So this literally just came to me. I mean, we have several Ben 10 crossovers with Marvel and DC... but why not bring Rex into one of these universes. I think it's the best time to do so. I will make a DC down the line, but right now I wanted to start out with Marvel.
I also want to here your ideas for pairings for Rex... because I have next to no clue who to pair him with. He'll be in his early 20's in the beginning of this story, so that's a thing.
Anyway, I'm stalling, so let's begin.
Ch.1 Thrill Me
I'm sure you already know the story by now, but for those who don't, I'll go through the highlights.
About thirteen years ago, my Earth was caught in the Nanite Event. It was an explosion caused by a scientist named Van Kleiss that infected the entire planet with these tiny machines called nanites.
These machines remained dormant in most people, but there would some cases where the nanites would go insane and turn people into monsters. Monsters we called EVOs.
And that's where Providence came in, they were in charge with subduing EVOs and trying to find a cure for them. They then found their answer to both when... well when they met me.
Who am I..? Well, my name is Rex Salazar, and I am a living weapon.
I was an EVO to, still am actually, but unlike most, I had control of my nanites, and Providence used me to not only take down other EVOs, but to cure them. I also had a severe case of amnesia, and had no idea what my life was like before the Nanite Event.
Soon enough though, I had to face a whole array of EVOs, including the Pack. They're a group of EVOs who wanted EVO supremacy on the planet. They were lead by Van Kleiss, the very same one who started the whole mess.
After a year of fighting him, though, I cured him and not long after the entire Earth of nanites, yet I kept mine. I also regained all my memories so that's a plus. That was a little over seven years ago. Though let's skip to about a year ago, where I'm actually about to retire from the hero game permanently seeing the world didn't need me anymore. It was the day HE showed up. The two of us fought, but it seemed no matter how hard I fought, or which build I used... he was to strong.
The end result was the loss of my Earth, but somehow, me and a friend were saved by a Time Walker named Professor Paradox. He was seemingly a friend of a friend of mine named Ben Tennyson, a hero from another Earth.
Now me and my best friend and partner Bobo are stuck on this Earth, trying to start over and well... the call for action never stops it seems.
Let's start from where I officially re-entered the hero business.
New York City, it's called the Big Apple, in this universe though, it's the super powered capital of the world. It's also home to several super hero teams, like the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men. Though where there are heroes... there are also villains.
Like as of right now, where six of them were currently causing mayhem in Times Square, trying to draw out a certain web slinger in yet another revenge plot.
The first and the one running through the wall of police cars was a mountain of a man with a gray armored suit that strikingly resembled a rhinoceros. The helmet on his did aswell, with two horns on top of his head the back one significantly smaller than the front one as he also had wo glowing blue eyes. He is Alexander "Alex" O'Hirn, or better known as The Rhino.
The next man, who was lashing out with his giant tail, was in dark green armor and had three clawed hands and two clawed feet. He had an orange visor on his helmeted head, and a long scorpion-like tail with a toxic green tipped stinger. He is MacDonald "Mac" Gargan, the villian known as Scorpion.
Next, and unleashing yellow, electrical blasts down at civilians, though fortunately not hitting any, was a bald headed man with was seemed to be a burnt face. He had a yellow shirt with a leather jacket that had some form a metal armor over the main part with wires going down the sleeves. He also was wearing black pants and boots, and electricity was coming off of him. He is Maxwell "Max" Dillon, or as he likes to call himself Electro.
Next, who was sending out blasts at the police officer themselves was a man in brown and yellow armor. It covered his entire body, with a helmet that glowed orange in the eye sockets. On his hands were slightly oversized brown gauntlets made to send out energy blasts. He is Herman Schultz, the Shocker. "Come on out Spider-Man!" he shouted out as he sent a car flying.
In the air, a winged man was using the razor sharp edges of his wings to cause the side of the building to come crashing down. He was a bald man in green and black armor, with the bottom half of his face covered in a beak-like facemask. He had green wings with black, bladed tips and was propelled through the air with a booster with some kind of green energy. He is Adrian Toomes, the Vulture.
"It may seem that he isn't around," said the sixth figure. He was a man with brown hair, and a receding hairline. He was dressed in an army green and black jump suit, with black boots, gloves, and goggles. On his back were for large, mechanic arms that were similar to tentacles on an octopus, if said tentacles had pincers l8ke those on a claw machine and the tips of the pincers glowed yellow. He was Doctor Otto Octavius, but now known as Doctor Octopus, and leader of the Sinister Six. The greatest enemies of Spider-Man.
He didn't partake in the destruction as he was preparing on what to do when their little nuisance shows up. Little did he, or the rest of the Six know, they weren't getting a Spider.
