Lincoln Loud somberly sat right on the bright blue sofa in the living room of the Loud-Santiago-Casagrande-McBride Apartment that he shared with his best friends for life and lovebirds and true family members. his eyes were bright red from crying all day long. his mouth formed a trembling frowning face and the residue of dried tear drops stained his face. Lincoln's eyes once again became glossy with tear drops that were threatening to spill over at any single minute just as he re-watched the ending of the previous Loud House episode.

"Lincoln, there's something I need to tell you." Ronnie Anne began just before the tape had already ended. A silent sob escaped from Lincoln's lungs just as fresh tear drops had began cascading right down his face. right after Ronnie Anne had said those words, Lincoln heard the most tragic, depressing and heartbreaking news he heard in his entire life. Lincoln got right up from the sofa and walked right over to the television screen. Lincoln slumped right back down into the sofa.

"Hi there, everybody, I'm Ronnie Anne Santiago," Ronnie Anne sighed heavily on the verge of tear drops as her best friend for life and 1 true love stood right next to him.

"and I'm Lincoln Loud." Lincoln's voice cracked a bit just as he struggled to hold back his own tear drops.

"I never wanted to make a presentation like this. I never thought I would need to make a presentation like this, but Lincoln and I have some super unfortunate news to share with all of you. on April 9th, 2020, at 4:39 PM, we lost Mr. Grouse." Ronnie Anne solemnly admitted to the video camera. she and Lincoln both began sobbing silently the very minute that Ronnie Anne had finished relaying the tragic, depressing and heartbreaking news.

"H-H-H-H-He had a dark black mole of an unknown cancer on the left side of his neck. but by the time he noticed it, it was way too late...the mole had spread way too far and way too deep for the dr.'s and nurse to be able to remove it." Ronnie Anne continued between sobs and weeps.

"I really miss him more than anything." Lincoln said to himself between sobs and weeps ever since this was truly the very 1st death in Great Lakes City that he had ever experienced.

"We all miss him more than anything, but he's with the ghostly heaven spirits right now and he's not suffering any longer. he was in so much pain..." Ronnie Anne sniffed depressingly at the memory of how ill Bud Grouse appeared when he was in the hospital.

"I'm just super lucky that he's not in pain any longer. Lincoln and I need some time off. but we can continue the show, even though it might be super hard without Mr. Grouse here with all of us."

Lincoln turned off the television screen right before lying right down on the sofa to bury his face right into a pillow that muffled his silent sobs and weeps perfectly.

"Lincoln?" Ronnie Anne asked him as she frowned in sympathy at the sight of her best friend for life once again sobbing silently to himself.

"Were you watching those old video clips again? I told you 27 times not to do that." Ronnie Anne sighed heavily just as he approached the sofa to console her best friend for life and 1 true love. she hated seeing him in such a state of despair like this. Ronnie Anne let out another heavy sigh when Lincoln had once again neglected to respond to her right before placing a nicely-wrapped gift basket on the sofa right next to her silent sobbing best friend for life and 1 true love.

"Here, Lincoln. Sid and Adelaide made you a gift basket." Ronnie Anne offered to try to cheer Lincoln up a bit. a smiling face spread right over her mouth when Lincoln had somberly sat right up to accept the gift. Ronnie Anne knew that Lincoln would never be able to resist candy snacks, no matter how depressed, sorrowful and heartbroken he was. the 1st thing that Lincoln pulled right outta his gift basket was a chocolate chimpanzee. this instantly reminded him of Bud Grouse and caused him to once again break out into tear drops, almost instantly upon viewing the chocolate snack treat.

Ronnie Anne frowned once again when Lincoln had completely abandoned the basket of yummy good candy snacks to begin sobbing silently on the sofa's bright blue pillow once again. this was more serious than Ronnie Anne had thought if Lincoln was gonna refuse chocolate snack treats.

"You know something? Mr. Grouse's grandson, Ian Credible inherited his apartment next door. think it might make you feel so much better to welcome him in the entire city town?" Ronnie Anne offered once again to try to cheer up her grief-stricken best friend for life and 1 true love.

