Everything was going on as usual at Fenton Works. Jack Fenton was building a new lofty anti-ghost invention, Maddie was supervising and taking care of the hard math calculations, Jazz was shaking her head disapprovingly, while reading a famous yet controversial phycology material and everyone assumed Danny was up in his room, not doing homework as usual.
Danny Fenton, resident ghost-kicking wonder was for once sound asleep. With no interfering ghosts to mess up Danny's evening, the teenage hero decided on a deserved siesta, even though his unfinished homework was piling up. He might have wished he had been awake, if only to spot the illegal video device planted in the corner of his room.
"Ah Daniel, have sweet dreams, little badger. And may the realm of dreams not keep you long…long enough to miss your nightmares"
A deep, sinister laughter emanated from Vlad. His evil plan, concepted from the darkest corners of his mind, was in the last stage and poor little Daniel didn't suspect anything. Although, life chess was a little too much to expect from a fourteen year old. With a grin on his face Vlad transformed into his alter ego and teleported himself to his dear college pal's house .
And of course he brought along, his special device.
Maddie sees him at the door then frowns, feeling uncomftable and irritated.
"Madeline, you look even lovelier than usual my dear"
Maddie glares at him while Jack runs to the door enthusiastically.
"Vladdie my man, it's so good to see you. Ready to rework some bugs on the Fenton Ghost detector with us?"
"Of course Jack, but first I've made you this personalized friendship bracelet to show just how much I appreciated being included in this affairs, hmmm. I made it buffoon-size so that it would fit even you" Vlad said showing this ominous looking metal bracelet with a red beeping jewel in the middle.
Jack positively beamed, than hugged Vlad tightly.
"Nonsense V-man, you're part of the family practically"
All the while Jazz was sitting on the cozy sofa, trying to appear uninterested in the conversation, yet memorizing every scoop, for Danny's sake.
"You flatter me Jack, and speaking of family, how is dear Daniel doing?"
"Vlad, Danny is sleeping now it's not the time to bother him" Maddie said.
"Oh come on Mads, Danny would love to see his uncle again" Jack says while putting the bracelet on and leading Vlad to Danny's messy room.
After Jack leaves skipping happily Vlad opens the door quietly, floats above Danny's head then run his fingers through his hair.
So much trouble for one small boy. It's a miracle the child can keep up with experienced ghosts, Vlad muses.
"Rise and shine Daniel! It's another day, another chance for your silly humanitarian acts , child"
Danny wakes abruptly, sees Vlad standing at his bedside and gives a girlish scream.
"Vlad! What are you doing here, cheesehead?"
Vlad's eyes turned red.
"Take heed not to insult me, boy. I do not wish to beat you to a pulp today"
Danny still sleepy,felt vulnerable and tried a different approach, pity in his eyes.
"Look, Vlad we don't have to try to waste each other any time we meet and you don't have to destroy my family in order to claim one. You are already sort of my evil uncle…so you already have a family. We should get along, unkie Vlad" Danny says while attempting to hug the other stunned ghost.
Vlad returned the hug desperately, but you could see the demons in his head haunting him.
"Your words are touching little badger but I'm afraid we cannot reach an accord, not until that fool Jack is disposed of and you and Madeline are at my side where you belong"
Danny looks disappointed.
"And I'm afraid you shall make my aspirations for fatherhood come alive pretty soon Daniel"
Seeing Danny's confused face Vlad laughed mirthfully than said
"I have gifted your bumbling buffon of a father a special little gift Daniel, one that reverses the effects of a de-aging cream , a thousand times over. I heard you are not too good at biology, for educational purposes, how would you like to see the skeleton of your dear old man?"
Danny looked horrifyied, than started pleading with Vlad
"No please, Vlad."
"Not to worry little badger all of that can be temporarily avoided…if you tell mommy and daddy how much you want to spend this summer vacation at your dear uncle Vlad's" Vlad said, getting into Danny's personal space.
