friday afternoon, three of the five spies were relaxing in the student lounge after Alex had finished a class of her own. Sam, Clover, and Britney were having a good laugh over the seemingly short Friday morning they all had.

"Lucky us, eh, Sammy?" Clover asked. "No classes for me today."

"And my physics professor's heading out of town right about now," Sam replied with a nod. "Nice for me to give my brain cells a well-needed break."

"And the rest of us only had one class ourselves today," Britney pointed out. "I admit, Alex's basket weaving class was fun, but I let it slip to her that today's my birthday."

That got Sam and Clover's attention, too.

"I guess that explains why we haven't seen Alex since breakfast," Sam remarked.

"Totally," Clover quipped. "Happy birthday, Britney!"

"Yeah, happy birthday," Sam added. "Maybe we should get back to the penthouse to have a quiet celebration."

"And take our celebration to the Mali-U Beach later," Clover continued.

"By the way, where are Alex and Mat?" Sam asked. "We gotta get the word to them."

"Last I heard, Alex was going to get Mat for something she kept hush-hush about," Britney answered.

Sam wasn't jealous at all since she and Mat were well into their relationship. Clover gave Alex a call, which lasted a minute or two.

"They're out birthday-shopping for Brit," Clover whispered in Sam's ear.

1:29 PM – The Groove

Mat and Alex were out at the Groove, but Mat was still in the dark over why Alex wanted to come here and not bring Sam and the others.

"Alex, you wanna tell me what all the hubbub is about?" Mat asked.

"Britney's birthday is today," Alex told Mat. "I only found this out today."

"Ah, I get it," Mat answered, realizing what this was all about now. "Birthday shopping then."

"I thought we'd handle the shopping and wrap up with a cake," Alex replied.

"Works for me," Mat quipped. "Maybe I can give her something to get her thinking about coming to Hawaii one day."

Alex had a surprised look on her face. "Can't say I blame ya; go for it, Mat."

She and Mat hit up an electronics store and bought Britney some blue deluxe headphones; the two friends checked out a nearby department store and got Britney a blue swimsuit for her. Mat added in a gift card for $15 off Britney's next purchase. After buying a cake, the two got back to Mali-U and their penthouse.

2:20 PM - Spies' Penthouse

"This is your day, Brit," Sam said, nudging her playfully with her shoulder. "So what was it like when you first got transferred to Australia?"

Britney looked from Sam to the others somberly. "Well, I missed you guys, and L.A., and everything." She took a drink of her kombucha. "But Jerry arranged for my parents to work in Sydney, so that really helped. I mean, I was still in high school," she said and chuckled.

"Can we visit you sometime?" Alex asked.

"Of course!" Britney replied, leaning forward. "You've got to meet Steve. He's the director of WOOHP there. Taught me everything about Australia," she said and nodded. "Oh, I got to visit my grandparents more often."

"In Australia?" Mat asked.

"No, in Tokyo," Britney replied.

"Cool!" Clover replied. "I never knew that about you."

"Yeah, well I guess with all the craziness I never got to tell you much about myself."

"Any boyfriends, or at least hot dates?" Clover asked, brows raised.

Sam looked at the blonde and held up a hand. "You shouldn't pry into her personal life, Clover."

"No, it's fine," Britney said. "I mean, you guys have literally saved my life. I feel pretty open with whatever."

She smiled at Alex, who'd saved them from Willard's bomb on their first mission together. Then nodded to the others, recalling her being rescued when captured on the extremely dangerous WOOHP Island.

"So…" Clover said.

"So... nope!" Britney said with a shrug. "Some guys try to hit on me, but I'm really picky." She pursed her lips. "I still like checking out guys, though!" she admitted.

The others laughed a little at that.

"I hear you on being picky," Sam said. She leaned into Mat, his arm around her.

"Well, Blaine showed up after a while," Britney told them.

Clover finished her drink and set down her glass.

"But he was bummed over being split up from Clover. We were good friends, but that's it," Britney said and put a hand on Clover's shoulder.

"Yeah?" Clover looked at Britney. "Nice."