"Mr. Grouse had a grandson? why didn't you say so in the 1st place?" Lincoln beamed up immediately perking back up. He quickly rushed right outside to greet his deceased neighbor's grandson just as he desperately hoped that Ian would help him fill the void that Bud Grouse had left in his entire life. Bud Grouse's 46 year old grandson, Ian let out a heavy sigh just as he slowly began unpacking his boxes. Ian had always wanted to live in his grandfather's apartment, but not at the cost of losing his grandfather for a super long time.

The mere thought of how his dearest grandfather had left him this apartment was 'cause he knew exactly how much he really loved it was enough to break poor Ian's heart just as his eyes became glossy with fresh tear drops. Ian's mournful train of thought was interrupted by a pair of eyes that were now inches away from his own. this of course caused him to jump right back with a cry of surprise right before he could even have time to register that Lincoln was now standing in his living room.

"Hi there, new neighbor. I'm Lincoln. I live right next door to you." Lincoln greeted his new next door neighbor.

"How exactly did you get in my apartment?" was all Ian had to say in response, followed by a suspicious stare that was directed right at his new next door neighbor.

"Here. let me help you unpack those boxes." Lincoln eagerly offered, ignoring Ian's previous question. he desperately wanted his secret replacement for Bud Grouse to like him so he went right over to the larger boxes to help him unpack.

"Uh...hey, wait! be super careful with that!" Ian cried out when Lincoln had decided to begin with his fishing trophy. Ian flinched super hard when Lincoln had inevitably dropped the trophy by accident, causing it to crash right on the floor of the dining room.

"Uh...I can actually fix this." Lincoln said to him with a nervous smiling face.

"No! I want you outta here! I want you outta my apartment and away from my stuff!" Ian exclaimed to him harshly.

"Uhhhhhhh..." Ian instantly began feeling his conscience beginning fill with regret at the sight of Lincoln's current facial expression. Lincoln's eyes began glossing over with tear drops just as a few sobs and whimpers had escaped from his quivering mouth. the last surviving young man he had left to remind him of Bud Grouse, hated him and right now, he truly lost his next door neighbor for good.

"Look, Lincoln, I-" Ian began when Lincoln had walked away from him in tear drops of depression and sorrow. Ian let out a heavy sigh of remorse right before he began walking right after the silent sobbing Loud boy. It didn't take too long for Ian to find Lincoln hiding right behind the armchair just as he was sobbing silently to himself.

"Lincoln..." Ian began which of course startled poor Lincoln into gasping in shock and surprise.

"It's alright. I won't yell at you again. I didn't really mean to upset you this much. I just been through a lot lately. I really did just lose my grandfather after all." Ian sighed heavily right before taking a seat right next to where Lincoln was sitting.

"Mr. Grouse was my next door neighbor, but he was also like a godfather and uncle to me as well too..." Lincoln sniffed depressingly. Right now, Ian was feeling even worse for yelling at his new next door neighbor.

"You were probably just trying to bond with me to fill the void, right?" Ian inquired, earning a somber nod from Lincoln in response.

"You shouldn't let me be the 1 to fill your void, Lincoln. I'm nothing at all like my grandfather. there's no way I could possibly be enough to fill your void, but there's more people who can: your parents, sisters, relatives, grandparents and best friends for life and lovebirds." Ian smiled gently at him right before glancing back over at Lincoln.

"I-I-I know that, but it still hurts more than anything." Lincoln glanced right back up at Ian depressingly.

"I know it does, it's really gonna hurt for a super long time, but when it does hurt, you can turn to anybody for consoling." Ian reminded him.

"You're absolutely right, Ian. it really hurts right now, but with my best friends for life and lovebirds and true family members I can get right through this." Lincoln enthusiastically agreed as he walked right back up from the floor.

"Good thinking." Ian grinned right before standing back up as well.

"Hey, Lincoln? I'm going to your father's diner for a dinner meal this evening, would you care to join me?" Ian remembered to offer right before he could walk away.

"No kidding! I would like to come along with you as well to." Lincoln excitingly agreed with him just he cleared his tear drops away right before following Ian right over to Lynn's Table. and while the pain of losing Bud Grouse had never gone away, Lincoln was now filled with a newfound sense of hopefulness.
