"Have we got everything, Catalina?" Angry asked her sister. A few weeks ago, Rapunzel invited them, Varian, and Lance to a sleepover she and Eugene were holding. Since then, the girls have been planning what they would bring.
"I think we do," replied Catalina. "I mean, we've only been planning what to bring for two weeks."
Angry rolled her eyes at the comment, but said nothing. She simply continued packing all of her necessities. 10 minutes later, they were both packed and ready to go. "We better hurry, we're already late," said Angry after looking outside. The sun had begun to set, and Rapunzel had said to be there before the sun set.
"Alright, let's go." With that, the former thieves left their treehouse and headed to the castle. (Lance had left earlier to help Rapunzel and Eugene set up.)
ooooooooooo
"We're here!" called Catalina as she and Angry entered the castle.
"Red! Angry! How nice to see you two again," said Eugene as they came in. Catalina mumbled something under her breath that Eugene couldn't quite make out. "Come again?" he asked.
"It's Catalina, not Red," replied the redhead, a slight hint of annoyance in her voice. She wondered how he forgot so easily that she hated the name Red when she made it very clear the last time she reminded him. Last time when Eugene had called her Red, she had begun to yell like no one has yelled before, so she was sure that after that, he'd never forget to call her Catalina again. Apparently not.
"Right. Sorry about that Catalina," replied the former thief, making sure to use the girl's preferred name. "You two are the last ones here, so Blondie made me wait for you guys."
"Told you we should have gone faster," whispered Angry. Her sister just rolled her eyes. It had been Angry's fault they were late, not hers. Angry insisted that they check their bags 10 times before leaving. Ten! And if it weren't for Catalina, Angry would have made them check even more times.
ooooooooooo
Eugene led the girls to the throne room, which is where they assumed the sleepover was. When they arrived, they saw Varian and Ruddiger, Lance, and Cassandra. They hadn't known she was going to be invited, but seeing how Cassandra is one of Rapunzel and Eugene's best friends, it makes sense. Rapunzel came over to greet them with Pascal on her shoulder. After they were settled, Angry turned to her sister and whispered, "What do we do now? I've never been to one of these."
"I haven't either," Catalina whispered back. "I've been with you my whole life. Remember?"
"What are you girls whispering about?" said a voice behind them. They turned around to see Varian was watching them from his sleeping bag. The girls looked at each other, silently asking the other if they could trust Varian. Once Angry nodded, Catalina turned to Varian and explained that they had never been to a sleepover. "Don't worry, you two. I've never been to one myself either. I guess when you isolate yourself in a lab and then become a villain, you don't really get invited to things." They all laughed at this until Lance said it was time for scary stories. According to him, it was the most important part of a sleepover. According to Eugene, it was the most important part of a camping trip, not a sleepover.
After some arguing, it was decided that only those who wanted to tell scary stories would tell them. It turned out to be a really short story time because the only ones who wanted to tell scary stories were Lance, and Pascal. Lance's story was about a ghost (Typical, thought Angry). Pascal's story was about a boot. In a sense, Pascal's story was a scary one considering how small he is.
Maybe this sleepover wasn't going to be a complete disaster.
