Katara let out a long yawn as she looked over the report of the quarter. She had been stuck doing paperwork all day long, and if she hadn't had her coffee, she would have fallen asleep long ago. Not that she was one to shy away from work, but reading over paperwork was basically like reading a book at night. Reading it for too long could put her right to sleep if done for longer than it should be done. As her eyes started to droop, she quickly shook her head and stood up. "Okay, I need to stretch my legs," she decided aloud as she looked around her office. Even after being the boss for four years, she still couldn't get over how expensive it looked. Everything in it was top of the line and was likely put there as a symbol of the company's success. Katara was never one for flashy things herself, but she couldn't help but admire some of the trinkets that her father had decided to put in before she had been given the position. As the company had expanded, Hakoda had decided that he would personally check up on each of the branches to ensure that they were in the best of shape. This had created a power vacuum, however, as he had been the one to run it. Fortunately for him, Katara had just finished College and was ready to go out there in the real world. Though he was offering her a well-paying job, he knew that she may one day decide she would rather do something different, so he made it clear that if she wanted to switch careers she would be able to without any hassle. Katara had always been grateful for her father. Ever since her mother had died, he was always there for her and understood that she likely wouldn't want to work for him forever.
A buzz could be heard over the intercom in the office. "Yes?" she answered it as she looked up to the speaker.
"Someone's here to see you, Miss Aqua," her assistant Meng said with annoyance apparent in her voice. Meng and Katara had an uneasy relationship. For some reason, no matter what Katara did, Meng hated her. Even though Katara had never said a bad thing about her, there was always some contempt in how she treated her superior. Though she supposed it could have been because Meng would have been next in line for the position she was currently occupying. She hadn't intended to steal it from her, but her father had wanted someone he could trust to take care of his home branch, and that apparently did not mean Meng.
"Thank you, Meng. You can send them in," Katara answered back politely, trying not to get any more on Meng's bad side than she already was. A couple minutes later, Meng opened the door with a young man behind her, making Katara drool a little as she stared at him. He was gorgeous. His chiseled features were complemented by his jet black gelled up hair. And best of all, his beautiful dark gray eyes. Looking into them, Katara couldn't help but feel like she was staring into the depths of a storm.
Meng smiled for the first time that Katara had seen since she had started working there at Aang who smiled politely back. "This is Miss Aqua." She turned to look at Katara with a small frown. "Miss Aqua, this is Aang White, the boss of the South West Branch in town."
Katara's eyes widened in realization as she realized where she had heard that name before. His name was well-known throughout the company, earning his way to the title "Boss of the year". Other than her father, of course. His reputation preceded him for being a well-known philanthropist, raising millions of dollars for various causes throughout the world. As time passed, although he loved seeing the world, he had decided that he should find a home to settle down in. It still amazed her that he had picked her city to stay in. Their city was also well-known, but not for a good reason. Crime was rampant throughout it, being in the top ten worst cities to live in list. Why he had chosen to settle down there, she would never know. He had started as an assistant and quickly made his way to the top with the help of friends who he had made and his trustworthiness. It had only been three months before the position was his while the old boss had decided to retire, having served them for long and faithful years. Aang had taken over and made a big impact on his branch, making sure that all of his employees felt as if they were cared for and were heard. Though she had never met him before, the talk of his kind and selfless deeds had inspired Katara to follow his example and work with her employees to make their work more enjoyable and to create a more work-friendly environment for her employees. Katara snapped out of her thoughts and smiled at him. "Hello, Mr. White. What can I do for you?"
Aang smiled back at her, making her unconsciously smile wider. His smile was beautiful. It seemed to radiate pure happiness and joy, as if nothing in the world could make it go away. "I'm sorry to bother you, but I would like to discuss some policies that have been called into question by my employees. Do you think we could discuss this in private?" he asked politely, not wanting to hurt Meng's feelings.
Katara nodded with her smile intact and looked over to Meng. "Of course. Meng, would you mind if we spoke about this in private?"
"Of course," Meng lied through her teeth. "I'll be down the hall if you need me." She smiled and winked at Aang before walking out the door, though not without blowing him a kiss. Once she was out of sight, Aang let out a mixture of what Katara could only assume was a groan and a sigh of relief.
