"Regretting my decision...To not..." I was cut off as more blood filled my lungs forcing me to cough it up "I'm not...coming back...from this." I winced as some extra weight landed on my chest lifting my head slowly taking in what had hit my chest "Caliburn." I coughed up more blood as I lost feeling in my limbs "she's gonna kill me for dying." groaning as my vision began to fade and off in the distance a mop of blonde hair sprinting across the battlefield "to slow little lion ." As those words escaped my lips everything went blank.

"Master I don't really get why your attempting another summons right after calling me forth, your luck seems to be extremely bad as is. Why waste even more of Chaldea's resources." Mordred smirk towards her master as the helm of her armor shifted to become part of her chest piece forcing Dion to groan "Mash how it going on the new circle." Dion asked as he began to Fidget with his metal fragment necklace causing the pale haired Demi-servant to glance back " the summoning circle is almost finished Senpai." She said before quickly returning back to the task at hand allowing the knight of treachery to pitch in "Hey master why don't you try using a catalyst or something this time to spice it up, maybe even toss that piece of scrap metal in. What is that anyway?" As she gestured towards Dion's necklace which was resting just above the straps on the front of his white Chaldea uniform "This little thing I doubt it, I got this from my father several years back when he still worked his forge it's the only thing I still have left to remember him by. This thing is just a small piece of a old sword he had picked up during his time in England." Dion stated as Mordred shrugged before swiping the shard from his necklace tossing it onto the circle. " Hey!" Dion snapped as The room was filled with a bright light and the distinct clinking of metal plates as soon as Dion regained his senses he turn to the center of the room where his necklace had landed stood a teen dressed in a light brown tunic, grey pants, and a loose green coat held by several straps of leather. Mordred who was standing to Dion's right tensed up at the sight of the man in the center of the room opening his eyes the heroic spirit smirked at the sight of the three before him "saber class servant Emric at your service." He said for casting a glance towards Mordred "little lion?"

"Merlin I've completed those tasks you asked me to do! Merlin?" I groaned as I forced the door to the perverts workshop taking a couple of steps forward as the door shut behind me taking in the sight of the unorganized mess that was Merlin's workshop I sighed seeing that my small workplace had two swords sitting on top of it. Picking up the closest of the two I unsheathed it expecting to have to extend my arm farther away but was surprised when the blade turned out to only be half the length of the sheath "the blade is broken, fractured on three different layers. I can work with it though." I muttered to myself placing the sword down before picking up the other receiving my earlier expected result grumbling at my own undoing promptly sheathing the blade turning back towards the broken sword and its sheath reaching over taking the sheath in my left hand and the sword in my right I held them both up in front of my body eyeing them both before setting them back down "if he isn't back I guess I have some free time huh." I sighed glancing down at the swords once more before shaking my head 'next time' I thought to myself as I made my way back out the front door onto one of the many side roads of the town of Roan taking a brief moment to look up into the sky sighing before turning and making my way down the dirt path towards the outskirts of town where a small clearing with a single tree resided. As I began walking occasionally I would run into some of the townsfolk I would help while I was out on errands for Merlin, greeted me with a nod or even wave of their hand prompting me to return the gesture. As I neared the edge of town I could barely hear the sounds of the townsfolk and even a pair of kids who were playing knights a shack over which reminded me of how I acted when I was younger it was nice to see kids looking passed the condition of their homes.

Once I made it to the clearing I took a seat against the tree with my legs crossed in front of me before I closed my eyes and began to concentrate 'Picture my trigger.' I thought to myself as images from my life flowed into my mind times when life was simple, before I ever met Merlin, it was quickly replaced with the image of a bone snapping back into place as I felt my magic circuits activating I let out a sigh 'step one measure how much each limb can be reinforced.' I thought as I held my arms out watching the magic circuits on them flare until I felt a stinging pain going through them ' step two regulate the reinforcements.' I mentally checked off as the pain slowly disappeared from my forearms taking note that my right arm was only reinforced up to the elbow while the left was all the way up to the shoulder. "Practicing your magecraft without me and in the open no less." Someone called from behind me causing my whole body to freeze and my concentration to shatter "What a bad student you are Emric."

(Chaldea)

"Master can I kill him." Mordred hissed knocking Dion out of his trance "no don't do that Mordred this is technically your fault anyway." Dion said before quickly turning towards Emric whole was standing patiently studying whatever he was holding in his hand "Eh master by any chance is this yours?" Emric asked holding out the necklace "Yes actually that's what was used to summon you." Dion stated taking it and putting it back around his neck " Mordred over here thought it would be a bright idea to throw it into the summoning circle to quote on quote spice things up." He continued receiving a nod of understanding from Emric. "Senpai, you should probable inform him of our current predicament." Mash said receiving a nod from Dion "right right, sorry about that I'm still not use to all of this, Emric how much information has the grail given you?" Dion asked as Emric crossed his arms tilting his head slightly " from what I can tell it's given me the bare minimum I need to work, this holy grail war is different than most it keeps talking about repairing singularities." He groaned taking a moment to glance at Mordred "What are you looking at!" Mordred snapped making Emric rub his neck " Nothing you just really remind me of someone I knew when I was alive." Emric stated which visible pissed off Mordred "If you don't mind me asking what legend are you from Emric, your name doesn't sound familiar to me?" Mash asked making her presence known again " I'm not known in any legends just a unofficial student to a perverted Mage." He shrugged as Mordred scoffed at his remark "That's interesting you're not the first to come here without a legend that binds them." Dion muttered with his hand brought to his chin drawing both Mordred's and Emric's attention "Your not talking about the cook are you master." Mordred groaned as Emric adopted a look of confusion.

