"Toilet papering the entire school."
"Ever since this girl has entered our premises, it's been one disaster after another."
I snickered as I evesdropped on my 'wonderful' principal and her assistant, discussing a grave, grave problem, me. Eh, it's not like I'll be expelled. The worse they can do is detention. Boring, yes. But new, nah. Dad'll take care of it. His job took practically everything away from me. It's only fair I take advantage of his job, too. It's only a matter of time before they call me in for a long lecture, which... Actually, I'm not sure what it's supposed to do. Might as well wait here. Sorry? Ah, yes. You probably have no idea who the monkeysusingacalculator I am. Piper Mclean here. School troublemaker. Hottest girl alive. Sad backstory that basically every main character has. Opens up to potential love interest introduced in 2nd chapter. Totally not a fanfic character. Totally not breaker of 4th wall. I sat down on the bench put conveniently close to the principal's office. How do you pass time? Counting devil sheep? Ah, no. That's the trick to sleeping. So that's why I got in trouble for sleeping in class when she was just trying to pass time. Imagining sheep with devil's horns when I was so occupied with not doing algebra had been a hard task, but I being a dedicated student had managed to execute the task almost flawlessly with the detention a clear hitch in the plan. I suddenly heard footsteps a sat up straight. Jason Grace came jogging, his lips slightly parted, tiny huffs of breath exitting and entering, along the pathway that came to a dead end at the dreaded cell of horrors a.k.a the principal's office. he came to a haltfor a millisecond when he looked at me, then directed his utmost attention to the door that led to our principal, Mrs. Jones, and without losing a beat, entered it. Jason Grace. School poster boy. Prefect extraordinaire. Golden boy. Basketball state champ going next year for nationals. Known as the boy who flies. Our thunder. Our Spark. Our bleurghhh! Sometimes I wonder if he even knows what detention means. the door swished open as Ms. Jones came out led by Jason, nodding eagerly, her attention on him. Jason smiled a full genuine smile and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't slightly dreamy. But whatevs. Jason gave a hasty good bye and jogged off as the bell went off. Ms Jones turned around, a fond smile still on her face, one that said that she had just seen her own child and boy was she proud of who they grew up to be, then her eyes fell on me and the expression evaporated. She gave an exasperated, resigned sigh.
" Come on in, Ms. Mclean."