"Is everything okay?" she asked worriedly, having no clue as to why Aang would seem so relieved at Meng's absence.
Aang nodded with a small smile as he looked at her after rubbing his eyes tiredly. "Yes, I'm sorry. I'm just relieved that I won't have to deal with her flirting, even if it's only for a short while."
"She was flirting with you?" Katara asked in bewilderment and a hint of jealousy in her voice. She inwardly rolled her eyes at herself. They had just met and she was already feeling jealous over someone she wouldn't be able to date, anyway.
"Yes, unfortunately," he sighed as he took a seat at her desk while she took hers behind it. "I wish I could say it hasn't happened before, but I would be lying."
Katara looked at him curiously. "What do you mean? Have you met her before?" she wondered.
Aang nodded with another sigh as he rubbed his head, trying to make his small headache go away. "Yes, I have," he admitted when he felt it finally go away. "I've been here a few times when there was a problem that involved both of our branches, but I've never met you before."
"Yeah, I've never met you before either," she laughed as she thought about it.
"Why is that?" he wondered as he tried to recall his earlier visits to this branch. "I've been in several times, but you were never available. Or so your assistant told me, anyway."
Katara shrugged as she sadly looked down at her desk. "Probably because over the last couple years, my Grandmother has been fighting cancer," she admitted with a sigh. Her eyes snapped up to him as she felt his hand go over hers.
"I'm so sorry to hear that, Miss Aqua," he murmured, making her blush as a jolt of electricity shot through her at his touch. "I hope that she pulls through. If it makes you feel any better, I know what you're going through," he admitted, taking her by surprise. "My Guardian, Gyatso, died from it after fighting it for three years."
She grabbed his hand in hers and squeezed it softly as she looked at him with sad eyes. "It doesn't get easier, does it?"
He shook his head slowly, not wanting to lie but not wanting to cause her more pain than was already in her beautiful cerulean eyes. "No, not really. But what's important is that we're there for them while we can be. As long as we do that, then we can be satisfied in knowing that no matter what happens, we didn't waste any time with them."
Katara couldn't help but be amazed at his words. Although he appeared to be around her age, he spoke with the wisdom of someone at least twenty years older than them. It was refreshing to meet a man who didn't say random and rather annoying things to her. For instance, her most recent "let go" employee, Jet. Although she had found him attractive at first, she had quickly stopped thinking of the possibility of anything happening between them when she actually spoke to him. His words were the opposite of wise, and frankly making him appear as an idiot. He lacked the care and grace Aang so easily gave off, while his words… let's just say the only reason Katara didn't give him a black eye was because she knew it wasn't worth the hassle. "You're right," she finally said after a few moments of silence. "I should spend more time with her, but it's hard to when you practically live at your work."
Aang laughed, making Katara smile. His laugh was infectious, and it took every professional fiber of her being not to laugh with him. "I know what you mean," he finally responded after settling down and smiling at her. "I haven't been on a date since I started leading my branch. Speaking of which," he pulled out some papers from a binder he had been carrying and passed it over to her which she took a closer look at. "The reason why I am here today. There are some policies that I would like to discuss."
"Which ones were you wanting to discuss?" she asked as she looked the papers over.
"Well," he started as he leaned in closer, making her breath catch in her throat before he took the paper from her and outlined some of the policies. "I only wanted to speak with you about a few of them. Most of these policies I completely agree with, and so do my employees, but these few have proven to be a problem for them."
Katara looked at the ones he had underlined. "The tardy policy?" she asked curiously as she looked up at him from the papers.
"Yes. Normally I'm all for making sure our workers are prompt and ready to work on time, but there are a few exceptions that should be looked into," he replied as he pulled out a picture from his binder of a young woman with a child in her lap.
"Who is this?" she asked with another hint of jealousy, wondering if this was his wife and child.
Aang smiled as he looked down at the picture. "This is my good friend, Ty Lee. Ty Lee is a single mother who works for my branch, but is often late due to her having to drop her child off at school. Unfortunately, with the policy that is in place, she is already on her second strike and will certainly get her third one should this remain in effect, which would then force me to terminate her. If I can get your approval and signature, I can submit this to your father and get it implemented company-wide."
