Crime Scene.

Hey guys, i posted this on crossover but couldn't find it, then eventually i did. So, i'm guessing most of you would have the same problem that's why i'm posting it here too. For those who found it , it's the same thing, chapter two will be posted here tomorrow though. I hope and pray you are all well. Here's a little something to keep you company in this trying time of Covid 19 as we stay indoors all over the world. Fear not, this too shall pass. I hope you like and enjoy this fic. This is a crossover with 24, most of you know Jack Bauer, i'm sure. For those who don't know him, he's a crazy guy, crazier than McGarrett for some but adorable. I wrote this a long time ago, just had not posted it yet. Let me know you're still out there and ok- my prayers are with you. So, here's to the end of H50- we'll miss the team.

Chapter 1

If you prick up, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die? And if you wrong us, should we not revenge?

...

He had been hiding under a rock for too long, two years to be precise. But they had managed to draw him out, to Hawaii no less! Jack Bauer didn't mind the humid temperatures, he could pretty much live anywhere, whatever the weather. It was just this place was too 'happy happy'. Was he supposed to go around in a sunny flower shirt too? Jack made his way into the Warehouse, gun drawn, eyes sharp, but it was really just out of habit, they had him but good. If the meeting went well they would take him and let his daughter go, hopefully they would give him the location of the sarin gas as well. They had promised to let him pass that information to his contact and Jack believed them. All they really wanted was Jack and they had gone above and beyond to get him, apparently not believing that holding his daughter hostage alone would be enough. They could not be too sure if Jack would come out of hiding just for that. The guy would sooner give his own daughter for the good of the country, at least that's what they would have thought. They had seen him give up as much for the good of that damn country of his, his own father, brother, his friends, if anyone was unwise enough to choose to be. Jack had even had to kill them himself, for the good of the country. It was a well-known fact to those who knew him and they wouldn't be too wrong about that. They had probably thought, 'why not hold the whole country at ransom while we're at it, just to be sure', rightly guessing that threatening the country alone wouldn't persuade Jack to show himself. These kinds of threats were not unique and there were plenty of Agencies that were more than capable of handling them. CTU could probably do it alone blind folded, that was their job after all. His enemies should not have gone to all this trouble though, Jack mused. Just getting to Kim was checkmate enough, but the Russians were big on overdoing things.

Jack didn't care much about being a hostage yet again, of the Russians this time and these guys wanted him bad. The Chinese too, they still thought they had a shot at breaking him and frankly, Jack knew that every other International Agency would pay gold to have his head, or at least the information stored in there. They had tried but they could never break him. But the Russians knew how to up the stakes and draw him out, it was payback time and they didn't play fair. This was not just another terrorist threat on US soil, this was a personal vendetta to get to Jack. Sometimes he was amazed at just how many higher ups, local and international, he had managed to piss off. He was out, he was dead, damn it! For the sake of his family and anyone he has ever called friend, he was dead. Especially after his last stint with the Russians, reason why he was 'dead'. There was a very good reason for that.

Then just yesterday Chloe had called him on his burner phone and he knew it was not just to say, 'hi'.

"Jack, it's good to hear your voice."

"It's good to hear your voice too Chloe." Jack said, already impatient for the reason she had called. Calling on this phone meant trouble and Chloe stalling meant it was going to be unpleasant. She wasn't big on pleasantries and Jack was already impatient and irritated by whatever it was. "What is it Chloe?"

"Jack, it's Saravov. He's got some virus and he's been…"

Jack sure knew the man, he was one of his 'acquaintances' who would want his head on a platter just as badly as everyone else. Still Jack failed to see why this was his problem as he was supposed to be 'dead'. Nothing was going to get him from under that rock and Chloe should have known better.

"Chloe, I'm sure any Government Agency can handle that. I'm sure CTU is able to handle this without me. Why the hell did you call me?!"

"Jack, he…it seems he knows you're not …dead."

He did? How? Still why…? "Chloe, all the more reason for you not to have called me on this number…"

"He's got Kim."

Silence

"Jack?"

"Yeah…umm…what do you mean he's got Kim?"

"Your daughter Jack, Kim…"

"I know who my daughter is Chloe just…damn it! How the hell did this happen?!" Jack hissed.

Damn it damn it damn it! How did he get his hands on Kim? Jack's head was already spinning.