It was at that moment that a news helicopter flew into the scene, but was quickly struck by Electro just for the fun of it. The aircraft then lost control as it began to crash down towards the ground.
Before the helicopter could crash though, it was caught out fo the sky by a long black tentacle with blue circuitry. It was gently placed in the ground before the tentacle disappeared. It was then a new voice spoke. "You guys are so very discreet," it said with total sarcasm.
When they all turned around, Doctor Octopus' eyes narrowed as Rhino and Scorpion now stood to his left, Shocker and Electro to his right and Vulture kept above him. "You're not the annoying arachnid." Doc Ock told the figure.
The man, around the age twenty-three with slicked back, black hair and brown eyes who was of Latin descent, was in black combat boots and combat pants, both seeming to have blue highlights which looked to be like circuitry. He was wearing a black shirt now aswell, unlike his old shirt from back when he was a teen. He still had his red-orange jacket with orange rings around sleeves, as well as within the jacket. He also had his signature goggles, which he placed over his eyes with his black gloved hands.
"No, I don't think I am. I know I couldn't pull off the spandex," he said amusingly as he crack his knuckles, "but I'll be more than what you can handle."
That made Scorpion growl out. "And who do you think you are?"
The man couldn't help but smirk as his hands started to glow with blue circuitry. "The name's Rex... now thrill me!"
Scorpion was about to charge the newcomer, but an arm from Octavius stopped him. "No need to waste your talents on this inferior individual," he told Scorpion, "Rhino, have your fun."
Rex kept his smirk as the largest individual charged right at him. The nanites within his hands began to do their thing as he walked forward and pulled back a punch. That's when his arm shifted from a normal arm into a giant, orange and gray, mechanical gauntlet that with a single punch, sent Rhino flying past the rest of the Sinister Six and crashing into the side of a building.
The other members of the Six turned and saw Rhino laying unconscious with his suit all dented and parts sticking out. They turned back to Rex, who formed the same build, his Smack Hands as he calls them, on his other arm. He then held one of his giant metal fists out and did the multiversal sign of 'bring it on'.
"Break him," Octavius ordered, "show this newbie what happens when someone messes with the Sinister Six."
That's when the four remaining members charged at Rex, who simply just waited. It was Vulture who reached him first as he tried to slice him with his wings. To the surprise of the avian villian though, Rex caught one of the metallic wings with ease before tossing him to the side. While he did this, he formed his other arm into a blue circular, energy shield he calls the Block Party.
He did that just as he was about to receive both a projectile energy blast and and electrical strike. Both were deflected from the shield before he deactivated both builds and back flipped out of the way from Scorpion. The tail from the villian striking where he once stood at. Just as his legs grew giant mechanical boots known as his Punk Busters and proceeded to round house the arachnid themed villain into a nearby van.
Shocker then got in close and tried to send energy enhanced strikes at the EVO. Rex though, due to his training from six, which he took a lot more seriously after turning eighteen, began to dodge the attacks with ease before. He then used his enhanced strength to catch one of the fists and used his technopathic abilities to render the gauntlet on Shocker useless. "What did you do to it!?" said villain demanded as he swung his other fist, with the same results happening. Rex then proceeded to knock the villain out with a normal fist, though the strength was more than an average human.
Then on reflex, he managed to roll out of the way from a close range electric projectile. Electro then came in and tried to land a hit on him. Rex could only smirk as he form giant navy blue nunchucks, which he refers as Fun Chucks, and proceeded to swing them together, with Electro unfortunately caught in the middle of them. The impact caused an energy surge which nailed the electric powered villain point blank, when he backed off, Electro tried to recover only for one of the Fun Chucks to crash on top of him. Rex then checked to see if he was knocked out, just as a few small missiles came at him. It caused the EVO to get blasted off his feet, not really hurt, but rather surprised.
When he got up, he looked up to see Vulture flying overhead. "Have fun reaching me you freak," Vulture taunted. Though, unfortunately for him, Rex had a fun idea. "You think I can't reach you? Alright then..." he then formed a large cannon like weapon from his arm that rested on his shoulder. This was the Slam Cannon, sure he could've used the Boogie Pack or the Sky Slyder... but where's the fun in that. "Well maybe you don't mind that if I can slam you."
Rex then proceeded to use the cannon's maw to pick up a piece of pavement and timed the shot just right as he then fired a large ball of concrete, which connected with one of the wings. This made Vulture lose balance momentarily, but it was enough for Rex to form his Punk Busters again and leaped into the air. Next thing the villain knew, a large mechanical boot made him crash into the pavement.
"Consider yourself punk busted," Rex told the bird themed villain before he was sent flying back into a car, courtesy of a recovered Scorpion. He didn't look happy. "It's gonna take more than one strong kick to keep me down!" he declared as he charged forward.