Katara looked up at him in confusion. "But why do you need me to sign it? Couldn't you just deliver it to my father?"
"I could," he admitted as he looked at the paper. "But I would feel better about it if his most trusted employee and daughter supported me on this."
"I'm not his most trusted employee," she laughed as she looked into his eyes. "You're the one who won the "Boss of the Year" award."
Aang grinned as he remembered that. "As much as I appreciate the honor of that title, there's a reason why he put you in charge of this branch," he pointed out. "He trusts you completely and knows that you only have the company's best interests at heart. Mr. Aqua does not know me nearly as well as you do, therefore I would greatly appreciate your support in this."
"Well, I can support you on the tardy policy, but I would like to hear about the other ones you had in mind," Katara told him as she looked at the paper again.
"Of course," Aang smiled, making her smile back before he got back to business. "The second policy I wanted to talk about was the no second break policy."
Katara looked at him in understanding. "So you would like it if our employees got a second break?" He nodded in response. "Okay, I can sign for that. What's the last policy you had in mind?"
"The last one I had in mind was the company's dating policy," he told her, making her heart pound against her will.
"Oh. What about it?" she asked, still trying to settle her nerves and failing miserably. Aang got up from his seat and walked over to the side of the desk, trying to make sure he had her full attention. This became a problem for Katara, however, as the closer he got to her, the more she started to lose her train of thought.
"Well," he started thoughtfully. "A lot of my employees have complained about the 'no dating other employees policy' and I agree with them. Just because they work together doesn't mean that they shouldn't be able to try to find love with each other. That's not very fair to them."
Katara was silent for a moment, trying her best to keep her composure with him so close. "So what would you suggest then?"
He looked over to her with a smile as he stared into her beautiful eyes. "I would suggest that instead of preventing them from finding love, that we would instead have them sign an agreement that if their relationship doesn't work out that they won't quit or do bad things because of it."
"I don't know… my father was pretty adamant about this policy," Katara replied uneasily, feeling his gaze set her face on fire.
Aang smiled a little and moved to stand next to her, making her freeze as his warm hand was gently placed onto her shoulder, sending chills down her spine at his touch. "Well, if me and you work together on this, then I'm sure we could talk him into it. What do you say, Miss Aqua?" After a few moments of trying to get over her nerves, she nodded reluctantly, making him smile. "Great. Thank you very much, Miss Aqua. I was hoping you would agree with me on this policy."
"Why is that?" Katara wondered as she looked him in the eye.
He blushed heavily and rubbed his neck as he avoided her gaze. "Well… no reason in particular. It's just that… I've sort of found interest in a colleague of mine."
Katara's frowned a little as a wave of jealousy hit her, making her want to slap herself for feeling jealousy over someone she barely knew. "Oh? May I ask who?" she practically ground out of her clenched teeth.
"Well…" he started with a deeper blush. "Would you like an honest answer or for me to lie?"
Her heart started beating faster against her will as she stared at his embarrassed expression. "The truth, please," she finally responded.
Laughing nervously, and with a few moments of silence, he finally spoke, "Although I have just met you, I must admit, I've heard a lot about you before. And then meeting you in person, well… I guess you can say I've acquired a bit of a crush on you," he admitted, waiting for her to shoot him down.
Katara gasped, but instead of rejecting him like he thought she would, she did the opposite. She stood up from her chair and kissed him. His eyes widened in surprise, but sunk closed in bliss as he enjoyed the sweet taste of her lips. Katara knew that this was a little forward of her, but Aang didn't appear to be complaining, so she smiled into the kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck. His arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her closer, enjoying the feeling of having her in his arms. After a few minutes, the happy water bender was still a little surprised at all that was happening. She barely knew this man, and yet... she felt like she had known him her whole life. Katara could feel the familiar warmth settle between her legs as they kissed, the one she had never acted on until now. She didn't know what drove her to do it, but before she knew it, she was kissing his neck and attempting to unbutton his shirt before he grabbed her hands and put them back to her sides, earning a frown from her. "What?" she asked breathlessly.