"I don't know Jack, I just thought you should know." Chloe said grudgingly. "He wants to flush you out, and he's holding Kim and the whole country at ransom. He's going to release that virus just to get you out. No one else knows I'm calling you since they all think you're dead but…I thought you should know." Chloe said in that 'I told you so, take it or leave it, I was just trying to do you a favor' tone.

Jack sighed in despair, spinning around on his heel just to try and get some control. If Saravov was holding Kim there was only one explanation for it, he knew Jack was alive and was trying to flush him out by hurting the people close to him. Just to get the chip that Jack was supposed to have 'died' with, destroyed in the fire that supposedly burned Jack to ash. The last op that had pissed off Saravov so much had been a crucial National Security matter, one which the Government was not going to be held accountable, as usual. His was the only face the Russian Government, hiding behind a Mafia Diplomat, Saravov, could pin to the crime scene. Jack had very convincingly perished in a car bomb that day. Before that last job, before his second fake death, Jack had made sure that Kim was in protective custody, fake name and all. No way Saravov knew about Kim, not unless somebody had helped him. Somebody had snitched and he would find out who!

"How the hell did he find her, Chloe? Damn it! Doesn't anyone know how to do their jobs anymore?!"

"Well, he found out Jack, he's not exactly dense you know. There was no leak, we've already looked. Saravov hacked our system and used a …"

Chloe was about to go into technical detail and Jack didn't have the time or patience for it right now. His daughter was in Saravov's hands and he had to move. Jack thanked Chloe, cutting her explanation short and simultaneously started giving her orders as he went for his 'go' bag. He couldn't resist a curse as he hung up the phone.

"Damn it!"

Now, a day and half later, here he was at the meet, about to handover the data that Saravov had demanded. Of course he had a backup plan, after he had Kim safe that is. The President had signed off on it after what was more like angry threatening than persuasion from Jack. The President owed him damn it! This was a chip holding crucial National Security information and should never be in enemy hands but they had his daughter and she was Jack's life. And the President owed him! The President had to know that whatever crucial information was on that chip was also stored in Jack's head, even more so. Jack would give anything for his country, he had almost died for it countless times. His loyalty was never to be questioned but it was unwise to keep pushing him just to see at what point he would break. He was also human and even he had only so much he could give. Having Jack for an enemy would be a very bad thing. So, the President had reluctantly agreed to Jack's plan, which undoubtedly put the country's security in jeopardy again but Jack had pledged that he would protect, with his Life, that information, but not his daughter's.

So, this was it, this was the moment to end this whole thing and maybe this was the moment he would die. He would not mind all that much, his number had been called up too many times, but somehow he always seemed to dodge the bullet. Now it didn't seem like things were going to swing his way again. Just as long as he got Kim out, he didn't care what happened to him. He has never cared what happened to him especially when it came to the people he cared about and this was his daughter. His daughter! So, it had been decided with that phone call, Jack was coming back from the dead to meet Saravov in Hawaii.

He had killed his comms with Chloe a moment ago, Saravov was not past killing Kim on the spot if any one of his rules was broken and one of those rules was 'no wires'. Jack wasn't about to play fast and loose with his daughter's life. In the Warehouse, Jack took a deep steadying breath, there were about six of Saravov's thugs there, including his right-hand man, Ivanovich. Jack was honored actually, Saravov had sent his right hand, no less. Of course he didn't expect Saravov himself to be there or to have Kim with him here, in turn Saravov should not have expected Jack to have his precious chip on him, neither one of them were stupid. The best he could expect from this meeting was a pat down, a beating and to be thrown at the back of an unidentified Van with a mask on, and then the games will begin. So far, everything was going according to plan.

Suddenly there was a, "5.0! Put your guns down!"

What the…? Who the…?

And then the Russians opened fire and Jack took cover as bullets started flying. Who the hell…?! What the hell was 5.0?! Jack cursed as he took cover behind a container, he was out gunned here and he really wasn't sure which side he was on. Damn local cops!

As soon as the fire ceased, he raised his own hands shouting, "Federal Agent, hold your fire! Federal Agent!"

It seemed that the so called 5.0 had won this round since they were still standing, pointing guns at him in suspicion as Jack came out from behind the crate, gun and hands raised. He was sooo going to chew them out for ruining this for him! HIS OP! But for now he had to play it cool while his well-planned op went to hell in a hand basket! He had no credentials. And this was so covert CTU didn't even know he was alive. Damn it!

…..

See you in a bit, God will keep.