"I would hope at least one of you would be a challenge," Rex said as he formed a large navy blue back pack and a black tentacle-like whip with blue circuitry in it. The Blast Caster.
As Scorpion shot out his tail, the whip reached out and wrapped around the tail. The villain tried to break free, but it was to late as he then felt quite a shock coming from the whip as Rex released shockwaves into the villain. Not enough to really cause damage, but enough to knock him out, and soon enough Scorpion was down. "Okay, so that's Rhino, Electro, Shocker, Vulture, and Scorpion dealt with," Rex said to himself as he was unaware that Doc Ock's mechanical arms were coming for him. "Who was that last guy again? Doctor Squid? Cuttlefish?"
He was then grabbed by around both the waste and throat by Doc Ock's arms. He didn't really act as if he was screwed though, as he was lifted off and spun to face the leader of the Sinister Six. "It's Doctor Octopus," Octavius said through gritted teeth.
Rex smirked as he stealthily began to use his technopathic abilities to take control of the arms. He just had to keep the villain distracted. "You sure, I mean, would these be tentacles if that was the case. You know, no claws?
"Your inferior intellect must be blinding your ability to point out that my name makes more sense then one thinks," Octavius said as he was about to choke the EVO out, but he then noted Rex's grin. Rex then decided to give him a surprise. "And you're inferior intellect must be blinding you to the fact that I'm a technopath... and I just took control of your arms."
Before Doc Ock could react, one of his own arms wrapped around him as the two who had Rex let him go. The EVO then sent a message to the arms to gather the other villains, which they obeyed as three of them moved to grabbed Electro and Vulture with one arm as the other two walked them, along with a struggling Octavius towards the unconscious Rhino. Rex formed his Smack Hands and dragged Scorpion will grabbing Shocker over to the group. He then used his technopathic abilities on Scorpion's tail as it and Ock's arms began to wrap around the Sinister Six, tying them up as Rex wrote a little letter for a certain spider to find.
Otto had a few words to say to him as he did this though. "You think you've won!? Well don't celebrate so soon, we'll be out soon enough. And when we do, we'll-" Ock was interrupted by a blast to the back of the head, knocking him out. "He was really starting to get annoying," said a new voice.
Rex looked behind the now unconscious lead villain, a long with the other tied up ones, to see an all to familiar chimpanzee EVO who was dressed in a now black and blue version of his old attire, an eye patch over his left eyes, and his signature red fez on his head. He also had two red blasters, one that was currently in his hand as he just fired it. He is Bobo Haha, Rex's best friend and partner. "It feels good to be back in the game, does it chief?" he asked Rex with a smirk.
"I had him," Rex stated, kinda bummed the last villain wasn't knocked out by him.
Bobo only shrugged. "It doesn't really matter now, the mad doctor and his goons have been dealt with."
"True," Rex said as he then formed a hovercraft-like motorcycle build he calls the Rex Rider. "So where to now?"
"I can go for one of those smoothies you like so much," Bobo said as he climbed on. This made his fellow EVO smirk. "Then to the smoothie joint we go!" Rex chanted as he took off, right as a certain web slinger swung in.
He was in his casual red, white, and blue suit with the black webbing as he landed in front of the six tied up villain. "I'd say Ock, I'm out on Avengers' business for one day and you guys cause quite a wreck," he said, reckoning the mad scientist was awake, only to notice he wasn't. "Oh, unconscious... that's a first. What's this?"
He then picked up a letter and began to read it over. "Thought you could use a hand while you were out, Spidey. They weren't really happy to see me though, talk about a tough crowd. Don't know how you put up with that kind of attitude, but anyway here are the Not-So-Sinister Six. - Gen Rex."
After reading the letter, he looked at the six tied up, unconscious villains and grinned. At least someone got what it meant to have a tough crowd, his comedics were not something to be wasted. Though, it was nice that someone else stepped up and fought them for a change. If he ever met this Gen Rex, he should probably thank him.
Still, he better call in some boys in blue to take these six away before they woke up. God only knows how pissed they'll be to see him after they were already beaten.
Okay, before anyone can get mad at how easily Rex took down Rhino, who along with the rest of the Six are basically their PS4 designs (So was Spider-Man for that matter, reason I didn't really go into detail), I can explain. From what I have seen, Rex can level buildings with a single punch and had fought Humonousaur, one of Ben's stronger aliens, on even ground.
So get mad all you want, it was my choice at the end.
Also, I skipped the whole 'Rex loses everything' part and fast forward about a year. Which gave him plenty of time to mourn before he stepped back into the action.
For pairings though... it'll be decide by you people. Me personally, thinking about Ghost Spider, because it's interesting to me for some reason. Though, I'd like to hear your guy's opinions on the matter.