"We just met and you want to have some fun already?" he asked just as breathlessly. "We don't need to go this fast."
She knew that he had a point, but the fire between her legs was only growing hotter as time passed, and it was quickly becoming too much for her. "I know," she finally said. "But I want you right now, Aang."
"Are you absolutely sure?" he asked doubtfully.
"What? Do you not want to?" she asked worriedly, afraid that she might have taken this too far and scared him off in the process.
Aang laughed a little. "Of course I do, but I want to make sure that you're truly okay with it happening before we do this."
Katara looked at him in disbelief. He wanted to make sure that she was truly okay with what they were about to do? She had never heard of a man who was hesitant to get into a woman's pants. "I'm absolutely fine with it," she assured him before she attacked his lips and unbuttoned his shirt. He didn't fight it this time and let her do what she wanted until he was left only in his boxers.
"How about I return the favor?" he asked with a smirk as he unbuttoned her shirt and threw it off, revealing a dark blue bra on her chest. She smiled and was about to kiss him again when she remembered they were in plain sight.
"Hold on just a second," she told him before running over to the the door and turning the lock and closing the shades on it, ensuring that no one would be able to see them. "Okay, let's do this," she smiled before resuming her attack on his lips. He smiled into the kiss and started taking off her bra, making her blush heavily as it dropped to the ground and covered her breasts.
Aang laughed a little at her embarrassment. "You're being shy now?" he teased.
She gave him a look as her arms remained over her chest. "This is my first time letting a man see me naked, so you'll have to excuse me if I'm not used to exposing myself," she responded with a slight huff.
His eyes widened in surprise. "You've never done this before?" She shook her head in embarrassment. "Are you sure that you want to give it to me? Your first time is special, Miss Aqua."
"Katara," she corrected him with a smile as his concern for her touched her. "And yes, I'm sure. Thank you for thinking about me, though." Feeling reassured knowing Aang was a good guy, she finally let her hands drop from her chest and moved up to kiss him, running her hands down his rock hard pecs as she enjoyed how it felt on her fingers. She started rubbing him through his underwear as they kissed, making him moan loudly against her lips before he couldn't take it anymore and ripped her pants off as well. They both blushed a little and smiled before they kissed again and quickly took off each others' underwear. Before long, Katara had cleared a space on her desk and was laying on it as Aang hovered over her, kissing her passionately as his length neared her entrance.
He broke the kiss and looked her in the eye. "Are you absolutely sure you want to do this? I don't want you to regret anything," he told her with worry in his voice.
She once again smiled at his concern for her and nodded quickly. "I'm absolutely sure, Aang." He still looked unsure, but he could tell by the look on her face that she really did want this. Without any more hesitation, Katara guided him inside of her as he stretched her, making her moan loudly as he made his way to her barrier. As he reached it, he was once again surprised that she truly was a virgin.
"I'm going to go slow so it doesn't hurt as much, okay?" he told her gently. She nodded with a smile and gasped as he pushed through, making her tear up a little as the pain mixed with the pleasure. "It's okay," he comforted her with a kiss until he finally made it through. After a few moments, the pain was replaced with full pleasure, making her moan as he very slowly moved within her, trying to get them used to each other. After a few more moments, she kissed him to signal that she was ready and he began thrusting inside of her, making her moan louder with every thrust.
"You're so big," she gasped as his thrusts picked up in speed, making him smile as he leaned down and kissed her again. A thought came to mind as her moans rang throughout the room. "What if someone hears us?" he asked her as his thrusts slowed.
Katara gave him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. These walls are soundproof. No one will hear us." He nodded and resumed his quick pace, making her moan into his chest as she felt her end coming quickly. After a few more thrusts, Katara couldn't hold it in anymore. "Aang!" she called out as she felt her first ever release. Giving her a couple minutes to settle down, Aang smiled down at her.
"Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are?" he asked curiously with a twinkle in his eye.
Katara rolled her eyes but couldn't keep the smile off her face. "You're just saying that because I'm having sex with you."
Aang shook his head seriously as he pulled out of her. "I'm not joking around, Katara. You are absolutely beautiful," he told her honestly, making her blush and smile happily back at him.