"Master I'll be in the training room when you're ready for your season." Mordred stated as she departed from the group wandering down the empty white hallway receiving a nod from Dion before they entered into the mess hall "Master take a seat at the counter lunch is almost ready." A voice called from the back of the mess hall as Dion and Emric both took a seat at the counter "So your taking lessons from Mordred, kinda didn't expect that." Emric stated propping his head up on his hand " yeah after the first singularity she insisted I pull my own weight when we're on the move."Dion shrugged "The first couple training seasons were hell on earth it was mostly cardio and weight training followed by sword practice, since I have no knowledge of magic to be able to do anymore that use mystic codes." Dion stated making a quick gesture towards his uniform "That sounds about right, when I first learned how to use a sword my teacher insisted I practice magic at the same time it was an interesting feeling to have your bones knit back together when you apply a reinforcement incorrectly on your arm during a swing." Emric shuddered remembering that particular training season. "Sorry about that master the rice took a bit longer to cook than usual." The servant called as he made himself known sliding the plate out in front of Dion "You summoned another servant, I thought you were talking to Mordred for a minute there." He stated as Dion took a bite of the rice on his plate before giving a nod to the white haired man.

"Oh right Emric meet one of the first heroic spirits I summoned during the first singularity this is Archer class servant Emiya and Emiya this is Saber class servant Emric." Dion said introducing the two servants to each other. "I can't seem to place what legend your from Emric that's disturbing, to say the least." Emiya stated as he cast a glance towards the swords sheathed at Emric's side "Can I see your swords for a moment Emric I want to confirm something." Emiya asked making a small gesture for Emric to set them on the table. "I can only show you one since the other isn't mine to hand out to anyone it's very picky of who handles it." Emric stated before drawing the first sword from its sheath setting the broken blade on the table causing Emiya to freeze up before correcting himself "So that's where it's been." He muttered as Emric's past came from the sword glancing back at the swordsman in question who was rubbing his neck slightly " You used structural analysis on it didn't you." Emric responded rubbing his neck receiving a nod from Emiya "We can talk about it some other time, right now I'm a little curious on Mordred's training regiment, If you don't mind me tagging along master." Emric asked turning towards Dion snapping him out of his train of thought "Yeah that's perfectly fine, we should get going is though Mordred tends to get cranky when I show up late." Dion stated as he stood stretching before they left the room.

"Master what took you so long for a second I thought you were wimping out on training for today like last time." Mordred scoffed as we entered the room she glared at me for a split second " You brought him along, Master?" She groaned as I shrugged "I wanted to spar before you started his training." I remarked placing my hand on my sword as mordred stood from her squatted position her armor appearing on her person as the helmet mechashifted around her head. " Step into the ring then." Mordred smirked as I stepped up activating the magic circuits in my arms feeling a new sensation course through them different than what it felt like when I was still alive it was pure. Taking a moment I dismissed my glove flexing my hand examining the scars on my hand before my glove reappeared on my hand "Ready" I smirked as mordred charged me time seemed to slow as my Caliburn glowed for a brief moment as I drew Næġling from its sheath holding the broken sword to my Side " Wielding a broken sword against a knight, are you mocking me jackass!" Mordred yellled charging me in a burst of lightning ducking to the side I brought Næġling up parrying Clarent towards the ground slamming my armored boot down on the blade throwing my elbow into her helmet forcing her to stumble back with a growl she charged once more as I continued parrying "Red Lightning, Fight back dammit!" She boomed pulling Clarent into a downward strike sparks of pure red electricity formed around her and the sword "Fine." I shrugged drawing back Næġling muttering the phrase "Strike Air" as a large gust of air formed around Næġling and when it made contact with Clarent and Mordred's Red Lightning it exploded against the Red knight launching her into a wall. " Let's agree to disagree that it's my win, Red Lion." I smirked sheathing Næġling back on my side as Dion started clapping from the the corner of the room that he had barricaded " How did you do that so fast?" I asked only for him to shrug as I turned towards Mordred who was kneeling with her helmet mechshifted it her armor "You good?" I asked as I made my way over to her standing a couple feet away. "Shut up." She Barked standing up fully as Dion made his way over "So can we begin my lessons again?" He asked, prompting Mordred to growl before nodding yes. For the next hour I spent observing Dion's ruthless training by drill instructor Mordred 'Huh,never used that term before' I mentally pondered before getting dragged from my train of thought by the intercom going off "Dion this is Roman we've got a new singularity that just appeared." Roman's voice cut off as the intercom died out "Guess it's time for us to go." Dion groaned as I helped him up off the floor as Mordred stood impatiently by the door.
