Konnichiwa minna! I have fallen in love with the Law x Luffy pair and so here is a story about them. Well, this is an AU. It is setup in the modern world. Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1

It was a fine evening in cafe cum restaurant Baratie. The staff working there were relaxing a bit as there were not too many customers. The shop was basically empty except two or three who minded their own business as they ate the food.

"Nee, did you hear that Kalifa from law stream was dumped by her boyfriend?", an orange haired girl named Nami asked.

"Nobody is interested in that stuff,witch", a green haired man with a scar on his one eye named Zoro replied.

"I am not talking to you", Nami replied a bit irritated. Zoro tsked at that.

"That is not the way to talk with ladies, shithead", a blonde with curly brow replied. His name was Sanji.

"And I am not talking to you, shitty cook", Zoro replied to Sanji and thus began their usual banter. Ignoring them Usopp, a boy with long nose said to Nami, "I heard that it was bound to happen."

"Yup, me too." Chopper a boy with brown hair and pink fuzzy top hat which has medical plus sign on it.

"Did someone said meat?" a black haired boy started drooling at the prospect of so called meat. He has a scar under his left eye and wore a strawhat. His name was Luffy. The so called leader or captain of this rag-tag group.

"No, Luffy we were talking about Kalifa." Nami replied to her captain. Luffy just ignored her at that since it was of no interest to him.

"Maybe I should ask that guy out. He is hot and rich too." Nami said dreamily and her eyes turned into bellies.

Sanji who heard her statement started crying in the background. Thus ensuring other fight between him and Zoro when Zoro called him 'pathetic love cook.'

"Who knows. Not interested." Luffy replied in a bored tone.

The door to Baratie had opened and closed indicating a customer has come. Everybody stopped slouching and got behind their work mask. Luffy who was now behind the order counter was staring at the customer who was looking at the menu behind him standing few feet away from the counter. His heart started beating fast as in when he gets excited for adventures. It was as if something started to click in place again.

'He is so handsome.' Luffy thought still looking at the customer.

The customer has grey eyes with dark eye bags under the eyes and a fluffy white cap with black spots on his head. The second thing he noticed was he had tattoos on his hands. Those were some symbols and the words D-E-A-T-H written on his knuckles.

He came to the counter and Luffy tried to compose himself quickly as he do not want Zeff - the owner or Sanji to kick him for not doing his work properly. Their kicks are worst than Garp's punches.

So he put a big grin on his face and said in his happy voice, "Good evening. Welcome to Baratie. Are you ready for giving your order?"

"One black coffee." came a smooth voice of the customer.

Hearing his voice Luffy so wanted to the customer to keep talking.

'The hell are you thinking Luffy, concentrate,' he scolded himself in his mind. After typing the order he asked-

"Anything else?"

"No," came a curt reply.

"Alright. 120 bellies." Luffy said after rounding off.

The man gave him 200 bellies and said to keep the change. From the side he can feel Nami radiating from happiness. He turned to take the order which Sanji made in no time and gave it to the customer.

"Thank you! Please visit again!" Luffy said giving him a friendly smile.

The customer took the coffee and left from their. Luffy's smiled started fading and instead a dreamy look came on his face.

"Wasn't he handsome? I want to hear his voice again…." he pondered loudly.

There was no reply from his friends. So he turned to look at them and was confused at why they were shocked.

"What?" He asked.

"Y-y-you did not said that." Nami was the one who recovered from the shock and pointed an accusing finger at him.

"Yup. I said that. What's the big deal. I want to see him again." He replied not understanding his friends and grinning at the prospect of seeing the customer again.

Chopper and Usopp started running around and screaming that the world is going to end. The others did not know what to say...