"Well thanks," she murmured shyly before she got up on her hands and knees before looking over her shoulder. "I'm ready when you are," she said with a wink. He didn't think it was possible, but that sentence had made him even more aroused than he already was. Without hesitation, he re-entered her, making her gasp as he went deeper than before. Unable to hold himself back any longer, he resumed his fast pace, making her moans louder as he had his way with her. As they made love, Katara couldn't help but think about how it had led to this. Not that she was regretting it, but the last thing she had expected would be for her to have a "meeting" in her office. Still, she wasn't complaining. They could feel their ends approaching quickly as they continued. "Aang," she moaned loudly. "I'm going to cum soon."
"Me too," he moaned back before he used everything he had in him and pounded into her, making her squeal as her climax finally reached her.
"Aang!" she called out as she felt her final release.
"Oh Katara!" he groaned as he finished inside of her, filling her up with his warm seed as she enjoyed the feeling. Realization hit him too late when he realized what happened. "Um," he said in an obvious mixture of breathless and nervous. "I didn't wear a condom."
Katara laughed as he pulled out of her and turned around to kiss him. "Don't worry about it, Aang. I've been on birth control since I was sixteen." He gave her a confused look. "My father wanted me to be prepared in case anything like this," she gestured to the clothes scattered throughout the office, "ever happened."
Aang let out a sigh of relief. "Great. I'm glad to hear it." He pulled her into a kiss to which she happily returned, getting drunk off the taste of his lips. After a few minutes, they slowly pulled apart and smiled at each other. "Thank you for that. That was amazing."
"Yeah, I liked it too," she laughed in return when her intercom went off. She blushed heavily as she realized where she was, but remembered that no one could see them. "Yes?"
"You've got a call on line one, Miss Aqua," Meng drawled in annoyance before she turned the intercom off.
Katara rolled her eyes at her and let out a long sigh. "I can't seem to get her on my side. No matter what I do, she always seems to hate me."
"Well I certainly don't hate you," Aang joked, making her laugh as they smiled at each other. He let out a long sigh and looked at her sadly. "Well, I suppose I should get going."
Katara looked down sadly. "Yeah, I guess you should."
They started gathering their clothes when Aang looked up at her. "Is there any chance you might be interested in a date?" he asked hopefully.
She smiled widely and nodded. "I would love to!"
"Great!" he smiled in relief and walked over to her after he was dressed. "I have to admit, I was a little worried."
Laughing a little, Katara shook her head at him. "We had sex and you're worried that I don't like you that way?"
He shrugged and smiled sheepishly. "Well, yeah. For all I know, this could have been just a one-time thing."
"Well let me assure you," she started as she walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "This definitely isn't a one-time thing." He smiled and she pulled him into a kiss which he returned passionately, making her smile against his lips as they kissed. After a few minutes, the need for air became too great and they slowly pulled apart.
"So would you do me the honor of letting me take you to dinner this Friday?" he asked hopefully. She answered him with another kiss before they both had to pull away, knowing that the more they kissed, the harder it would be to stop.
"Absolutely," she smiled widely and kissed him again before she returned her focus to the papers on the desk. "You still want me to sign these, right?"
Aang snapped out of his happy daze and nodded. "Yeah, if you don't mind. I'm sure my employees would appreciate it."
"Yeah, I'm sure they would," Katara agreed as she put her signature on each line and handed it to him. "So I'll see you Friday, then?"
He smiled and kissed her again. "Absolutely," he repeated with a wide smile. She smiled again and kissed him before reluctantly letting him go. "Until Friday, Miss Aqua," he did a silly half-bow, making her giggle before giving her one last smile and walking out of the room. Waiting a few minutes to make sure he was gone, Katara walked over to her desk and pressed the intercom.
"Yes, Miss Aqua?" Meng asked in annoyance.
Meng's obvious annoyance didn't break Katara's excitement for a second. "Please clear my schedule for Friday. I'll be taking a personal day."
"Yes Ma'am," Meng said sarcastically before the intercom went out. Katara smiled and sat back down in her chair and collected the paperwork that had been scattered all around her desk, feeling newly refreshed to do her work. I can't wait until Friday, she thought happily before diving back into her work.