Clover thought a moment, shifting on the couch. "Which is more than I can say for Jerry. First, he sends you, then Blaine across the planet!" She prepared to say more, but looked to the others and exhaled, calming herself.

Sam chuckled. "Aaanyway, I think it's time for something-" she looked to Mat, and they both got up, heading to the kitchen.

Alex squealed excitedly then slyly inched away in stealth mode. Clover just smiled and gestured for Britney to wait a few moments, then giggled and led her to the kitchen.

When they arrived, Mat, Sam, Clover, and Alex promptly sang "Happy Birthday" until the familiar song was finished. Sam had set out a small cake with white frosting on the table. On top were various berries and a candle in a holder. Mat set down plates and utensils. Alex had arranged the gifts.

"Oh, you guys," Britney said, close to tears. "Thank you!"

Clover and Alex hugged her from both sides.

"Make a wish!" Sam said, after she gave her a hug as well.

Mat gave Britney a hug, too.

Britney closed her eyes for a moment, opened them, then blew out the candle. The others clapped a bit and chatted as Mat sliced five pieces and got them to everyone.

"Soo delish!" Britney exclaimed in delight after the first bite.

After they finished, she opened the gifts, happily surprised and giving thanks for each of them.

"You're welcome," Alex replied as she and Mat fist-bumped behind each other.

"Well, thank you again, everyone," Britney stated, extremely appreciative.

The four friends looked among each other.

"You're welcome, but the party's just started, Brit," Clover remarked.

"It… has?" Britney asked.

"Totally," Clover answered with a grin. "We plan to take this party to the Mali-U Beach."

"After one more thing we do here," Mat added after they all did a wardrobe change to their swimsuits upon Clover's statement.

Before long, Clover and Alex held Britney and gave her a birthday toss in their penthouse pool.

"Happy birthday, Brit," Alex said again as Britney resurfaced, getting a laugh out of what just happened.

2:54 PM - Mali-U Beach

"So, hope you're ready for some fun, Brit," Mat stated.

Britney looked at Mat in his swimshorts and 1998-throwback motocross shirt. It was blue in front and white on the back, which read "Henry 19" to signify 3-time Motocross champ, Doug Henry.

"I can't think of a better place to spend my birthday besides the beach at Mali-U," Britney replied with a smile. "And thanks for the swimsuit, too, Mat."

"You're welcome," Mat replied. "Anything to get you thinking about Hawaii one day."

Alex chuckled while in her normal yellow bikini.

"That's my boyfriend," Sam quipped, wearing her usual green backless one-piece swimsuit that showed her curves. "I get that 'aloha spirit' you tell us and show us, too."

"Totally," Clover added, turning on her stomach in the orange bikini she wore.

After 15 minutes of tanning, Britney got the spies' attention with a run into the ocean.

"You're on," Clover stated.

The four spy friends ran after Britney like excited kids out of school for some fun of their own.

"This is nice," Alex stated. "No other responsibilities for us - no homework, no shifts at the Mali-U Cafe, and no classes for the rest of the day."

"Totally," Clover replied. "The time to blow off some steam is now!"

They reached the ocean and then splashed in, about waist high. Britney did a slow crawl, then stopped to see that the others were swimming a bit as well. But they soon stopped just to chat.

"There are amazing beaches in Australia," Britney said. "But this is still my fav."

The others smiled at that. "Yeah, I really am thankful for all this," Sam replied, gesturing around her, completely relaxed.

"We've more than earned it after all we've done. But yeah, I agree," said Clover.

Alex sighed, then drifted backwards, kicking her legs to float a bit. Mat chuckled at that. Clover smirked, unable to resist splashing a bit of water at her.

"Clover!" Alex whined.

The brunette got back to her feet, laughed and splashed back at Clover. The others looked at them, then to each other, considering joining the fray.

"Uh uh. Neutral party," Sam said, closing her eyes and shaking her head. She primly turned to walk back to shore.

Naturally, she was splashed right after. She turned and saw Alex and Clover looking guilty over their sneak attack.

Sam sputtered, then looked at Mat. "Okay Mat, you're with me."

