It was dark. The sound of fluid was all I heard. I then realized my eyes were closed. Slowly I tried opening my eyes. I was in a fetal position floating in some weird green stuff. From outside I started to make out the faint sound of speaking. I however had no idea what was being said as I didn't understand the language that was being spoken. From my murky containment I could see blurry colourful shapes though the glass that separated me and them.
Soon I became more aware of my body. It felt like I had an extra appendage. Maybe a tail? My body felt more powerful than I remembered, but smaller somehow. The shapes seem to have realized I was awake and scurried around my tank. Muffled sounds came from the outside. More words I did not understand. After awhile I noticed that they were draining the tank. An annoying beeping sound became clearer with each second. Soon the tank was emptied. I had moved from my original position to a standing one. I could now make sense of the world around me.
What I saw confused me greatly. Everything seemed alien in nature and unnatural. The shapes from before was actually three alien scientists. They were watching me. Where they scared of me? I felt my tail twitch behind me. One approached me cautiously and handed me some clothes. I realized I wasn't wearing anything! Hiding my embarrassment I took the clothes. It confused me at first but I figured it out quickly enough as soon as I got dressed they led me to a enclosed room with an observation deck. I felt a sudden rush of excitement when I picked up the word that sounded like 'fight'. It seemed like I was slowly learning the language the aliens spoke, just by listening to them speak.
It was a fight indeed the moment the door closed on me I got attacked by green men. Saibamen. Out of instinct I punched the closest one. My fist made contact with its face. The impact send it flying into another Saibaman. The cultivated creatures soon ganged up on me. closing in on all sides. jumping back I rose my hands as I felt an energy gather in them. With a small high pitched yell I released the energy. It was yellow in color. The blast killed the first two Saibamen. As they where the closest to the blast. One stuck me from behind. It hit hard though did not cut though my skin. I cried out when I got kicked to the side and then smashed to the ground. The floor gave way and was bent by the force. The aunslaught continued until I finally broke free from them with a enraged scream. These things were annoying and hurting me! I lashed out at the closest one and shoved my fist right though it's chest. I pulled away quickly as it exploded.
Jumping back I rapid fired a few blasts at the rest. My blasts where extremely inaccurate as I missed most of them but hit the ones stupid enough to run at me. I eventually killed every Saibaman in the room. I was dead tired after that fight. The rush died down as I felt the full pain of the wounds I received during the battle. The sound of the door hissing caught my attention. The figures that stepped in made my blood run cold. I instantly recognized that being that now stood before me. Frieza… This confirmed the thought in the back of my mind. Just standing here in his presence was overwhelming.
The galactic tyrant seemed very pleased with himself. His tail twitching by his side. He was sitting in that weird hover chair thing of his. He motioned to me as he said understanding the language was quickly becoming a pain in the ass. Though I gathered that he wanted me to step forward. My tail twitched in a nervous manner. I made the right call as he used his tail to pull me forward and push me into something really big. With a slight bewildered look, I glanced up to see what I hit. Tall and muscular. It was Nappa, though he appeared slightly younger than he was shown in the show. Next to him was a slightly younger Vegeta. He had a furious look on his face. Like my very existence was an insult to him. Raditz wasn't far off as he eyed me with a disapproving glare. The only ones I seem to fully understand where the trio of Sayains. "Well at least it is strong enough to fight." Nappa spoke as I followed them to their sleeping quarters. "Frieza is really enjoying this pet project of his too much. I say we kill it now." Raditz growled in my direction. "Afraid that it will replace you Raditz?" Vegeta sneered at the low-class warrior. Raditz took offense to this."As if! That abomination is inferior to a true Sayain!" He boldly declared with a puff of his chest. I flinched at his words. I haven't spoken since I woke and I wasn't about to anytime soon. Raditz shot me a backwards glance as he got ready to lie down in his bed. I looked away in favor of examining the room. It was barren of any personal objects. Not surprising considering where we were. The room felt cold and oppressive. There was a changing station in the room at least. I limped over to the smallest bed. It was unfortunately located next to Vegeta's.
The prince scoffed at my presence. He then turned to me. "You better prove yourself to be useful, otherwise you will disgrace the mighty Sayain race even more!" He growled out stomping on my tail. I cried out in pain. The senasion bolted up my entire body. The prince smirked. "Do you understand?" He asked. I gave a weak nod. The pain was something I've never really experienced before. He lifted his foot from my tail. The injured apandage curled around my waist. "A true Sayain knows how to protect their weak points." He said with a tone of superiority. This was going to be hard. Really hard. Especially if they hated me for even being alive…
"Are we going to give it a name? It's going to get annoying refer to it as 'It' all the time." Raditz asked after an hour of silence. "Then name it yourself, Raditz, this experiment was made from your DNA after all." The prince said with an annoyed look on his face. I saw Raditz's face contort into a look of rage before he spoke. It came out calmer than I expected.
"Fine then," He turned to me. "You shall be known as Parznip." He declared after a short period time had past. Parznip… I could live with that name. I gave a small nod to this as I laid down on my new bed. It felt as uncomfortable as it looked. After a few more mocking words from Vegeta the room grew quite once more. I found myself drifting off into a restless sleep, with one thought on my mind. They didn't bother to put me in a rejuvenation machine.