He nodded, smiling, then they splashed the two back.

"Hey, whose side do I take?" Britney asked, laughing, then settled on splashing everyone.

After a few moments, they got back to shore, gathered their things, and returned home.

5:40 PM - Spies' Penthouse

After everyone had showered and changed, Sam offered to play Britney in chess.

"Oh, this could take a while," Alex remarked, looking at them. Clover focused on the TV, while Mat opted for reading beside Sam.

"You've got that right," Mat said, running a hand through Sam's hair from beside her on the couch.

Sam smiled. "And you're going to break my focus," she said lightly and leaned against him.

Clover looked from the TV to the couple and the chess game, then back to the TV.

"That doesn't mean I can't... do a bit of coddling with my girl, does it?" Mat asked.

"Not when she's playing chess with someone," Sam playfully chastised.

Mat got the gist of things and let Sam do her thing and catch up on his Supercross series by reading the most recent magazine on the subject.

"Found something good on, Clover?" Alex asked.

"A good movie," Clover answered.

At the end of the chess game, Sam managed to get the upper hand and win over Britney.

"You ARE a good chess player," Sam remarked.

"Thanks," Britney stated. "There was a time I had a winning streak of thirteen chess match wins in a row until someone kept me from getting to win #14."

"That's impressive," Sam said as she gave Mat's arm a slight tug to tell him she was finished with the chess game.

"Is that as impressive as your cheerleading?" Mat asked, overhearing Britney and Sam's statements as he and Sam got a little cuddly.

On the other hand, Clover had just gotten off her phone to announce dinner plans between them all, but she did hear Britney about to discuss her cheerleading accomplishments.

"Dinner reservations are set!" Clover said with a hand flourish. "Oh, cheerleading. Yeah, so impressive!" Her eyes sparked, thinking back. "It was really physical. And you had to push your vocal chords. Inspire the hunks. And the rest of the crowd. Am I right, girl?"

Britney erupted into quiet giggles at her friend's theatrics. She sighed and wiped a few tears from her eyes with a tissue and gave her a shoulder hug.

"Yeah, you nailed it," Britney said. She looked at Sam. "I heard it's not your thing, though."

Sam winced. "Oh you heard about that mission," she said, then shook her head.

"Yeah, and I've heard about a lot of them," Britney replied. "But I want to hear every mission you three went on."

Alex leaned back on the couch. "Wow. Okay, let me tell you one or two over dinner!"

"Deal!" Britney said and high fived her, then looked to Sam and Mat. "But seriously. I'm happy you and Mat have a great relationship. And Nick and you," she said, turning back to her former rival.

"All I can say is I'm the luckiest guy in the world," Mat said. "And I know Nick feels the same way with Alex." He chuckled. "Guess we're tied, then."

Sam and Alex both gave an "Aww" in response.

Clover sighed. Britney noticed and patted her shoulder.

"Hang in there. Maybe Blaine will get transferred back." Britney thought briefly. "What if I tell him to hold off on other girls. To wait for you."

Clover looked at her in appreciation. "You'd do that for me? Thanks, Britney." She furrowed her brows. "But can I hold off from chasing other guys?"

Everyone laughed at that.

"I'm serious!" she said, then laughed a bit as well. "And what about you?" She looked at Britney.

"Yeah," she replied. "I hope to find the right guy. He really needs to be special. Maybe someone at WOOHP in Sydney."

"That's the spirit," Sam said and pulled Britney to her feet. "For now, let's get out to dinner. Whaddaya say?"

Everyone replied with affirmatives, smiling at Sam's energetic take-charge attitude. After a minute or so, they got their things together and left. A special day topped off with a bit more fun from an exceptional group, with many adventures to come.

Note from Mat49324: And that's another oneshot in the books. This one was pretty fun to say the least. Thanks to jettmanas for the request. I'll see you for the next oneshot - be it requested or not.

Note from jettmanas: Thanks to Mat for this first collab and the idea for it. It takes place during Season 5, after episode 12 where Alex stops considering Britney a rival, and simply a friend. I did the cover art. Thank you for reading. Please review!
